01.

Puresport London Marathon

The Project:

Puresport required a small scale, mobile and disruptive activation for the side of the London marathon. The aim was to create a roadside pop up hydration station that could highlight the brand to all the runners of the marathon. As Puresport were not an official sponsor the marathon the activation needed to be mobile to avoid issues with the marathon organiser

Sol De Janeiro Selfridge’s Pop Up

The Project:

Sol De Janeiro required a pop up 3.5m x 7m activation for a Christmas campaign in Selfridge’s. The campaign aimed to show some custom artwork gifting box sets that were exclusive to Selfridge’s and to help promote the products to those unaware of the brand.

Examples of the packaging for the promotional sets to be sold in the pop up. Some of the sets were exclusive to Selfridge’s for a Christmas launch

The primary focus of this campaign was some felt artwork made for Sol De Janerio, to be used in the pop up and on the packaging sets.

Gymshark Lift Events

The Project:

Starting in 2023 Gymshark re launched their “LIFT” event series, beginning in Manchester, England, before going to LA, Miami and New York in the US. Gymshark required detail floor plans, showing individual spaces, these plans were used to calculate capacity’s, and for quoting certain build elements. Gymshark also required full renders for band partners and internal presentations.

Each new LIFT even had its own brand guidelines to fit with the respective city and unique sets of graphics to build into the project.

04. Lounge Underwear Printemps

The Project:

For Lounge’s pop up in Paris Department Store, Printemps, I designed a 2.2 x 4 metre space. The space required storage in the base, rails to feature multiple ranges and a full size mannequin.

To the right is the client supplied mood board that inspired some of the initial concepts and was used to refine the final concept.

Here are two basic technical drawings showing general dimensions for submission. The drawings also show the custom rug, organic shape of the base and the placement of the mannequin.

Lounge had some separate visions for how the concept should look, therefore in the initial pitch stage a few different concepts were pitched including a “London style” concept from a different mood board. Ultimately the middle concept was chosen a refined for the final concept

The concept was heavily inspired by the Barbican laundrette, a common filming location due to its aesthetic.

Converting the small space that had a significant amount of existing units and featured very dated decor was a difficult task. While some of the units were able to be removed a significant amount couldn’t be an the design required cladding a the existing units to create the desired effect.

Broken Planet Pop Up

The Project:

Broken Planet’s large scale London pop up, the brief was to create a “wow” activation space that showcased the range of products in the launch. Broken planet supplied a range of graphics from the clothing launch and a mood board of concept ideas.

The pop up was inspired by a “retro” gas station in the main product launch colours. These are a mix of client supplied images for the design of the event.

Graphics were supplied by Broken planet, these included parts of the applied graphics for the clothing and some logos that were edited to used on the build

The interior of the gas station included 3 screens showcasing Broken Planet “retro” style adds

Brand guidelines were finalised later in the design process, these graphics were used on the stand.

The client didn’t have a clear plan for look an feel of the pop up. The final design took shape over multiple iterations to updated brand guidelines that were finalised later in the process. The venue guidelines also changed some parts of the design preventing hanging large objects.

Two initial renders of the space showing early stages of the design before the front rails had been developed. The render on the left is to show how the space works for Selfridge’s and the right render was for the client.

Some detailed tec drawings of the elevations of the space for submission to Selfridge’s, only the bespoke units are shown as the two back rails were already in the space.

09. Candy Kittens Waitrose

The Project:

As part of a ‘Veganuary’ campaign the Vegan sweet brand Candy Kittens wanted a small 2.5m x 2.5m pop-up in the Waitrose store in Canary Wharf. The pop-up needed to feature product displays and spaces for staff to hand out samples.

The client supplied logos and Pantone colours as well as some examples of their promotional campaign that the pop-up had fit within the guidelines of.

Some Sketch-Up and Vray renders of initial concepts showing the development of the final design.

The mood board was aiming to emulate a modern take on an old sweet shop, featuring the Candy Kittens brand colours.

Puma Speedcat Activation

The Project:

For the relaunch of the Puma Speedcat we were hired by an agency for an event showcasing the shoe. The project was to convert a space in protein studios into a make shift car garage that fit with the style of the shoe.

Puma Speedcats are thin sole racing style shoes that have been relaunched in recent years as they have become fashionable again.
