About Us Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). While our work is focused in Lucas County, Ohio, we align ourselves with HFHI’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our local history started in 1988, when a group of community and congregational volunteers formed Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity. Homes were rehabbed and eventually new homes were built. ReStore was added in 2004 and the Home Repair Program in 2008. 225 homes and 643 plus repairs later, our focus remains the same: ensuring everyone has the opportunity to own and live in safe, decent affordable housing.

Leadership Letter Dear friends, 2020 was an incredible year, in many ways. While Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity faced incredible challenges, YOU stepped up to ensure our mission could go on. It was only because of you - donors, volunteers, Habitat Homeowners, and staff - that 2020 was such an impactful year. Because of you, our affiliate and ReStore even won The Toledo City Paper’s Best of the Best! Together, we overcame a lot. Despite COVID, you - our loyal volunteers and donors - built houses and bridged funding gaps. Thank you for your continued partnership and for giving. As you flip through these pages be sure to discover all the amazing things you helped accomplish because you believe in the power of home and its lasting generational impact for families in Lucas County.
