London, England
This photo series aimed to capture the gritty yet beautiful environment of the area where I grew up.
London is a place of constant change, dynamic in nature, it can be hard to comprehend at times. To understand London’s scope, history and unique culture, this photo series positions you off the busy streets and provides you with an out-of-reach glimpse at the residential houses of London.
Personally, these photos show my own home in a way I’ve never been able to see before. Playing with my perception of familiarity
Yorkshire Dales, England
This photo series is aimed at capturing the majestic countryside of the UK.
Camping out in the Yorkshire Dales for a week at the end of autumn, I faced the elements head-on. I watched as the landscape modelled and morphed in front of my eyes as the weather changed from Sun to Rain, Fog to Fresh. This is a reminder that mother nature is a beauty we face that constantly changes our perceptions.
With this Photo series, I challenge myself slightly outside my comfort zone to capture this beauty of nature.
Lagos, Portugal
This photo series is aimed at highlighting the natural material pallet of the sandstone cliffs in Lagos, Portugal.
Famous for the windows screensaver, the cliffs and caves in Lagos, Portugal inspire dreams of a child-like magical land. Sailing for discovery and fighting off pirates. It’s easy to forget this imaginative sense of awe as you grow older, so I challenge myself to reframe that imagination using the unique perspective a drone can get.
The rich blue water, to me, was the real main subject. Deceptively calm, yet the scares of its power are visible in how it is able to mould the land to form these alien cliffs.
Rotterdam, Netherlands
This photo series is aimed at exploring the true character of Rotterdam.
Rotterdam is a city unlike any, it holds the historic Dutch charm, yet its playful architecture keeps it current and allows innovation to flourish. However, moving there I wanted to try to discover its true character.
It’s hard to deny Rotterdam’s beating heart being the port. Even as the industry is slowly moving out of the city, Rotterdam is reclaiming it to host and inspire art, innovation and culture. This is what I wanted to focus on, the spaces where these changes are happing.
This photo series hopes to grow as I understand the city more.
