THURSDAY 16 MAY 2024
We’re delighted to welcome the gift industry - retailers, gift suppliers, manufacturers, reps and agents - to The Gift Awards 2024, bringing all facets of our incredible industry together for an evening of celebration, networking and bonhomie!
Uniting the gift industry, the winners of The Giftware Association’s Gift of the Year (GOTY) product Awards, and The Greats gift retailer awards, will be revealed at tonight’s fabulous black tie event here at the
glittering Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
While the Gift of the Year Awards celebrate product excellence, innovation and creativity, The Greats Awards – now in their 22nd year –shine the spotlight on gift independents and multiples
that demonstrated exceptional retail flair last year.
Tonight is therefore a fabulous opportunity to recognise and reward excellence on both sides of the industry.
The widespread support for The Gift Awards, now in their third year, has seen another exceptionally strong roster of sponsors, as well as a high level of engagement with the Gift of the Year and The Greats Awards by all who entered, nominated and judged, further underlining their importance and status of these accolades that do the industry proud.
Of course we can’t wait to get the party started, and what better way than a glass of bubbly at the drinks reception which will be followed by a delicious Awards dinner, specially created by the chefs at the Royal Lancaster.
The fabulous winners of the Gift of the Year Awards
and The Greats Awards will be revealed during the evening, and afterwards, everyone is invited to dance the night away, enjoy the casino, and do some networking!
With such a stellar line-up of gift companies and gift retailers, we’d like to congratulate each and every one of our fantastic finalists and wish them all the very best of luck.
Have a fabulous evening!

The Greats Awards 2024
The fabulous Greats retailer finalists are the result of an industrywide poll of gift suppliers, reps, agents and selfnominations.
Please dig deep for The Gift Awards raffle, where there are some fabulous prizes to be won! All monies raised on the night will be divided between The Benevolent Society and The Light Fund.

Following a first round of online judging last December, the Gift of the Year’s live product judging, organised by The Giftware Association, took place across all four days of Spring Fair in February, with the winning products finally revealed tonight at The Gift Awards!
Adedicated area in Hall 5 at February’s Spring Fair provided the ideal venue for leading names in gift retail, as well as experts in the fields of sustainability, licensing and gift trade media,
to come together to browse and judge the shortlisted products in this year’s Gift of the Year competition.

Shown from left to right are: Clarion’s portfolio director Zoe Bonser, Sarah Ward, ceo of The Giftware Association, Fox Under The Moon’s artist and author Stacey McNeill and her husband Jamie McNeill.
All Gift of the Year finalists are also in with a chance of winning the coveted Judges’ Choice award tonight.
Over 90 industry experts comprised the judging panel this year, with shortlisted companies delighted to have their products put in front of a huge number of influential gift retailers, to include Blue Diamond, the V&A Museum, WHSmith, Scribbler, Lark, Utility and Brocante, as well as a host of independents.
“It was great to be back at Spring Fair for the third consecutive year to live judge the shortlisted entries, and we could not have been happier with the area which allowed the products to shine and
In addition, The Giftware Association will also be announcing the Gift of the Year’s People’s Choice award on Sunday 21 July at Harrogate Home & Gift, which is judged by the general public, enabling everyone to vote for their favourite product across all Gift of the Year categories.
The Award has again been opened up to all shortlisted products, affording an opportunity for a shortlisted company to get through to become the fourth People’s Choice winner.
With Blue Eyed Sun taking home The People’s Choice Award in 2021, Cardology announced the winner in 2022 and Fox Under the Moon in 2023, who will be the 2024 People’s Choice winner in 2024?
also receive the attention they deserve,” enthused the GA’s PR and marketing manager Chris Workman. “The event was a resounding success, attracting attention throughout the show, not just from the judges but from visitors too, who were using the area as a stop off point to find the best new exciting products on offer.”
Added Chris: “It was also great to hear about the traffic that our shortlisted
companies got to their stands through their products being on display in the GOTY judging area at an already bustling Spring Fair. Plus, excitingly, we also signed up a potential 80 new judges to next year’s awards from across the retail spectrum.”
Aside from being an essential part of the competition, many of the Gift of the Year judges are buyers who are always looking for the next best-selling product.
Connecting retailers with the newest products is one of the most rewarding aspects of the competition, says The Giftware Association.
With such an exciting range of products, the Gift Of The Year awards judges reflect the diversity of the gift industry. Judges are experts, operating at the heart of the industry, with every judge lending prestige to the competition.
