Amazing Raffle Prizes To Be Won

Please dig deep for The Gift Awards raffle, where there are lots of fabulous prizes to be won! All monies raised on the night will be divided between The Benevolent Society and The Light Fund

The Benevolent Society is a charitable society of the British Allied Trades Federation (of which the GA is a part) and financially assists individuals who have worked within the giftware, jewellery, surface engineering, travel goods and fashion accessories industries. The Society also helps individuals starting or progressing their career journeys in these industries through bursaries to help with their studies.

The Light Fund is a registered charity (with Max Publishing directors Jakki Brown and Ian Hyder two of its founders) which raises money for charity projects that help men, women and children all over the world. It has now raised over £2.3million since its inception in 2004 and has changed the lives of thousands.

Having A Laugh

Hosting tonight’s fabulous Awards ceremony is comedian George Zacharopoulos. Born and raised in Greece, George moved to the UK to study biochemistry in Newcastle Upon Tyne, doing stand up comedy soon after graduating. He has toured the world, supported many of the biggest comedians – to include Chris McCausland, winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2024 - and won numerous awards.

They include Best International 2022 Best Comedian at Melbourne International Comedy Festival (by the Comics Lounge), and 2024 Best European Performer at Edinburgh Fringe (by European Comedy Awards).

George is a headliner for most clubs around the world and was recently featured as Paul Chowdhry's tour support at the O2 Arena in London. He has also appeared on BBC One's The One Show, ITV's Good Morning Britain and Sky Arts.

founder of Candlelight, will, once again, be taking to the stage tonight, strutting his stuff with his band RockStock.

As a young ‘60s Rotherham rock star, his then band - The Origators Creed – topped the bill ahead of Joe Cocker, playing gigs supporting the Cream, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Pink Floyd and Wilson Pickett.

Joining Mike on stage will be RockStock’s lead guitarist, Andrew Poulston, managing director of PR Home.

Plus, Gift Awards’ photographer Eddie Macdonald, an original member of the internationally acclaimed rock band The Alarm, who currently fronts Smalltown Glory, will be putting down his camera to join RockStock for some of their numbers.
