bridge club The Charlotte Bridge Club offers games on Tuesdays from 12:30pm-4:30pm Cost is $7.00 per session.
soul line dance In partnership with Purple Steppers, a free Soul Line Dance class will be offered at the Crews Recreation Center on Mondays from 12pm to 1pm.
American elite martial arts
Youth classes offered on Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30pm for all ages interested in learning the basics of martial arts in a fun and active environment.

tai chi for health Slow meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. The ultimate purpose of Tai Chi is cultivating the Qi within us to flow smoothly and powerfully throughout the body. Classes will be offered every Monday & Thursday at 10:30am. ADULT INTRODUCTORY TAP CLASSES 6-week session | May 11-June 15 45-minute class If you want to learn tap but never had the opportunity or danced as a child and remember it fondly, this tap class is great for beginners or dancers with some tap experience. Classes will include fundamental tap technique, movements and vocabulary, basic rhythms and combinations both across the floor and center. Broadway and jazz tap styles will be taught. Tap legends and the rich history of tap dance will be discussed as well. Dance has been proven to help with reflexes, coordination, concentration and memory! Color of Jazz is a live jazz, soul and blues music series paying tribute to jazz greats and emerging jazz artists from America and abroad. FREE ADMISSION! 18 & Up This event is sponsored by Culture Blocks, a community partnership between ASC, Charlotte, Mecklenburg Library and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation to bring arts and cultural experience closer to where residents live.
