YOGA CLASSES AT THE MATTHEWS COMMUNITY CENTER

Wednesdays, 6pm-7pm 7-week session | November 16-January 11 (No classes 11/23 or 12/28) Matthews Res. $70 | Non-Res. $75

Due to social distancing, space is limited. 6-week session | October 19-November 30 | 11am-11:45am (No class 11/23) Classes will include fundamental tap technique, movements and vocabulary, basic rhythms and combinations both across the floor and center. Broadway and jazz tap styles will be taught. Tap legends and the rich history of tap dance will be discussed as well. Dance has been proven to help with reflexes, coordination, concentration and memory! Matthews Residents: $70 | Non-Residents: $75

November 5 | 10am-11:15am | Ages 6-11 Registration Fee: $30 Learn about simple machines and use the process of testing and problem solving skills to engineer a take home propeller car. Will your car be a contender in the Challenge Island race? Join us for this engaging hands-on workshop.

ADULT INTRODUCTORY TAP CLASSES

4-week session | 10am-11am Mondays | November 14-December 12 Thursdays | November 17-December 15 (No classes on 11/12 or 11/24) Give yourself the gift of yoga this holiday season! This is a practice with an easy, smooth flow of basic yoga poses combined with gentle stretches and breath work. This is a great way to start strengthening your muscles, particularly your core muscles. We will begin where you are and build gently, listening to your body all the way. A key benefit is that you will develop and improve balance in this series of classes. Leave each class with a smile on your face and feeling good! school's out days

October 31 | Ages 5-12 | 9am-12pm and/or 1pm-4pm Register for both and get a full day! Each day consist of artistic projects and every day is different! Explore an array of mediums from painting, clay, jewelry design, drawing, illustration & so much more. Pre-packaged snacks and bottled water are provided.
