Beats ‘n Bites 2025 Lineup

As the crisp air and shorter days mark the arrival of winter, I want to extend a warm welcome to the Winter edition of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resource Department newsletter Winter is a special time in Matthews, offering unique opportunities to gather, play, and create lasting memories

Our goal is to continue creating opportunities for you to participate in the activities you enjoy The team has also embraced the challenge of finding those new and innovative ideas to share with you. Crews Recreation Center will have you dancing with the Soul Line Dancing program, along with other programs to keep you active One program I have on my radar is the Intro to Stand-Up Comedy, held at the Matthews Community Center This program will be the perfect combination of laughter and learning.

During the colder months, parks remain open and ready for your visits Whether you prefer a peaceful winter walk, an invigorating run, or simply soaking in the beauty of a frosty morning, our trails and green spaces offer the perfect escape Remember to bundle up and enjoy the outdoors safely

This season, let’s embrace the opportunity to connect with nature, with the community, and with each other Your participation and feedback inspire us to keep growing and improving, so don’t hesitate to share your ideas for how we can make our parks and programs even better Let’s make Winter 2025 magical!
