Double Royal Recognition

Talking Tables And Sebnini Receive King’s Award

Talking Tables and Sebnini have both been recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise for their excellence in international trade. Talking Tables’ main export markets are the US and Europe, where over a three year period - 2019-2022 – the company achieved outstanding overall growth in overseas sales of 67%.

“We are highly honoured to receive The King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade,” said Talking Tables’ founder and managing director Clare Harris, who founded the business in 1999. “It provides huge inspiration as we look to bring Talking Tables to even more customers in the USA, Europe and beyond.”

Also honoured was leading private label company Sebnini. Following three years of outstanding export growth of over 500%, the business, a leading company in the global home fragrancing market, is among the first home fragrance companies to be honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade.

Founder and managing director Gert Schyberg said: “It’s a real honour, and recognition for our staff. They have worked so hard to make the business a success and we couldn’t have achieved this without their

endeavours and expertise. It’s a real tribute to them.”

While the UK and Ireland remain Sebnini’s main markets, they are closely followed by the US and Europe. The company also supplies Canada, and has contracts with retailers in Australasia, with the international side of the business headed by Gert’s son, Seb Schyberg, Sebnini’s international sales manager. Both companies have the right to use the King’s Award accreditation for the next five years.

For the third year running, Talking Tables is the lead partner of The Great British Garden Party. The event, which officially kicks off in July, has been designed by the National Garden Scheme to share the nation’s love of gardens and get-togethers to help raise funds for beneficiaries to include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Carers Trust, The Queen’s Nursing Institute and Parkinson’s UK.

As part of the partnership in 2023, Talking Tables will be donating a 5% royalty payment to the National Garden Scheme from the UK sales of its most popular Truly Scrumptious ranges of party accessories, throughout April to September 2023, which will include hand-curated Great British Garden Party tea party kits.
