Reuse. Reduce. Recycle. ReStore. Dear Friends, A look back to 2019 reveals an incredible year of progress and impact for affordable housing in our community. Because of you, there was a lot of celebrating. We rang in the New Year with the 15th Anniversary of ReStore. Celebrating 15 years gave our community new reasons to donate a piece of furniture or stop by and find an elusive treasure that had to be purchased. Habitat for Humanity ReStore has become a proven community hub. The life-changing impact we demonstrated in homeownership was only possible because of you, the passionate donor and the energetic volunteer. You helped others attain their dream of homeownership. With your help we created several new partnerships, like the one with Lott Industries, where two of their team members purchased a new home in 2019 and two more will do the same in 2020. Your generous support has allowed existing homeowners, throughout Lucas County, to attain the necessary home repairs they desire. Homeowners like Jaye, who with your help had her family’s homestead get a new roof so she no longer had to deploy a rain bucket brigade to capture the water coming into her home. Your neighbors, your family members, and your fellow worshippers now live in safe, healthy homes. Because of your support, lives were changed including when we closed out the 2019-year handing over keys to 7 new Habitat families. Home for the holidays never felt better!
