What you are about to read is a living, breathing story that was written by actual students. I provided a setting, they provided the characters. We embarked on a dangerous voyage into unknown space to face a mysterious threat. This is our story.

CHAPTER ONE The Begining

Daisy Chen 20/4/14 Grade 5 English Class

The Beginning Your adventure begins, create a document and write a brief description of who your character is. Then, on the same document write: DAY 1: and below describe what your character's last day at home before leaving for their mysterious mission was like. Bonus: think of a cool name for the ship (you will need to decide together next class) Abigail Sanders a.k.a. (also known as) Abi is a human engineer and she lives in Tokyo, Japan with her sister Amelia Sanders a.k.a. Millie . Abigail builds stuff for the National Museum of Nature and Science in Taito City. Abigail and Amelia Sanders live in an apartment by themselves. Amelia and Abigail are twin sisters, their 18 years old and Amelia is 1 minute older then Abigail. They used to live in Beijing, China and can speak Chinese, English and Japanese. They also REALLY like space. Abi is one of the tomboys and she hates dresses. She really likes reading and building stuff (that is why she's an engineer). She hates and is afraid of bugs, especially spiders.

On the last day, right before our trip to space, My sister Amelia/Mellie and I went to a dessert restaurant called Sweet Café Tokyo. It was DELICIOUS !! I will definitely miss it while I’m in space. Though, I'd rather be in space then do boring high school homework. I’m very excited for the trip. After we went to the bookstore, I only brought, like, 3 books (I like rereading them) and my sister went crazy. She brought more than 20 books. My sister went to the gaming store while I went to the tools shop. I brought a whole tool box, full of tools for the trip. When Mellie and I went home, we started packing. I didn’t have a lot of things to bring so packing was easy (unlike my sister who had trouble closing the suitcase) We had an excellent dinner and I double checked I had everything and started sleeping. Tomorrow, were going to board the HWSS Nightingale.

Creative Writing - Christina Ye My Character, Salem, is an asari-born communicator. She loves studying constellations and other planets during the night, and is eager to adventure. Salem also enjoys baking all sorts of asari sweets for her friends aboard the ship. Her worst fear is heights, she is disgusted by any sort of spider.

Day 1 7:30am. That’s when I’m woken by the loud sound of my alarm clock. Even though we are supposed to leave at nine, I don’t even have anything packed. Scrambling, I get out of my bed and get dressed. “Pants, shirts, telescope, check!” Now that I’m ready, I head down to breakfast and am greeted by the warm smell of fresh scones. I read the clock and realize I’m going to be late, so I pack my breakfast in my bag and take Zorg-transit to the dock. On the bus, I take a look out my window, where I see twinkling lilacs and tall cedar trees. There, I exchange a quick hello with my other asari-born teammates, and head on to the gleaming ship in front of me.

Liliana (Lily) Fayette Violette Hannah Wu

Lily is a sweet, small girl at the age of 13. But don't be fooled by her appearance, because when she gets mad, her personality could match a fiery dragon! Lily has light blonde hair that goes down near her waist, light crystal blue eyes, and rosy peach skin. Lily is the youngest child amongst her family. In her very large family, there is her mother and father, 8 children (including herself), 7 aunts, 6 uncles, 23 cousins, all of her grandparents, 7 great-grandparents, 3 great, great, grandparents, 1 great, great, great grandparent, a handful of siblings in law, several pets, and several more people. (Her family has generations of millionaires and billionaires) Lily may be bold and fiery at times, but she has several fears. She’s scared of the dark, small spaces, sicknesses, needles, spiders, being alone, thunder and lightning, blood, clowns, dead things, death, fire, and abduction. So, she may be brave, but she has many, many fears. She dislikes all of these things and rude people, pollution, and war. But of course, all things positive, she has things that she does like. For example, she likes books, debate, dresses, stars and planets, cooking and baking, fairy tales, mythical creatures, flowers, the colour purple, art, swimming, tennis, peace, music, language classes, gems, stuffed animals, real animals, people, stargazing, roller coasters, amusement parks, dancing and much, much more. She was invited to join the mission because of her ability to persuade people and win any argument. This is why she is able to become a Communicator. (She also wanted to try being something else, like an engineer, but she was absolutely terrible with science, never understood engineering, enjoyed sports but couldn’t lift a barbell if she wanted to, and isn’t old enough to fly a ship or drive.)

The Last Day (From 3rd perspective) Liliana Fayette Violette had tossed and turned all night. She couldn’t fall asleep! But I mean, would YOU be able to fall asleep if you were going to go on a spaceship the next day? Liliana lay on her bed in silence. What if my crew members don’t like me? she thought to herself. I mean, I’m so excited to go there, but I am just so stressed! Liliana looked around her room and quietly tiptoed over to her desk. She started sketching randomly and looked out the window. She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder and let out a yelp of surprise. “What are you doing up so early Lily?” She turned around and realized that it was just one of her older brothers, Blaze. “It’s nothing Blaze.” she whispered. He arched an eyebrow. “Are you sure?” he said, picking up her drawing. She had drawn an image of a spaceship with people and aliens onboard. “Yeah, it’s just that I’m so worried. What if I don’t do well?” “Lily, I just know that you will do fine.” “Thanks, Blaze.” she said and stood up and gave him a hug. “Now,” Blaze yawned “Let’s get some sleep, shall we?” As she crawled into bed and slowly drifted off to sleep, she silently thought: Whelp, there’s no going back now. Oh Goodness. Lily thought. Lily had just woken up, finished packing, got dressed, and dragged her suitcases to the living room. She had dropped them off, and the second she entered the dining room, her entire family popped out and yelled “SURPRISE!” The ‘surprise’ had actually knocked Lily over. Her eldest sister, Julie pulled her back up to her feet. “Come on little sister! Enjoy your last day on Earth!” At those words, her mother rushed over, wrapped her arms around her and burst into tears. “My baby girl is going to space!” she blubbered. “Mom, I’ll be fine” Lily whined. “Please get off of me!” It took 8 of the family members to pull her mother off. As Lily started eating her breakfast she asked “Are you all really coming

to the lift-off?” “We sure are darling!” her father said from beside her and clapped her on the back, almost making her spit out her orange juice. “But how are we going to fit everyone in the cars? I mean, there are about 70 of us here!” “Don’t worry,” said Blaze, scooching over next to her. “You do remember that the lift-off will be on live TV, right?” “Wait, what?” Lily shouted. “Oh don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” Blaze said, trying to take a piece of her bacon. “Hey!” Lily said, slapping Blaze’s hand away. “Get your filthy paws away from my food!” “Time to go!” said Aunt Helena, over yet another heated argument between Lily and Blaze. After about 30 seconds, it appeared that Lily had won the argument. “Okay,” Lily said, munching a piece of her donut, “Let’s go!” This is it! I’m going to go to space!

The Beginning Celina Wang

It’s the year 2660 and tomorrow I’m supposed to go on some kind of mission in space. It’s probably dangerous considering it’s in space. I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to pack now. I’m not very sure what to pack so let’s just assume I’m going on vacation. I packed some clothing, toothpaste, a toothbrush, a first aid kit, shoes, some books, a pencil case(with writing utensils inside), some notebooks, test tubes and some test tube racks, an Erlenmeyer flask, a syringe and some pipettes. I’m not really sure about the last few since there might be equipment at the station. So. It might be dangerous to go and there is a slight chance of death, I guess. That probably means saying goodbye to my couch. Also my very comfortable bed that has served me for many years.

I’m going to sleep now on my very comfortable bed. It’s only 8:30 at night but I have nothing better to do so I’m going to sleep.

Clover Felicity Lu

Clover is a young scientist who just graduated from university. Clover is very smart and organized and is a straight-A student. She has always been a pretty quiet person so she doesn’t have many friends but she doesn’t mind. Clover is terrified of all bugs except for ladybugs and butterflies. However, aside from that, she is not afraid of many other things. Currently, Clover lives in a small apartment in Downtown Toronto and spends almost all her time in the local library reading books mostly about space.

Day 1

Ever since I was little, I have always wished to go to space for a special mission and tomorrow my wish is finally coming true. Obviously, I've already packed all my books, clothes, laptop, etc, in my black suitcase and taken a cool relaxing shower. As I get ready to make myself a sandwich for lunch, I start to worry: What if my colleagues aren't nice? What if I get injured badly? What if we fail our mission? What if something goes horribly wrong and I don’t make it back home? I mean anything can happen since my boss didn’t tell us anything about this secret mission. To calm myself down, I quickly finish my delicious sandwich and head over to the nearby park with some bread to feed the ducks. Later as I go to bed, I tell myself: Tomorrow is the start of a new adventure.

I am Amelia Sanders, a human scientist living in Tokyo,

Japan with my sister Abigail Sanders, I’m also known as Millie. She works at National Museum of Nature and Science in Taito City. She and her sister live in an apartment in Taito City without our parents. I am 19 and older then Abigail by 1 minute. I used to live in Beijing, China and can speak Chinese, English and Japanese. I am fascinated by space and hope to go on an adventure someday. Millie likes reading books of all kinds except horror, playing video games and cooking. I love drawing, sketching, painting and all other arts as well. I don't like getting sick because it’s annoying, especially barfing Amelia hates spiders, mostly poisonous ones and can’t tell the difference between poisonous and non poisonous.

On my last day at home before her long awaited trip to space, me and her sister went together for ice cream, pizza and Sweet Café Tokyo. I will definitely miss all the treats while in space, I’m sure it will be worth it though, to see all the different planets and species. At a book store I bought a lot of books to read for the trip and at Electro Video Games, I bought lots of the newest video games, 2 sketchbooks and other art supplies to last me the entire journey. I’m excited to draw planets and see them up close. After dinner, I started packing, it was really hard trying to close my suitcase and it took a long time but soon I was prepared and decided to sleep early.

The Beginning Anneaka Zhou

My character’s name is Mr. Potato. She is actually a girl but she uses Mr. not Ms. because she likes wearing fake moustaches, round glasses and a tophat. Mr. Potato is obviously not her real name and she prefers other people and herself to use Mr. Potato. She isn't very tall or short. She has light brown hair which is straight and she wears basic clothing. A sweater and thick pants in the winter, a sweatshirt and sweatpants in fall, a jacket, a t-shirt and more sweatpants in spring, and a t-shirt and jeans in the summer. But sometimes to be funny, she wears a very horrible looking suit to match her accessories. She was born smart but she doesn’t really use it well, she only uses it to make bad puns, troll people in video games and beat other people in video games. Mr. Potato’s real name is Iris but she dislikes that name because it is only four letters and she hates names that are four or less letters. She is currently 21 years old and she moved to Canada when she was 11. Since she doesn’t like the outdoors (and she has never liked it in her life), she hasn’t been anywhere in particular. The only other country she has been in was the UK which is where she was born. She still has a british accent because she never bothered to change it. The reason for her not liking the outdoors is that when she was born, she absolutely hated being outside her mother’s stomach and it was freezing, bright and there was too much going on and after that, she disliked the outdoors. Mr. Potato still doesn’t know why she is claustrophobic. It just makes her feel sick and uncomfortable. Being claustrophobic is another reason why she dislikes the outdoors. She hates being in crowds so when her mother told them they were going to see a firework show when she was six years old, she kept on saying no for around 20 minutes until her mother let

her stay with her grandparents until they came back. Okay now that was like 10 years ago. So, yesterday Mr. Potato got a call from some mysterious person who told her that she had to join them on a secret mission because they needed more scientists. Since she was working as a CEO for a famous science laboratory so it made sense that they would ask her. At first she thought it was just some sort of scam and hung up. But after 20 minutes of thinking about that call, she thought that maybe it wasn’t a scam and it was a huge opportunity to work on something super cool. What she didn’t know was that they were actually using all the scientists to study aliens! She called them back and said that she wanted to join. The next day, she got an email which told her everything she needed to pack up and buy before tomorrow, which was their leaving day. All of the necessary items were all super suspicious like astronaut suits and giant test tubes. Now Mr. Potato is very suspicious but decided to go along with it because she signed up already and they told her she cannot cancel her application. At this time, she still dislikes the outdoors but not as much as before. Before she started getting ready for tomorrow, she emailed them and told them hopefully whatever they’re doing won’t be in a tight area. They replied with “It will be in a huge area with lots of space to do things.” She hasn’t talked to anyone in person for 2 and ½ months already because she lives by herself and she never talks to cashiers unless there isn’t a self-serve area to order whatever you want. She talks a lot with people she knows like her friends which she calls everyday. She likes it like that and her job is cancelled because of the COVID 19. The mysterious company who contacted her to join them claimed that no one in their crew has COVID 19 and it’s safe to go. Mr. Potato also called her friends to say bye to them. The mysterious company said that they didn’t know how long the trip

would be and that they were NOT responsible for any deaths as it was their decision whether or not they should do something. This was her first time going on the ship which was when the ship was first invented. Mr. Potato was a member of the crew for around 5 years and is super used to the random missions that usually lasted for around a year. This year on April 13th, she was contacted by their boss for another random mission, this time, they needed more gear than they ever needed before. Her boss told her that this mission will be even more dangerous and they could only hire one security person because no one else wanted to go. There is a 35% higher chance of death than last time they went on a mission which was 15% chance of death. Which means this time there is a 50% chance of death on the trip! Mr. Potato’s friends were more dramatic than herself and this time they told her that she should write a will just in case she dies. Strangely she actually wrote one which just said give everything to my parents. Mr. Potato was guessing that her friends thought that she was going to give them some things. When she finally finished packing up, it was already 9:00 PM. Mr. Potato got ready for bed much earlier than before because the ship was going to leave at 5:30 AM tomorrow morning. (End of DAY 1)

CHAPTER TWO Encounter in the Violet Nebula

Encounter in the Violet Nebula Celina Wang

Well, this is strange. Why the heck is this a secret mission? This is very unusual. Usually, the public knows about our missions. I can see a few familiar people here. Captain Keys talked about some stuff. I kind of zoned out, so here was what I heard: blah, blah, blah, Drakarians, blah, blah, blah, help, blah, blah, blah, rescue, blah, blah… Then, there was a vibrating noise. Oh, heck! Was Captain Keys putting this sound on because we weren’t listening? Turns out, that probably was a distress call from the Drakarians. So we have to go rescue them? We got on the SS Stormfalcon with the annoying navigator Gideon. I’ve always wanted to punch him in the face. Unfortunately, that’s not allowed. We fly off. Whoa, there’s this purple nebula. It’s really pretty. The distress signal is coming from

there. If we go in the nebula, we won’t be able to communicate with anybody else other than the other ships. That’s pretty scary. Once we entered, there was a Drakarian ship. We went to the Drakarian ship with Gideon driving the smaller ship to the Drakarian ship. I brought a flashlight along. When we got inside, Captain Keys, Garrus and Commander Miranda were there with people from the other ships. I advanced carefully. The walls were close to drywall but nothing we knew of. The corners were very dark. I was too engrossed in examining the wall to notice anything else. There were slimy doorways of an unknown substance that made a squishing noise when it opened. Ugh. Looks like vomit. I have Emetophobia which is fear of vomit. We stepped through. What was this slimy stuff? One of the other scientists scraped some of it off into a bottle but the slimy stuff burned a hole through the glass. Wow, that’s some corrosive stuff.

There were 3 doors in front of us. Captain Keys, Garrus and Commander Miranda stepped through one of them. Well, some person fainted, probably because of the dark. Since I brought along a flashlight, I decided to shine them in the corners. There were some kind of weird creatures that withdrew from the light. Weird. Suddenly, Captain Keys appeared out of the doorway and was fending off some kind of creature. He told us to get back. What? I was too shocked to process everything. Commander Miranda and Garrus appeared too, also fending off The creatures. Ok… I’m running now! The slimy door that we went through closed. One of the engineers squeezed a knob and the door opened. Whew, thanks engineer! We ran through the hallway and into our tiny ship. That idiot Gideon had no idea what was going on! Garrus shoved him into the ship and told him to fly 2 times before he responded! We flew quickly, but not quick enough.

Another scientist tried to make us go faster by taking the energy from the lighting system to make the ship go faster. It worked, but it still wasn’t enough. A tractor beam tries to pull us back to the Drakarian ship, but we were fast. We were just going slower. Captain Keys drives his ship to our ship and the tractor beam is on him now so we speed up. He does the same thing to the other ship and he gets dragged back to the Drakarian ship. I’m freaking out now. The ships aren’t in defense formation yet. I guess they were too far away to know anything. Once they saw the tractor beams they put up energy force fields. Suddenly, a thing erupts from the top of the Drakarian ship. It starts building up light and points toward the Pillar of Autumn. The light flew towards the Pillar of Autumn and sliced through the energy force field like it was butter and through the ship. So now

the Pillar of Autumn, the best ship, is now drifting through space with a 30 feet hole in the middle. I’m gaping at the Pillar of Autumn. Wow, that’s supremely powerful! Now, the pillar of Autumn, the best ship, is now drifting off. The thing points at our ship. Light starts to build up. Oh, no.

Encounter in the Violet Nebula

Christina Ye

Day 2 It was a trap. Those are the first words I mustered after we finally managed to escape. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we? The entry on the ship was a normal one. People crowding around, then falling silent as Captain Keys walks up the steps. Sure, it may seem a little dramatic, but for us this occurrence was far too normal to be considered odd. This time, it was a little bit different. When the captain reached the top, he didn’t usher a word to the eager press and local citizens around us. Instead, he beckoned us inside and simply stated, “Goodbye” in a soft but bold voice to the public. Once he came in, a look of concern broke over his face. “Follow me to the control room”, he says, and all of us rush in behind him, knowing that this is something important. Inside, a burst of chatter erupted from our mouths. We all knew this was secret, but the situation we imagined seemed far less menacing than the one ahead of us, given by Keys' actions and stern expression. “Quiet!” he yells, and at that moment you could hear a pin drop. The engineer, Talis, and I exchange a quick glance. Our captain is never like this. Usually he wears a broad, merry smile and lets us bicker all we want. With a calm voice, he says, “ I am aware all of you know I have been acting differently today, because what I am about to tell you could prevent years of war amongst our species. As you know, we have yet to establish a stable relationship between us and the Drakarians.”. A loud groan comes out of our mouths as we hear that name. Before I continue with the days events, let me explain what he means by that. Long ago, the humans were able to create technology which enabled them to detect alien creatures in space. That’s the simple way of putting it, anyway. They discovered

us, the Asari and another alien species, the Turiuns and convinced our governments to collaborate with each other . Since then, our bond has discovered things the smartest of people could not. However, amongst our discovery they also discovered a mysterious species, the Drakarians. The Humans talked to them, but the Drakarians showed no interest in using their talents to help us, and instead were deeply cross with the Humans and threatened to wage a war if they ever came back again. So, in the year 2020, they made an agreement that allowed nobody to cross in between the borders of the Drakarians, and the space in between was called the neutral zone. The neutral zone is a space where no ship should enter- regardless of what the name makes you believe. Any ship that falls in that area will be immediately captured. No action has occurred since the agreement was made, so I wonder what the captain has to tell us. Just then, our ship commander, Garrus Vakarian steps out of the shadows and tells us what is happening. “ This mission will be the most important one in a century. Currently, a Drakarian ship is stuck in the neutral area, sending what seems to be a distress call. Our job is to try and rescue the ship- but there is a catch. A single mistake and we could convey the wrong picture. One Drakarian distress call and a human ship alongside makes the perfect semblance that we are attacking them. But if we succeed, the Drakarians will hopefully thank us for saving their ship and our relationship will become stronger. Careful, we could save- or cost our species a war in which we have no idea what we are facing. When he is finished, no one dares utter a word. The announcement floods over us like a wrecking ball. Messing up could be the end of our lives and so many others. Each of us now carry a particular burden on our shoulders we will never forget. Whether we will live to tell our children this story is something that we all want to know. As we walk back to our dorms, the Asari, Turiun, and Human,

you could feel a million questions surfacing in our brains. Back from the Hallway, our leader called, “Get some rest while we travel. It will be a long way.” Ship rides for us are normally the most exciting part. Playing board games and munching on the treats I prepare is a group tradition. But today, nobody feels like doing that. We all rest in our cabins, trying to fall asleep. And then I am pulled into the strangest of dreams. ***** ( The reason my character was asleep until we reached the cave is because I was disconnected from the zoom call during this time.) 2 hours later, 1pm I dream that my friends and I are being attacked by giant monsters, like Scylla from the Odyssey. All our leaders left us behind, Keys, Vakarian, even Reynolds, the commander of our sister ship. Fighting vigorously, I see a faint claw about to whip us as my nightmare changes, just before I would die. Now, I am about to face my deepest fear, heights. Standing on a meteor in space, hurling straight into the sun, my only choice is to jump. But then, below me, I see the thing I hate the most: space spiders. Those creepy crawlers do nothing but disturb me, they are absolutely disgusting! Realizing that’s where I’ll land when I jump makes the situation even worse. In an attempt to collect myself, I stare up at the stars above me, giving me a sense of relief- and then I jump. “Wake up! Wake up!” Our Security teammate yells at me. You have been asleep for long enough, take a look at what's happening outside! Realizing all my teammates have already left the cabins, I take a look and see the most beautiful combination of stardust. “It’s the violet nebula!”, I exclaim.

“Your team discovered that quite a while ago, Salem”, says Vakarian. “Why didn’t you wake me up then?” “Your friends saw that you were having nightmares. You were sweating, according to them, and kepting on tossing and turning. Come on now, we need you to help us. We believe the Drakarian ship is coming into view. Get dressed in this space suit and meet us in Deck A.” With that, Garrus leaves and I scramble to my feet. I make it to the deck and slowly observe my surroundings. Everybody is staring out at the energy field, awaiting for our mission to really begin. Then, we received a radio call from our sister ship. Miranda Reynolds informs us that the Drakarian ship is within the radar. We head to the launching deck and sit down as we wait to leave. “That,” Vakarian exclaims breathlessly, “is the Drakarian ship. Prepare for launch.”. All of us wear the same expression on our faces: serious, but you can see the tiny bit of excitement twinkling in our eyes. We exit the ship, and walk across to the Drakarian one. “Engineer, do you see any booby traps?”, Keys asks. “ No” he replies, “I think it is safe to go in. Miranda’s ship arrives and joins us, juist on our tails. Two of us bear flashlights, carefully observing the things around us. We enter what is labeled the throne room, but as we walk in, Keys delivers a solemn message. “Kids, Garrus, Miranda and I have been on countless adventures, once in your position. We believe, now, that the next step should be done yourselves. We will be waiting in the back chambers.” Anger rushed through me. They finally let us take this step alone, but on the most important mission of our lives? Flashlights shining, Celina discovers something in one of the corners. A spider-like creature starts to screech, and we all stand on guard. Guilt rises in my chest. Maybe, if I was awake, I could have helped them run through the possibilities of what we would see. But now is no time for regret,

so I pack the feeling inside and stand strong. My dislike of spiders kicks in. Soon they fill the room, bright red, crawling everywhere. All these disgusting creatures are making my stomach hurt. The screeches get louder, and we start to fight. There were just too many for us to handle, especially for me and the other communications, who aren’t very good at fighting. Keys, peering through the window, recognizes that this is a battle we will not win and yells at us to fall back. We board our ships, as security takes control and manages to keep them off. The ship takes off at a roaring speed, thanks to our teammate who was able to convert the energy to the motor. All of a sudden, we are captured by the strange tug, and realize that we are stuck in a tractor beam. Not sure what to do , we hear Captain Keys voice over the radio, saying, “This was all a trap! I repeat! This was all a trap!” Those words float over us, and only truly begin to sink in after a matter of minutes. Keys decides to sacrifice his life, and many of us are crying. I am standing, frozen, not knowing what to do next. Out of the corner of my eye, the Pillar of Autumn, Keys' ship is blasted to pieces. A scream emerges in our cabin as we watch the pieces go off into space. Luckily, the captain was on a different ship, and delivered a memorable “Stay strong” over the radio. We watch as his plan to save us takes action. He intercepts our tractor beam, landing on his ship instead, and our ship finally advances. We watch as Keys disappears from our sight, with stone-cold faces. Now the words really started to sink in. This whole thing was a trap set up by the drakarians. A trap. When we thought it was over, something we never saw emerged from the top of the Drakarian vessel. Now, we are standing ready for the battle of our lives.

Leon Day 2 : Once I got off the shuttle into the main ship I noticed that whatever this was it was very important. Turns out our somewhat enemy the Drakarians sent a distress signal from the no crossing zone between our borders, so our ship and two others' job is to go check it out and get there before the Drakarians do. If we get there in time we might be able to give aid to them and maybe that can help us create a bond and stop a future war from happening. Eventually when we get there it turns out that The distress signal came from inside the violet nebula, meaning once we enter the nebula we won't be able to communicate with anyone outside the nebula. Once we got a while into the nebula we finally spotted the Drakarian ship but it wasn't like anyship, it was round and it looked alive, it wasn't like anything i've seen before.

After our study from a distance our team and the other ships' teams went into our shuttles and flew towards the Drakarian ship. Once we got close it opened up like a worm's mouth with slimy goo dripping off of it. Once we landed safely inside the ship we left our annoying navigator there and left walking towards a tunnel. With myself in front we walked until we saw a faint glowing light ahead then our captain, Jaims Keys took the lead. When we reached the end of the tunnel we entered a big dark room with barely any light. Then the Captains said something I couldn't hear and separated into 3 seperate doors and we were left alone in the room. The first thing I did was look down the hallway we came through to see if we were trapped but it was so long I couldn't even see the end, Then all the sudden someone turned on their flashlight and pointed it around. Then thousands or millions of red eyes appeared and started to make some sort of tapping or clicking noise. Everybody was so scared, even me a bit but the security guards seemed a bit happy wanting a fight, I guessed that the unknown aliens were Drakarians because it was their ship, but I wasn't sure. They just stood there watching us until we heard

gunshots one of the closed doors slammed open with our captain falling out while wrestling one Drakarian. Then he yelled fall back and that's when the really panic started. All of the red eyed Drakarians in the room started to chase us, I ran as fast as I could down the hallway not wanting to get close to those bug like creatures. Then a big door denied us from going back to the ship, our captain ordered me to open the door because I was the nearest engineer, I looked around the door to find several round knobs, I squeezed the biggest one and to my suprise the door opened. Once we got back to the room where we parked the shuttle I saw our stupid navigator vapeing he saw us the called “whats happining” then our captain told him to fly. Everybody rushed into their shuttles and we flew off. As soon as we got in space we swiftly put on speed as we rushed towards the S.S Storm Falcon, but then a mysterious green light was preventing us from going further then i thought “tractor beams”. Us and the other shuttles were stuck in the Drakarians tractor beam and they were slowly pulling us back. One

engineer came up with a brilliant idea and cut the lights off and transferred that energy to the engines and we slowly moved forwards. The S.S Storm Falcon, the Pillar of Autumn and our sister ship realized that we were in danger so they turned on their shields and rapidly moved into attack positions but it was too late. A Drakarian ship popped out of the main one and started to charge up its weapon. The Drakonian ship's weapon blasted through the Pillar of Autumn's shield and melted a huge holw in the ship, everybody was shocked because they didn't know that the Drakarian technology was so advanced. Then captain key’s shuttle radiod us saying stay strong then he drove their shuttle in front of our tractor beam and the third shuttle cutting us free to fly back to our ships. When we got back to the S.S Storm Falcon I rushed to the ships bridge, just before we started to attack I saw captain keys shuttle being sucked into the Drakarian ship.

Oh, no.

Encounter in the Violet Nebula (From Lily’s point of view) Hannah Wu

The Lecture As we all entered the hanger, I looked around in amazement. I had spent most of my days at initiation, but now I finally get to go to space! I wonder what our mission is… I glanced at my crew members. They have all been on our ship, the SS Stormfalcon before. One guy notices me looking at him and winks at me. I’m pretty sure that his name is Gideon, and he’s the pilot. I’m guessing that he’s really self-centered by the look of his badge with the words: ‘#BestPilotEver’. Oh god. We all enter the auditorium and quickly find a seat. I’m next to one of the Asari scientists and our Turian captain. Later on, Captain Keys comes in for his speech. I wonder what our mission will be about? H e starts talking about the Drakarians and our mission, and I start absorbing the words like a sponge with water (I have a photographic memory). Captain Keys presses a button, making a screen behind him light up. On the screen, there’s a whole image of the universe and galaxies. Eventually, once he’s done his lecture and dismisses us, I start making a list of the things to pack. Let’s see… notebook, pencils, camera, my allergy medicine, books, clothes… what else? As I’m making a list inside my head, I realize that everyone is starting to leave, including my crew… Wait what? I’m going to be late!

On the Flight We’ve been on the ship for about one or two days heading toward the Neutral Zone. In the background, I hear the scientists debating about something and see Captain Vakarian nervously pacing back and forward. I sigh. I know! I’ll go take some pictures near the window! We continue speeding through the remains of the nebula. ‘Sigh.’ I wonder if I can raid the kitchen... I hear that they have good cookies… wait a minute, what’s that? As I stared out the window, I see a strange round white ship. “Captain Vakarian! There’s a strange thing down there!” Finding the Drakarian Ship. We hover nearby the strange ship. This thing is creepy. It looks like a giant cocoon made of spider silk. Captain Vakarian calls over that our entire crew is going in there with Captain Keys and the captain of our sister ship. Oh God. What should I bring… I grab my notebook and a pencil. We all enter the shuttles. A dark hole peels open. “Who’s going in first?” Captain Keys asks? Somebody volunteers. “I guess I’ll go second.” I say. W help, I’m going to die on this Inside the Drakarian Ship. I am terrified. It’s not only dark in here, but there’s goop dripping off the ceiling and walls. The scientists are whispering again and I stare at the flickering lights. W hy are they spaced so far apart? It doesn’t help that I’m nyctophobic, but did they have to- WHOA! I trip on a piece of goop and fall forward, landing on a sticky wall. “EW!” I scream. Another hole peels open. Great. Just great. I grab a handkerchief from my pocket and wipe off the slime. Captain Keys points out that there are 3 doors in the room. “One for each of us.” he says. Wait a minute… What in the universe is that? “Captain, there’s something over there. I think it’s a throne of some sort!” The captains continue their murmuring and I take a peek around the room.

There’s barely any light. The captains come to an agreement and tell us that they will be entering the rooms. O h geez. B ut before I can put in a word, they enter the strange holes, which peeled closed behind them. Stuck in a Room Is it possible to be bored and terrified at the same time? Our entire crew is stuck in a dark, sticky room. To ease my worries, I start chatting with some other people. D o I sound crazy? I probably sound like I drank 1000 cups of coffee. I start ripping pages from my (empty) notebook. Someone had brought a flashlight, and thought it was a good idea to search the room. Personally, I also thought it was a good idea, until that guy decided to flash it in the dark corners of the room. Nothing happened for a few seconds, but soon enough, hundreds of tiny red dots appeared in the dark. It seemed like the dots were everywhere, lighting up the room. Now, I know that I said I’m nyctophobic, but these creepy little red lights freaked me out. O H MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD! And within seconds, I passed out. When I Awaken (Back Onboard) When I finally woke up, I felt refreshed and calm. And then of course, since I can’t get a moment of peace, I found myself on the SS Stormfalcon, which was currently stuck in a tractorbeam. “Oh come on!” I shouted. Everyone started running upstairs, and I was about to join them when I saw Gideon in the corner of my eye. He was rocking back and forth, sucking his thumb. “Ah Gideon!” I shouted. “GET A GRIP!” I ran up to him, slapped him, snapping him out of his daze, and joined everyone else. We all stared out the windows as the Pillar of Autumn was destroyed. No! Suddenly, the ship started shaking, and rocking side to side, as it attempted to escape the tractorbeam. I felt sick to my stomach. O h fudge, I have motion sickness. I felt like I was going to puke. I ran to a window to calm my nerves and I saw a strange super weapon on top of the Drakarian ship. Is that why we’re

stuck in this tractorbeam? S uddenly, the weapon shoots another beam, grabbing the other two ships. “Okay, stop running! Let’s fight!” Captain Vakarius shouts. We all return to the bridge to get ready to fight the Drakarian ship and the super weapon. O h geez. I’ve never handled a weapon! How am I even supposed to fight?! But, as we all prepare to fight, the cocoon and super weapon starts glowing threateningly. Whelp. I’m done for.

Day 2

Encounter of the Violet Nebula Felicity Lu

Finally the day has come. It's time to go on my first ever mission in space. I'm SO nervous that I barely hear a word that Captain James Key says when we arrive at Central Command about this secret mission. But from what I do hear, the Drakarians are on a dangerous ship and we need to save and befriend them. As we travel in the SS Storm Falcon, some of my stress gets overlapped with annoyance as I remember how much I HATE the way our pilot(Gideon) speaks. But when we arrive at the Violet Nebula all my annoyance is instantly flushed away with determination and of course, some fear. The Violet Nebula looks like a giant cocoon! When we all walk in the Violet Nebula I start to get the shivers and the hair on the back of my neck is sticking straight up because the interior of the ship reminds me of the texture of a beehive and I absolutely detest bugs. I take a deep breath and continue walking along with the group. We all stop in front of a large dark tunnel and one of our crew members decides to shine a flashlight at the ceiling. Well, apparently that was a bad idea because suddenly noises come from the ceiling and then out of nowhere, giant red and black coloured scorpion looking things come from the ceiling! I start to panic and I’m so scared that I freeze in place but just as my head starts hurting and my vision gets kind of blurry I see that the crew member in front me has passed out.

Everyone is now running and fighting the scorpion creatures and I decide to follow the person in front of me in hopes that they know where they are going. My head is now so dizzy that I fall to the ground but quickly get up again. I dash into the shuttle back to our ship as fast as I can and close my eyes for a few seconds. When I open my eyes again, there is a tractor beam on our ship and suddenly realise that this may have been a trap.

Hosun Li

We got off the ship and went to a stage where the captain or captain keys gives his missions . He told us that we received a distress call form a drakarian ship on our side because space is divided in 2 where we have â…“ they have â…“ but the middle is space no one occupies and if you cross it you can get shot down. The call came from a nebula and so we went on the storm falcon and with us the pillar of autumn and also the Karma. The pillar of autumn is the capital ship and very important complete with a force field. We got to the nebula and went inside on a smaller ship.we went on the drakarian ship and we went further in and found a room like the command room.We heard shots and captain keys got attacked. We got back to the ship and captain keys was captured. They shot the pillar of autumn and the shot ignored the forcefield and brought it down.

Encounter in the Violet Nebula Cindy Hu

Just before dawn, the whole crew of the SS Storm Falcon was

called to Central Command for a brief summary of our latest mission. We were all rather nervous when Captain James Keys said it was secret, we usually did publicated missions and there were special teams for secret missions. It felt important when he said it would put us in good terms with the Drakarians. Later that day we left. When we landed, I decided to bring a flashlight on the mission. As we got off the ship, I figured out that something in there was blocking the signals and the Drakarians were only able to send a message because they used a different type of communication. We also saw a spaceship that was nearly destroyed. Then the engineers went inside the dark spaceship. As they entered they thought they heard a faint signal saying “Help... us... please..”. When they got out of the spaceship, they told us about it. Then Captain Keys led us into the dark cave. The cave had a very slimy and gooey substance covering it. As we saw the walls the engineers said it felt alive and fresh. We entered a big space that had a throne in the middle. The captain went to explore in the other direction. I tried to put some of the gooey stuff in a container to analyze later but the substance burned a hole in the bottom. Just then we looked up and saw Captain Keys wrestling some kind of weird creature. We also saw tons of red bugs. The creatures looked like spiders which I was pretty much terrified of. Hannah fainted and someone ran towards her to

pick her up. Then we were told to run by Captain Keys. By then it seemed as if the whole mission were a trap. We tried to get to our ships, which had just begun to realize that something was wrong, then a beam hit the Pillar of Autumn’s defensive shield and blasted a hole through the ships. I was shocked as one of the most powerful ships began to slowly drift in space. We ran towards our ship and our driver Garrus Vakarian.

Encounter in the Violet Nebula Daisy Chen

In the morning, at 6:00 a.m., the SS Storm Falcon was called right into the secret base, Central Command, to start our mission. I was nervous but excited at the same time!! Captain (James) Keys told us that we need to learn a thing or two about space before we start the mission. It was a surprise that he said it was supposed to be secret, which is very unusual because the SS Storm Falcon usually doesn't do secret missions. So we listened to the information and then took off. As we landed, something was blocking the spaceship’s signal. We went to where it was blocked and discovered a spacecraft that was nearly destroyed. We decided to investigate it. The other engineer, Leon and I went to examine it. There were something like a cocoon on top of it. We managed to find a weak signal that said, “ Help… us… please...” The message was repeating over and over again. We found a cave beside the ship. The cave was all slimy and covered in a gooey substance. We decided to bring flashlights and other stuff and go inside. Inside the cave, the walls were built with a mysterious material. Leon and I tried to figure it out. It was fresh… kind of like it was made out of living creatures!! My sister Amelia attempted to put some of the weird substances inside a bottle, but the element just burned a hole on the bottom of the bottle and fell onto the floor. We went deeper into the cave. We went inside a room that has a throne in the middle of the room. “This kinda looks like an appreciation room,” Captain Keys said, “I’m gonna go in the other direction.” Just then, we saw Captain Keys, but it looks like he was trying to wrestle something. It seems like a big red bu- YIKES I’m terrified of bugs. “Calm down,” I told myself. I started breathing slowly and forced myself to look at the battle. Captain Keys yelled, “GET DOWN!!!” I was flummoxed. Suddenly, Hannah fainted… Captain Keys ran towards us and carried Hannah. More red bugs (SO SCARY!!) started to fill the room.

“RUN!!” Captain Keys yelled. Just then, the door closed. Leon tried to look for a button but didn’t find one, but he found this weird thing and squeezed it, the door opened! We ran outside and saw our driver Garrus was leaning on the ship, vaping. “TAKE OFF” Captain Keys yelled. “W-what?” Garrus said. Suddenly, a weird string grabed his vaper and take it back inside the cave.Garrus quickly drove off. “We have to warn the other ships” I said. Just then, the cacoon hatched . A solor beam thing came out of it. IT WAS A TRAP THE WHOLE TIME!! It shot the other ships, their ship was going to be destroyed. Just then, the solar beam pointed at our ship… TO BE COUNTINUE...

Encounter in the Violet Nebula Anneaka Zhou When I first came to the Central Command, I was super excited and I had my bag with supplies which I sneakily brought a video game console with me. Luckily no one noticed it so I was able to bring it on the ship. I had also brought some snacks just in case any of my friends or myself got hungry. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to but I always need my entertainment. When I found out our ship's leader was a Turian, I wasn’t too happy about that. Luckily, Captain Keys is a human. I’m used to humans more because I play Minecraft, Roblox and games where you are a human. I don’t really like the looks of giant hairy creatures or species. Garrus Vakarian might be useful for shielding or blocking us humans which are not that tall compared to the Asari, Turians and whatever we’re going to encounter. I almost wanted to switch to engineering because I like building stuff but then I figured that if I did science which is what I used to do, I would spend less time trying to figure stuff out and when I’m done, I could just sneakily play video games and eat snacks. Entering the Violet Nebula was super strange as I’ve never traveled to space before and before we got in it, it looked very cool. I wasn’t a scientist who studied space or nature or anything like that. I learned how to code and I worked with engineers and expert coders to make more modern things and things for lazy people. I never knew we were going out in space, I did know a little bit about aliens but not a lot. There was nothing really in the Violet Nebula but it was overall cool to go inside a supernova. Nothing else much but I was writing down all the stuff that happened.

When I saw the Drakarian ship, it looked like some sort of space cocoon or something. I had no idea it was a Jacarian ship and all I knew about Jacarians is that they are aliens. I knew that the Drakarian ship wasn’t a good sign but I still wanted to explore it to learn more. I was using a note taker in my console to write down all the notes and the substance that the Drakarian ship was made of looked like drywall but I didn’t know until I touched it. It felt like drywall but it also didn’t feel like drywall so I knew it had to be some kind of alien substance. The looks of it already made me disgusted. Going in the Drakarian ship was a horrible horrible experience. The walls were all gooey and gross. That’s when I realised that I forgot a flashlight. There were dark spots that I couldn’t explore but I didn’t want to explore them either. After trying to get a sample of the goo, it exploded. I took notes on that. “No taking samples of goo.” The captain didn’t let me go in the dark area because I forgot my flashlight. Luckily he didn’t because those red spots really would’ve made my skin crawl because I have trypophobia. It was pretty gross actually. I couldn’t lean on the walls and all I could do was stand up. Being a lazy person myself but still being active sometimes (only if I eat enough sugar.) I get hyper when I eat a lot of sweets but sometimes I just randomly start getting hyper and jump around everywhere. I didn’t really mind that we were left in the throne room because I dislike fighting and I didn’t want to find out about what was back there. When Captain Keys told us to fall back to the ships, I just listened and went back.

The retreat through the alien hallways was one of the worst moments in my life. Everyone was just hurrying back and since the alien hallways are very narrow, it was so crowded. Did they not know I am claustrophobic? It wasn’t very nice being squished in a narrow hallway. Everyone was bumping into each other and it really was a mess. I fell over 2 times I think. Luckily, I brought extra clothes so I didn’t have to wear sticky goo clothes. Going back to our ship wasn’t a pleasant experience, it would have been super relieving but the tractor beam was making it shaky and slow. Luckily Daisy’s way of making the ship go faster worked or else we would be stuck and everyone would be freaking out. When the Pillar of Autumn got destroyed, I wasn’t freaking out on the outside but on the inside, I knew that we only had three big ships and it’s only the first day and a ship was already destroyed. It was bad. Captain Keys’ sacrifice was pretty scary, I was hoping that he would live but he is only a human but I didn’t waste time trying to calculate the chances of him dying but I still ran with the rest of the crew. After that incident, I knew that I should have done more and helped the crew more. But kept on telling myself that it was because I forgot the flashlight and I’m not very tough either. My friends tell me that I’m always trying to get out of trouble. When we were preparing to fight the Drakarian ship, my heart was beating from 76 bpm (before we started preparing) to 149 bpm. Everyone was going insane and running around trying to set up missiles and bullets and whatever weapons we had. During the time of setting up, I ate 3 chocolate bars, a pack of gummy bears, a scoop of chocolate ice cream from the crew’s mini-freezer and a pack of

smarties. I wanted to eat Reese's pieces but I wasn’t sure if anyone was allergic to peanuts or not.

CHAPTER THREE Battle with the Cocoon

The Battle

Christina Ye

Is it weird to say I enjoyed this fight? I mean, besides watching the Pillar of Autumn ram into a giant spaceship it was ok. The battle commenced after we shot at the massive Drakarian ship. Everywhere around us, ships both big and small were circling around it. A couple smaller UFO looking ships were protecting the Drakarians, while all the ships on our side were arranged in a U shape. Beside us, the Pillar of Autumn was still, and you could slowly see their ship’s debris float off into space. The SS Storm Falcon began firing at the Drakarian ships guns, hoping to do some damage, but nothing happened at all besides a few metal pings. Our bullets rebounded off their ship like literal Nerf bullets, not a dent to be seen. All of a sudden, the Drakarian ship’s engine started up and they advanced forwards. Not too much, but enough that we have to move a lot closer to do any damage. A red laser beam projected at the top of the ship, aimed straight at us, so our only defense was to turn right. So far we’ve only almost died once, which is great! Relax, I’m only being sarcastic. This isn’t the first time we nearly died, so I’m not too surprised. Here’s when the action really starts. Out of the corner of my eye, I see the Drakarian UFO’s shooting at us, and our stupid pilot, Gideon, failed his own job. We were supposed to turn to face them, but instead Gideon stood there and did absolutely nothing. Anyway, one of the shots managed to scrape the side lightly, making a gentle scratch mark on the side of our ship. And guess what Gideon did? He just said, “ oh well” and continued

vaping. Like, seriously? After a brief vote, we decided to repair the ship before moving on. Our engineers diligently fixed the ship within ten minutes. Even considering they are the top ten in the world, it was still a record-setting time. Our engineer discovered that we do more damage if we are closer, so we approached the mini-ships and started shooting. Finally, the ship exploded and we carried on our real goal: destroy the Drakarian ship. While we were gearing up for our next move, an array of questions flooded through mw. What happens if they destroy us, or we destroy them? Will the tensions between our species be higher than ever? Thinking about the outcome, I informed the team that I wanted to turn left. Just before we did that, we saw the escape pods leave the Pillar of Autumn. Relief entered my body as I found out that they were still alive. In a final attempt to use the ship for good, they put the ship on auto-pilot, and it started to hurl straight at the Drakarian ship. Realizing the other UFO was shooting our sister ship, Karma, we advanced closer hoping to take it down. Another pod erupted from the Drakarians and started shooting at us. Startled, we had to fix the ship in order to maintain stability. We decided to fire at the pod and destroyed it, and with perfect timing Karma finished off the UFO attacking them. Seeing that we were close enough to fire at the main ship. We fired, with not a single person uttering a word. This mission sounded awfully dangerous at first, but now the thrill of being back kicked in. Adrenaline rushed through our veins, more determined than ever to destroy the Drakarians. But one person didn’t seem to get the message: Gideon. At this point, I would be better off flying the

ship than him. Lord, now he’s sleeping on the job! The Pillar of Autumn was just minutes away from crashing into the main ship. “BOOM”! The two ships crashed, creating a mushroom shaped explosion in the air. Miraculously , a giant hole appeared at the front of the ship. Knowing this will be the end of the Pillar of Autumn, their final move was something we will never forget. We fired some more, and the ship was finished. A sigh of relief rushed through Vakarians mouth. Or at least it was like that for a split second. He refused to leave. “Keys is on that ship! We have to go rescue them!” Knowing that Captain Keys’ final wish was for it to continue. I found a closet and packed our commander inside. At that moment, a loud boom could be heard all across the galaxy, as the main ship tried to fire at the Pillar of Autumn one last time. This is a moment that will never be forgotten, for Captain James Keys and all of the lives lost on both ships, ours and the Drakarians. After this event was done, we sent Gideon along with a note to our sister ship, mainly telling them how they stink. Now we need a new pilot. I shall volunteer! PS- Shucks. We got a letter from them. They are sending Gideon back!

Leon Jin

Battle time:

The battle began with us just shooting at the enormous Drakarian ship but that didn't do much at all. Then I looked at the floating lifeless object that was once the Pillar of Automme and thought “If that's what one shot does then we must be more careful and use the time we have now wisely” then I looked at the Drakarian ship’s big gun and wondered if there was a was to disable it or to shut it down. Then I told everyone to try and shoot the gun but, right when we started to aim at the Drakarian ship’s gun it started to charge up again and we had to sharply move right to avoid that majic death beam from ending our precious lives. We really had to be careful. Suddenly the ship opened up and two mini Drakarian ships flew out shooting at us, we tried to move to face them but we couldn't. Turns out we got hit by the big gun but it only shaved the edge of the side. I quickly ran to fix this mess stupid Gideon put us in, I thought “why is Gideon so bad at flying and he's a vaper WHY???”. When i was done fixing the ship we started shooting at

the mini ships shooting at us , then I felt a burst of energy go through the walls of the S.S Storm Falcon as we dangerously approached the mini Drakarian ship we shot at it and it blew up. I was terribly confused for a second because we shot at it many times from afar but then I realized that our shots do more damage close up than far away. I was so concentrated on the battle that I didn't notice the escape pods shoot out of the splintered Pillar of Autumn finally when I saw them I shouted loudly at everybody to look at them. They all looked surprised that there were survivors, then the Pillar of Autumn lurched forwards at the Giant cocoon like Drakarian ship with determination. Then we turned left to aim at the mini Drakarian ship shooting at our sister ship, as we shot at it I realized we were too far away to do any real damage. Suddenly the Drakarian cocoon ship opened up again and another mini Drakarian ship came out and started to shoot at

us but it wasn't moving towards us. We quickly repaired the damage done to us and turned towards the new mini Drakarian ship and shot at it. Just as we laid our first shots on the new ship our sister ship finished off the mini ship on them. We were focused on the ship shooting at us, our sister ship on the other hand wasn’t really doing much, so we tried to radio them to shoot at the main Dakarian ship. I held my breath as we radiod them hoping we were within range to radio them, but luckily we were and we ordered them to shoot at the main Drakarian ship. Just as we finished off the mini Drakarian ship the slowly moving Pillar of Autumn came very close to the main Drakarian ship, it was only a handful of seconds till it crashed into the ship. Once it crashed into the ship you could tell the ship was heavily damaged with its hul almost collapsing on the Pillar of Autumn just a couple more shots then were good and the Giant Drakarian ship was finished. But then I thought about the damage caused today and how it

would carry on throughout the Galaxy with war and death on its way. Just thinking about how many lives were lost on this day and how many families were affected by this battle. Knowing we just started a war I started to think about what we did wrong “ like maybe Gideon, maybe they just really hated him so they attacked us ” but i couldn't figure anything out. We wrote a message to our sister ship about what happened today but mainly a lot of garbage and Gideon attached to it. Skrwew you gIDeoN

Battle with the Cocoon Hannah Wu

The Start of the Battle As the fight began, I felt sick to my stomach. I may enjoy self-defence, but I absolutely HATE weapons. Plus, the communicators aren’t required for the battle… I started thinking to myself about why the alien ship was so powerful when something even worse happened. Gideon came up to me. NO. NO. NOOOOOOO! “Aren’t you supposed to be flying the ship?” I asked. “Nope! I’m getting Brutus to take over my job for now!” “But aren’t YOU the pilot?” “Well I can’t risk losing this amazingness!” he said as he gestured at himself. I face-palmed. “Oh god.” As soon as Gideon left, I grabbed a notebook from my bag, when suddenly the ship got hit and the ship swayed the side. I felt like I was going to puke. Oh my goodness. I clamped a hand over my mouth. When the ship finally stopped swaying, I sat down to calm my nauseousness. Ugh. I need to get motion-sickness pills. I stared out the window just as a few miniature ships burst out. “Um, Captain? We have an issue.” I said, pointing out of the window. I heard Captain Vakarian swear under his breath. He marched off to tell the engineers to fix the ship. After two more hits to the ship, I passed out once again. By the time I woke up, the captain had gone to help the engineers. I decided to join everyone else, who were arguing about what we should do. I saw Gideon in the corner of the ship, sucking his thumb. “Guys!” I shouted. “We need to fire. I may not be very good at math, but I can see that we can hit that mini-ship over there. We’re really close to it, so the chance that it’ll explode is likely.” Someone slammed the Fire button. My prediction was correct! O h wow. I was actually right! But my pride faded away as soon as I saw the Drakarian super weapon charge up. Oh great. The Final Maneuver of the Pillar of Autumn

As the Pillar of Autumn crashed into the front of the Drakarian ship, everyone started shouting to fire a missile. Captain Vakarian came forward and started typing. We all started cheering. But the missile never came. Protests burst through the crowd. “Everyone! Captain Keys is still on that ship!” Silence fell over us. The ship slowly turned around and we headed away from the Drakarian ship. The Karma and the escape pods from the Pillar of Autumn all followed. Now what do we do? The scientists started murmuring to each about something called a hyperdrive. I might as well get started on the letter to the Karma. I asked the crew members what they wanted to put in the message. I started thinking about how to send the message when I was done. And then I saw Gideon. Perfect! I asked Gideon for a favour and he said “Sure.” I taped the note to Gideon’s chest and pushed him out the door.

Day 3

Battle with the Cocoon Felicity Lu

When my headache finally starts to disappear, my crew members and I get ready to fight the cocoon. Just as we decide to turn left and fire at the Violet Nebula, 2 smaller ships come out of it so we decide to attack one of the small ships instead. After a lot of effort and teamwork we finally managed to destroy a small ship and the SS Storm Falcon is still in pretty good shape but then another small ship comes flying out of the cocoon. As we proceed to try and destroy the new small ship, one of our crew members comes up with a great idea to send a message to our sister ship to ask them to fire at an alien ship because they are facing straight at it. Since the small alien ship now looks very damaged after being attacked by our sister ship, we fire at it one more time and it gets destroyed! So we then start to destroy the last small while our sister ship attempts to destroy the cocoon. We quickly destroy the small alien ship and move on to the cocoon. As we are doing this, suddenly the Pillar of Autumn zooms forward and crashes into the Violet Nebula. We are then informed that the Pillar of Autumn was on autopilot which makes a lot more sense. Our crew is doing pretty well damaging the Violet Nebula until we figure out the hard way that because we didn’t move forwards or backwards before the cocoon attacked us, our ship took more damage. But on the bright side, it doesn’t seem to be too hard to damage the cocoon because it looks like it's already in pretty bad shape but right before we fire at the cocoon, our ship turns in the other direction and Garrus Vakarian comes on the radio. He says that we should not destroy the Violet Nebula yet because there

might be a chance that some of our crew members are still on it. He also says that there was a slip drive on the Pillar of Autumn but of course it's destroyed now. But… the scientists(including me) realise that we can rebuild a slip drive with the right parts. I guess that's our next mission...

Cindy Hu

   Battle with the Cocoon

The battle started around the time we saw Captain James Keys wrestling with an unknown creature. Then the next thing I knew we were told to run. So we ran, Hannah had fainted so the Captain had to carry her since she is afraid of the dark. We all ran to the exit of the cave. By then the whole “rescue” mission began to look like a trap set by the Drakarains. But what would they possibly want with us? Well, either way we didn't wait to find out. We ran to the exit as many more weird, multiple legged creatures came to capture us. We all headed for our separate ships. I headed towards the SS Storm Falcon. I can hardly remember how I got there because the weapon that hit the Pillar of Autumn really stole the spotlight. I had just calmed down from the shock when the weapon sent something towards the Pillar of Autumn. It went right through the defense and literally destroyed the ship. We tried to fire at the other ships. We also saw escape pods coming from the side of the Pillar of Autumn.

The Attack Of The Drakarian Daisy Chen

The cocoon laser was pointing right at us! We only had minutes to decide what to do. We quickly turned right and the Drakarian (cocoon laser) missed. Looks like we started World War 3. Since I’m an engineer, I looked and studied the Drakarian. It looked very dangerous. It seems that if we get blasted 10 times, our ship will be very damaged and the SS Storm Falcon crew will have to escape in the escape pods. Everytime it fires, it feels like a sudden vibration. Suddenly, 2 alien ships came out of the Drakarian. Looks like now, we have to defeat those 2 ships and the Drakarian. The war has started, the Pillar Of Autumn seems defenses, I don’t even know if the people in that ship have survived. The Drakarian started to fire again. It hit our ship and the ship needs to be fixed. Our communicator, Hannah, sended a message to Karma, the other ship that is still available. Suddenly, the alien ships started to fire at us! We fired back and the 1st alien ship has been damaged a lot and cannot attack anymore but another tinier ship came out of the Drakarian. We saw escape pods out of the Pillar Of Autumn!! They survived!! Our ships started to fire at the alien ships and the alien ships. The 2 other alien ships have been defeated! Then a miracle happened, the Pillar Of Autumn started driving and shooting at the Drakarian! The Pillar Of Autumn crashed into the Drakarian. I wasn’t worried because I can tell that it was auto piloting but the other crew members were so worried. I told them it was auto piloting. The Drakarian was defeated, I’m so happy. We decided to send an (not exactly) information letter to Karma. We send Gideon to deliver the letter (since he sucks).

Battle with the Cocoon Anneaka Zhou

When the fight began, I was nervous because I didn’t know how well we would cooperate because there were new members and stuff. The first few hits were okay but I didn’t know how the other ones would be like. The super weapon was really weird. It was this huge laser thing and it smelled like a whole town burnt down or something. The ship got really shaky and I nearly fell over because my balance isn’t too good. I was still suspicious about how Brutus already got a black eye. I didn’t bother to ask him because I am not very good at communicating with people. I can figure out things about nature, space and everything I can see, but, if someone is hiding a secret, I can’t get it from them. The blast from the laser was so loud I think I would have been dead by now or at least deaf. Luckily, I plugged my ears just in time. While combating, the scientists aka me, Cindy, Celina and Felicity were not very lucky, we failed a lot but at the end, we got super lucky and were able to figure some stuff out. The Drakarian spacecraft was sending out mini-ships that looked like big UFOs. We shot them pretty well but since we got too close, we got critical hits on them but we also lost 3 hearts of damage for being too close. We went from full health to 7HP. We also only have 2 engineers too. Every time they attacked our ship, I got nausea and I couldn’t see clearly. It was really horrible. I didn’t barf which was really really good or else that would have been another problem. And the part where we missed the Drakarian spacecraft and hit the Pillar of Autumn

was very embarrassing too. It was already damaged and now it collided with the Drakarian spacecraft. The good news is, that a big chunk of the front part of the Drakarian spacecraft was ripped off so it will be easier to aim at the aliens. The really really bad news was, the Pillar of Autumn was now destroyed and they sent out the escape pods. I didn’t know if anyone was still in the Pillar of Autumn but I doubt there was. Some of the crew members didn’t agree with me and they think that Captain Keys might still be in there. I blame ALL of the misses we had on GIDEON. First of all, Gideon is the WORST at piloting. I don’t know how he even got hired in the first place. He turned it on autopilot for a period of time and he was sitting in a corner sucking his thumb. He is legit older than me. He cares so much about himself, he didn’t even care that he was making us aim our bullets accidentally into the Pillar of Autumn. It was too shaky and it is Gideon’s fault we missed so badly 2 or more times. Gideon was no help at all. AND he was our only pilot. We really need more security and navigators. After the battle, us and the Karma ship retreated but I didn’t know why. I was thinking of continuing to fight but I guess we should take a break after that not so good fight. Main reason why it was so bad, Gideon is bad at steering and we hit the Pillar of Autumn. We sent a note to the Karma ship. We had some useful information on it but the rest was just garbage because they saw us fight. But most importantly, we

attached Gideon to the note and told them not to send him back. Hopefully they don’t… Now we have an even bigger problem because we have no more navigators, yay… No actually that is really really bad. Hopefully we can find a pilot who KNOWS what they’re doing or else we might have to take Gideon back which isn’t a great idea. I was kind of hoping that Gideon would just drift away in space but I guess that might be a bit too cruel.

Battle with the Cocoon The laser beam was building up light. Oh, no. Our ship moves forward a bit. The laser beam only skimmed the top. We then repaired the ship. Wow, good thing the laser didn’t slice a hole through our ship like the Pillar of Autumn. Wow, that laser beam is really powerful. Engineers, please do me a favor and create one of those… We fired at the Drakarian ship. It looked like it only damaged it a bit. The doors on the side of the ship opened up and 2 smaller ships came out. We fired at one of them.

CHAPTER FOUR Fool's End

Fool’s End Christina Ye After the battle ended, we headed off into the deep blackness of space, hoping to find somewhere to stay. Miraculously, we pick something up within 200 metres and decide to take a look. We land on what seems to be an black asteroid, making a mini crater in the land because of Gideon. Beside us, Karma makes a near perfect landing. “Great work, Gideon.” I mutter. We really need to get a better pilot. Just as we exit the ship , Hannah and I hear something come out of our battered radio, even though we hadn’t been able to get it to work for ages. A muffled voice complains, “I’m going, I’m going… I said I’M GOING! Leave me alone and send help.” Hannah and I, confused as ever, wonder what in the world could happen next. Another sound comes out, this time, “Greetings and Salutations , I am Algar the Great, King of this land!”, the voice over the radio exclaims. “Um,Okay?” says Hannah, about to burst out laughing. We exchange a quick conversation about where we “Hail from”, according to Algar, until he receives a call. “Excuse me.” he says, and begins to spit out all kinds of bizarre stuff about us. “... I’ve never seen anything like them... For god’s sake, no! They aren’t evil enemies from outer space! At least I don’t think so…” I ask Hannah, “Did he just call us evil enemies from outer space?” “Yup. This dude is wack.” He hangs up, and asks us why we are here. We tell him we need a place to rest and pick up some parts for our ship. “So you are

crazy, I presume?” Algar questions. “Excuse me? You’re the one who’s crazy!” “Maybe I am. Would you like to come to my secret hideout? It’s amazing, you'll love it! Our curious crew follows him around the building. Unlike earth, we are able to feel the planet’s round shape while walking. Algar seems to be a dwarf Turian, very few of which exist. One of our scientists observes that he used to be rich, his fur coming in patches, also weilding a disgusting smell. We arrive to see a 1 story building about the size of a grocery store. The front entrance has a glowing sign that says “Fool’s End” in neon red letters. Algar leads us into a dimly lit room with dozens of tables sprawled out in an unorganized way. I look over and see Gideon making his way over to the dance floor, and point him out to everybody else. What a dork. All types of creatures sit in the tables, Asari, Turian, but no human. Behind us, we hear a familiar screeching noise, identical to the one we encountered on the Drakarian ship. We look around- and see a Drakarian. Six-legged, long, hairy, and tentacles are the embodiment of this creature. He smokes a large tube, twice the size of Gideon’s vape. The Drakarian tosses it aside and slithers up to us, then delivers a message by implanting it in our brains : “Oooh, fresh meat… It has been so long…” and leaves us alone. We slowly realize that “Fool’s End” is a social club, and glance at our surroundings. The band is playing horrible music, and then we find Gideon jamming out to the song. Garrus calls us in, and then we all know that this is not what we were expecting. A secret hideout is usually a place

that only you are able to access, but instead we were brought to s social club. We decide to compile a list of tasks we have to do. First, we have to get the materials to make the slip drive. We decided to rescue Keys as soon as that was sorted out. THe topic of the death lazer comes into our conversation. We know we need a way to defend ourselves from it, but have no idea how. All of a sudden, somebody claps Garrus’ shoulder. “ Garrus! It’s me, Roman! Your cousin, remember! says the Turian. “Uhh, yeah… I totally remember you.” Garrus replies with a shaky voice. Roman answers, “I couldn’t help overhearing that you needed some supplies. Feel free to come to me, just like old times.” Garrus turns to Leon and Daisy and asks to write down all the materials we need. Garrus hands it to roman, and watches nervously as he studies the list. “I’m aware of all these things, but you’ll need cheebo. It’s the currency we use here. My best man for that is Gleebo, the dude over there,”Seriously? That's the Drakarian who gave us a death threat. We are off to a great start, totally. Garrus heads over and talks to Gleebo, who is acting like a complete jerk. He concludes that we need to make money, and are presented with a few different jobs. Three of us chose to be chefs, 2 decided to gamble with a shady man, 1 wanted to sing for the crowd, and another decided to ask nicely. We all start our jobs, which was by far my favourite part of the day. Me and Leon are gambling! We are underage, but on an Asteroid that doesn’t really matter. Before we start, the chefs are taken to the back kitchen. It better go well, cause we need that Cheebo! When we set down to play, I realize that I LOST ALL MY CHEEBO! The man

asks me some questions, and we begin to play. Leon looks at me with a death stare. I immediately know he's mad that I lost my cheebo. Avoiding his glance, I look around and see Annie did well with her singing, earning 1000 dollars. Luckily, he succeeds and beats the shady man, earning double his own, which means that my cheebo was technically re-earned. With a sigh of relief, I guess I should explain what we learned during poker. My communication skills earned us a new friend, so he spat out some stuff pretty quickly. He's a human by the way, the only one in the club. He tells me that he was a former pilot for the federation, and seemed to be pretty good, by the way he spoke. He would be much better that Gideon, who is currently drunk and is partying with an Asari woman. Our biggest bet fell onto Hosun, the pressure rising as he prepared to fight in the pit. Hannah manages to make a deal with the Asari, so if Hosun wins, we will get 10% of their bet, which is quite large. We bet half our money on him- so this better end well. Tensions were so high, everything relied on this fight. If he loses, we won’t have enough money to buy our parts. But if he wins, we will, and be left with some extra. The first round was a complete knockout, the large Asari left unconscious on the floor. The second was by far the roughest. Round 2. This round was definitely a close call for us. A couple of jabs back and forth had both contestants damaged. Unfairly, Hosun's opponent had metal studs on his knuckles, giving him a clear advantage. Finally, the creature is on the ground, still. Another victory! Our scientists heal Hosun to prepare us for the next battle, while the engineers try to come up

with some sort of armour. They walk up to us with nervous faces, as they only manage to grab a couple of forks to serve as claws. Roman informs us we need 15000 for the slip drive and the counterpart against the lazer, but we still don’t have enough. Playing safe, we bet half on Hosun again. He enters the punch pit, as a grinning turian, known as “The Champ” eagerly awaits. The ref calls “3… 2… 1, go!” and the fight begins. If we lose this, we will only have enough for the drive and not the counterpart, which at this point seems in possible to leave out. The Champ punches, and Hosun dodges, the punches at him. Yes! The turian then surprisingly dives under hosun and punches from behind. Hosun quickly regains his strength and jabs his stomach. Wobbling, I think we got this one in the bag. A final punch and we won! Two asari drag the turian out of the pit, as he looks ready to pounce any moment. We made 13 500, and plus the 10% bargain hannah got us, 43 500 in total! Sneakily, Gideon approaches our table and snags 2000 cheebo! Hannah walks up to him with an angry look and smacks him in the face. “OuCh!” says Gideon in a drunken voice. Algar heads off to get us the supplies, leaving us with 16000 cheebo. We decided to get extra parts for the ship in case it malfunctioned again, so that’s why we don’t have a lot left. As we get up to leave, we see a waitress get zapped by an asari. He seems to have a glowing green coat-ish object encircling him. Our scientists realize it's some sort of personal protection gear. As we are talking, we hear the shady man yell, “Run, go, go!” and we dash towards the exit before knowing why.

(please note that by now my caractere really hates gideon) Fool’s end time: We were flying away from the battle we were just in and with us was the Karma (our sister ship) and the life pods from the splintered Pillar of Autumn. It was all fine until we got something huge on our radar, something we couldn't see. Turnes out it was just a meteor and we crash landed on it thanks too stupid Gideon, once I steped out on the surface I spotted the Karma land safely and the life pods just ram the ground as their landing. Everyone started to inspect the meteor and we Leon Jin

found out it was mostly made out of iron, I thought “ Darn we can’t use iron to make a slipdrive (idk what is called anymore) I wish there was something else '' . Soon our communication people picked up something on the radio, someone was on this meteor with us. I didn't hear everything but I was sure they were speaking english. Suddenly a figure appeared in the distance shouting “ I know i’ll do it ok ok ok!” Then a figure walked out from the shadows and exclaimed “visitors !”. It was a Turien but it wasn't any Turien, It was small, missing patches of hair, and didn't look like a good

fighter, his name was Algar the amazing. He led us to this hideout on the other side of the meteor, it was called the fools end. When we entered the fool's end I could tell immediately it was some sort of party place, it had a poker table with a shady man next to it, a stage with horrible music playing, a bar, and a fighting corner. There were all sorts of species here, there were a couple of Asarians, a Human, some strong looking Turiens, and even a Drakarian named Gleebo. We asked around where we could get some parts for a slipdrive but Gleebo said he had some but it would cost some cheebo (the currency).

So our mission was to make some cheebo, enough to buy some parts for a slipdrive. Me and one of our communicators Christina went to the poker table, a couple went to the kitchen, one volunteered to sing on the stage and one went to fight. We were playing poker when the shady man pointed at Gideonand said “your pilot looks like he's enjoying himself” and everybody went to look and while no one was looking he stole the all the Cheebo Christina had, but luckily I won just as much Cheebo as Christia lost and also Christina got a bit of information out of him, he was human and was once in the federation navy.

Everyone got a bit of cheebo except for the people who went in the kitchen from what I heard the last person left was our Bodyguard Hosen who was fighting in the fighting corner. We found some rich looking Asarians who were willing to bet on our Hosen and we were ready for Hosen to fight. We started off well with Hosen winning the first fight, then he won the second fight with a couple of cool kicks. It was all down to this fight the third one, if Hosun won we would have enough money to buy some slipdrive parts but his opponent was a massive Turien with metal studs

on his knuckles. His opponent's name was Karnak the unkillable, I could tell Hosun was a tiny bit scared but with brute strength and a couple quick kicks he won. We had all the cheebo we needed, then stupid Gideon clearly drunk came over and said “ i’ll take some cash for the party” then someone slaped him, so hard he fell over. Me and someone else volunteered to hold the money because we had a lot, I mean a lot a lot, I noticed the rich Asarians had some sort of orange shield surrounding them to protect them from people who would steal money. Suddenly the shady

man who me and Christina were playing poker with appeared with some sort of gun and whispered “ those shields are for rich people, you're going to want one” then he shot at some people creeping up at us in the shadows and they shot back. The shady man rushed me and the other person carrying money out the door.

Fool’s End Hannah Wu

As we flew away from the Drakarian ship, I felt proud of myself. Everyone congratulated me because I “sent Gideon off” to send the letter that we wrote for our sister ship. But after an hour or so, we heard a thud at the door. Captain Vakarian clicked the button that revealed a screen showing the area outside of our ship. Gideon was there, wearing a jetpack. He did a few tricks as everyone groaned. I swear I could hear him shout “Cowabunga dudes!” as he landed. As Captain Vakarian sighed, he opened the door. Gideon strode in looking smug. Great. Gideon’s back. As I sat back down, I heard a rapid beeping. What in the world is that? The scientists and engineers also seemed to notice it. They rushed forward to check it. “Captain! Something’s coming up fast! We’re going to have to land on it!” Gideon, hearing that it’s his time to shine, runs up to the controls (he was apparently having a “drink break”) and attempts to make a cool, smooth landing. Instead, he ends up crashing onto whatever we crashed into. “We did it guys! Oh yeah. We’re awesome!” I face-palmed and looked up just in time to see the Karma land beside us, smoothly and gently. Oh we need a new pilot. In fact… that gives me an idea for my book… (101 ways to get rid of Gideon is still a work in progress.) I was going to go up to insult him when I had a different idea and I told the crew to simply ignore Gideon. I heard a not-so quiet murmuring. “Okay, okay, I’ll go already! Geez.” A Turian came up… at least I think it’s a Turian… “Oh! It’s just some humans” he whispered into his communication device. “Your turn guys.” Captain Vakarian whispered to me and another one of the communicators. I walked up toward the strange Turian. I mean, he looks like a Turian, but he has so many patches of hair missing! He also seems to be rich… or used to. He’s wearing a robe that looks like it used to be fancy… “Welcome to my um… humble planet.” the strange alien says. “Sir, we can clearly tell that this is an asteroid.” I say to him. “Where are you from?” he says, ignoring my

question. Excuse me? Did you just ignore my question? “What do you think? We’re humans, where else would we come from other than Earth?!” “Yeah, she’s crazy.” he whispered, or tried to at least. “I heard that!” I shouted. “Why are you here?” he asked. “Well, let’s see, oh! We were just escaping a ship of Drakarians when your crazy asteroid nearly killed us!” “Oh… so you aren’t cops?” “OF COURSE NOT!” “Well then, my name is Algar the Amazing!” he says, pausing as though he was waiting for applause. “Now, follow me!” As the crew and I follow the strange Turian, I look around. W ow. This planet is so shiny! I remember the scientists mentioning that this asteroid is made of iron. I catch Gideon checking out his reflection on the asteroid. Oh god. W e reach a place with a flickering sign with the words ‘World’s End’. “Come in!” Algar leads us inside. As soon as I enter, I start hearing some strange familiar chittering noises. A Drakarian comes up, smoking something that looks like Gideon’s vape. I scream. I can hear the chittering again and I slowly translate it into “Ooh! Fresh Meat!” “Don’t worry about Gleebo.” Algar says. Our crew and Karma’s crew decide to find different tables to sit down at. I notice that Gideon isn’t here. Wait a minute… where did Gideon go? I realize that this place is a bar. Oh no. When I finally see Gideon, I notice that he has found two glow sticks and has started dancing around with them. Oh god. “Well, I didn’t expect us to be here. We still need to get the hyperdrive. Due to the fact that the Pillar of Autumn crashed and tore open that hole in the Drakarian ship, the Drakarians are probably doing repairs. Thanks to this, we will have some time before they come for us. Once we have the hyperdrive, we’ll save Captain Keys. Now first things first…” A normal Turian comes up and says “Garrus? Garrus Vakarian?!” “Um… can I help you?” “Don’t you remember me? It’s me, Roman! You said you need some parts for your ship? I can help!” “Guys, I don’t know this guy, but he seems like he could help us a bit.” Captain Vakarian whispers to us. “All you gotta do is give me a list of things you need and I’ll get them for you!” “Okay…” Captain Vakarian

starts making a list with the engineers. “Okay… Okay… Oh no…” “What is it?” Captain Vakarian asks. They start talking about a part that we need, but I can’t hear anything they say due to the fact that the singers on stage are basically just screeching out the songs. And I thought Blaze’s singing was bad! (Blaze is one of her brothers) When Roman and Captain Vakarian’s conversation ended, Captain Vakarian announced that he would have to talk to the strange Drakarian that we had met earlier. He walked off to chat with the Drakarian (whom I had learned that his name is Gleebo) Meanwhile, our crew decided to grab a bite to eat because since it was the first time we’ve ever come here, the food was free. Not to mention that we were starving. By now, Gideon had already drunk about 6 bottles of the foreign alcohol. T his will not end well. As our food came, I stared at the gloopy yellow food that I had ordered. Oh how I wish I could have some of Mama’s homemade lasagna. T he rest of my crew mates were also poking around with their food, trying to decide if this food was even edible. I decided to try a bite. I took the smallest spoonful of the yellow mush as I could and shoved it in my mouth. I chewed once and then twice and swallowed. “Hey! This stuff is actually pretty good!” By the time Captain Vakarian came back. I had already finished the entire plate. “Okay crew! We need to earn some Cheebo (money)! He hands us each a list of jobs. I grabbed a pen to make some notes. Get a Job! ● Sing for the Crowd I’ve always gotten compliments about my singing. ● Work in the Kitchen I’m pretty good at cooking and baking… ● Gamble with the Shady Man That’s a backup plan. I’ll do if I must ● Fight in the Punch Pit I can fight, but I’m not very tough… ● Pick-Pocket the Patrons Absolutely not! ● Ask People Nicely??? This is probably the best option for me.

I decided to ask people nicely (for now). As our crew split up in seperate directions (I was the only one who wanted to ask people nicely), I started choosing who I was going to ask. T here is only one human in here and that’s the shady man. The Turian are probably not the best choice for me, and I’m not even going to bother with Gleebo. So that leaves the Asari! I notice an especially fancy table of Asari nearby. I walk over and start talking. Once I explained my cause, one of the Asari women felt pity for me. “Well, we were just about to watch the fight in the punch pit…” “Oh! One of my friends is going to be fighting!” “How about this. I’m going to bet a massive sum of money on your little friend. If he wins, then I’ll give you 10% of my winnings!” “Deal!” Later My friend who had gone in the Punch Pit had won! He had won a ton of Cheebo, and with the bet that the Asari lady had bet on him, we had even more! We counted the Cheebo. It was way more than we needed! “Wow! We have so much!” And then of course, due to the fact that Gideon drank 91 bottles of the alcohol (I’m not even exaggerating), he owed a lot of money. He grabbed 2000 Cheebo and started walking away. And then, my patience snapped and I slapped Gideon so hard that he passed out. The captain decided that it was best if we left Gideon there. One of the engineers and I both grabbed all the Cheebo we could fit in our arms. As our entire crew stood up and prepared to go to Roman’s shipyard to repair our ship, the shady man stood up from his table and walked over to us. He reached into his cloak, grabbing something. Trusting my instincts, I ducked. The engineer on the other hand, simply froze. Shady Man pulled out the item. It was a pistol! I thought that he would attempt to shoot one of us, but instead, he aimed behind us. Wait, what’s going on? I whipped my head around just in time to see several figures - also looking quite suspicious - stand up, and pull their own weapons out! Why is my life so cruddy?

Fool’s End

Celina Wang

We landed on an asteroid and a tiny dude/ creature came up to us. He said that he was Algar the Amazing. He didn’t look very amazing to me…

Fool’s End Anneaka Zhou First, the Shady Man was too big to me. He seems a bit too big to be a Turian so I don’t know whether my crew members should be gambling with him. The rest of them were all pretty weird to me. I didn’t care too much because we were going to be leaving soon. I got a teeny bit suspicious when Garrus met his relative. It looked like he didn’t want to meet him or something. Daisy, Felicity (I think, I’m not sure) and I tried to sign up for a job to cook for Cheebo. They failed the test but I passed it so I guess that’s where I will be working to get Cheebo. When I realized that Hosun was going to be fighting them to get Cheebo, I had no idea what Hosun would do. Luckily, Hosun did good and we got 30,000 Cheebo out of that. Well, I’m pretty sure it was 30,00 Cheebo, my memory is bad. I didn’t do too much today so I can’t write a lot.

The Fool's End Our first bad news was that Gideon came back‌:( but he had a message that was written by the other ship, Karma. The message wrote: *You stink even worse 1. Jefferick is a failure 2. On the attack craft, the Drakarians control the ship with brain tubes 3. Eric loves to spam chat 4. We want to throw Eric off the ship 5. We killed a lot of Drakarians by shooting into the ship, and we found a Drakarians arm, it was glowing green 6. We did more damage when we were close to the enemy ships 7. Move forwards of backwards before the big laser fires to reduce damage 8. Our security guys like to jump on other ships 9. One of them hijacked an enemy ship, by punching Drakarians 10. The escape pods took some damage 11. The escape pods MUST be going somewhere, or they could not have launched 12. We believe there may be resources for a slip space drive at this location 13. Drakarians are bad 14. We've decided to keep Eric PS. We're returning Gideon. Please don't throw him off the ship‌ again. The worst part is that they returned Gideon!! He's like the worst pilot. We found a planet and decided to land there. The other ship got a whole land (I want to kidnap their driver and replace there's with Gideon). On the planet, we saw Algar the amazing. He led us to a small room. There was a sign that said" Fool's End" Just then, we heard that same sound in the cave. We looked around and saw a Drakarian!

We decided to ask Algar the Amazing about it. "Don't worry, that is Gleebo, and he's friendly?" Algar said I thought I heard" Food. I want Food," We also found one of our crew's cousins, his name is Roman. I wrote a list and asked him if there were any materials on the list. He said that all of them are there except we need chibon to buy it. "Chibon??" I asked," Is that like the money?" "Yes," he responded, "and you have to earn some." I decided to go try being a chef, Anneaka and Felicity went with me. I failed‌ We also found a shady man. I think he is a human, the only human here other than us, and he was gambling. Hannah and Leon decided to gamble with the shady man. They earned 0 dollars. Then Hosun went to the fighting area. They will double our money each time Hosun wins. Some rich dude will give us 10% on how much they earned. Hosun won all the battle. In the end, we made 30,000 chibon. After we brought all the materials and had some leftovers, Gideon came and grabbed 10,000! Suddenly something started attacking us!

  Foot’s

End

Today's class involved a series of interesting encounters in a hideout for

those looking to disappear from the rest of the universe. In fool's end we met many new and interesting characters, and took a lot of money, uhh I mean "Cheebo" from them. Write about this experience from your character's perspective, if you're struggling consider including: - first contact with Algar the Amazing - the characters in the hideout (Gleebo, The shady man, Karnak the unkillable, Iron chef Tadechi, etc) - the plans you made with your commander and what the stakes of today's events were - your commander's meeting with a long lost relative - the role your character took on to try and earn money - the way your pilot behaved - how your character felt / acted during the final Cheebo earning event - the manner in which you left the hideout

Our first surprise (and disappointment) was after the letter was sent back along with our sworn enemy Gideon. We all think he is a horrible pilot and not very helpful. We got a letter that was “incredibly nice” but we also made a similar one so, I can't really complain about it. When we landed in Fool’s End, we met a guy named Algar the Amazing who looked poor. We got the impression he used to be rich. We also met Roman a cousin of one of our crew and Gleebo. They told us they had the materials we needed but couldn’t give it to us for free. We obviously had no money of our own. We set out to find different jobs to earn money and buy what we needed. A few people went to work with Iron Chef Tadechi, Annie sang, Hannah wanted to gamble with the shady man and Hosun decided to fight. Annie earned 1000 cheebo from

singing and the assistant chefs earned 5,000 cheebo. Hannah and Leon decided to gamble with the Shady man. They earned some and lost some so we didn't really benefit from the gambling. The biggest part was that Hosun decided to wrestle with some guys in a pit for money. An Asari told us he’d give us 10% of his earnings if we won. Hosun won the first round but we still decided not to bet all our money on him. We also decided to let him do all the rounds. We won and ended up with more money than we needed. We were all very happy. Gideon and his friend came and asked for their share of the money. We were so mad we let Hannah slap and punch him. He hadn’t done anything to help. We really need a better pilot! Hosun and Hannah each held some money. They were talking and then the Shady man came and said something. The next thing we knew he was attacking Hosun with something! Hannah managed to move away, dropping some cheebo. We also saw several hooded figures.

Hosun Li

We threw Gideon off the ship and we more to be added,We get on a planet and a slip drive costs 5000 cheebo, a currency. We first went to a kitchen and get 500 cheebo. Then we gamble and get another 500 by luck. Then christina sang so good people threw cheebo on stage and got us 1000. I went on the pit of punches and became the champion and we got 13.5k cheebo and this man gave us 10%of his earnings and now we at 30k and we got armour, supplies, the slip drive, and we still had 15k left.Hannah and Leon each carried half.We wanted to buy a special shield and we bought it but we got attacked

Day 4

Fools End Felicity Lu

After flying for 2 hours in the SS Storm Falcon, a sensor tells us that an object is heading our way. Sadly our sister ship returned Gideon after we sent him to them and Gideon decides to crash land us on the “object” which turns out to be an asteroid. Then we all look over to our right and we see that our sister ship has made a smooth, clean landing right beside us. We all start glaring at Gideon and he pretends not to notice. After a while we hear speaking through a radio which is odd because this doesn’t usually happen. The speaking seems to be coming closer to us and then out of nowhere the smallest Turian i've ever seen pops up. He is wearing a blue cape and introduces himself as Algar the Great but i’m probably just going to call him Algar. Also, he looks as though he used to be rich. Algar then leads us to a sign that says “Fools end”. Behind the sign is what looks to be a club/bar. As we go inside to take a look, a Drakarian scurries past us and I'm pretty sure he said “fresh meat”. When Garrus Vakarian tells us to sit down and rest a little, I take the time to think about what we still need to do. Here's my plan: 1. slip drive 2. death lazar 3. Save Captain James Key(if possible). But as I was formulating this plan, at the corner of my eyes I see Gideon having the time of his life, dancing with Asaris and drinking a drink that I don't recognize. When my eyes stare forwards again I see this large Turrian named Roman talking to Garrus. I hear Roman say that cheebo is money here and we

need it to buy us the parts for the slip drive and many other things. To earn cheebo, 2 other crew members and I decided to work at the kitchen. The head chef isn’t very nice and the food here tastes disgusting! For some odd reason, the head chef gives one crew member 500 cheebos but me and the other crew member get rejected but I think that's a good thing because after tasting the food, I wasn't so sure about working there anymore. Suddenly a thought comes into my mind: I wonder what my other crew members are doing to earn cheebo. When I walk back to Garrus to tell him how I failed to get a job, I see that all our crew members are running toward the exit so my natural instinct is to follow them. I wonder what happened...

CHAPTER FIVE The Hunt on Roman's dock

The Hunt on Roman’s Dock Celina Wang I kind of All I knew was to run. We ran onto the dock where ships was docked. I saw the Karma ships navigator carrying someone with brown hair and bleached at the tip. Nooooooo… Is it Gideon? Uuuuugh. He’s back. Some person on our crew knocked him unconscious. At least he’s not on our ship. I had to start the ship?! This isn’t going to end well. We would either crash or stay where we are. Hopefully we wouldn’t crash. So I slammed the accelerator forward. Nothing happened. Then, another person offered to drive the ship. Whew, what a relief! She made us fly. Wow. She was on the communication team. The people chasing us probably stopped by now. I was with the Shady Man. I tried to ask his name. He would be less shady if we knew his

name. I also didn’t want to keep calling him Mr. Shady Man anymore. He said it was private. Awwww… I guess I’ll keep calling him Mr. Shady Man. We went to see Roman to repair our ship. When we docked the ship Roman came out to greet us. He gave us a drink. I refused along with a few other people. Some people agreed to drink what Roman had to offer. I don’t trust Roman. He could have put something in the drink and steal our hard earned Cheebo. (I forgot what happened) We were checking the bar with the Shady Man. The Shady Man was checking places like behind curtains or under chairs. Weird. He’s probably looking for a secret door or something. We follow his example even though I have absolutely no idea what we're looking for. One of the people checked in a closet and next thing you know, there are two of them.

Ummm… What…? This is confusing. Who’s the clone and who’s real? Someone asked them a question. “What was the 3rd thing we wrote to the Karma ship?” The first one answered “You suck”. The second one answered “Ummm… Don’t forget to get milk from the store!” Obviously the second one was fake. And it was Roman! We tied him up and he had a device. The Shady Man confirmed that it was a cloaking device. We brought Roman back to our ship. One of our crew members (the one that slapped Gideon) slapped Roman. We could use the cloaking device to make our ship look like a Drakarian ship. Some of the people on our crew could look like Drakarians too. We were going to sneak into the Drakarian ship.

Day 5

The Hunt on Roman’s Dock Felicity Lu

As the Turians are chasing us, we decide to put our space helmets back on to try and protect our heads from the boulders the Turians are throwing at us. Another crew member and I start to slow down because I admit, running is not one of my strengths. But luckily our communications crew threw boulders back at the Turians no problem because of course there is low gravity in space. When I look to my left, I see our sister ship with Algar the Amazing and Gideon who is being carried. When we all get onto our ship, the Turians stop chasing us and we take turns trying to fly the SS Storm Falcon since Gideon is now with our sister ship. Then we remember that the shady man (who we found in the bar) is with us now and he used to be a pilot so we ask him to fly the plane instead. Immediately everyone including me loves our new pilot much better than Gideon. Our new pilot is quiet and doesn’t seek attention all the time. Also, the ride in our ship isn’t bumpy anymore. The shady man directs us to Roman’s shipyard to get the SS Storm Falcon fixed because it's not in very good shape right now. The trip there was not as long as I thought and when we arrived, the first things I saw were large metal platformes everywhere. But before we hop off our ship, my other fellow scientists and I, heal one of our crew members because he seems pretty injured. When we are finally ready to depart from our ship, the moment we step off, Roman leaps right in front of us to greet our crew. Roman explained that he will give us jobs to do and we will work for him and in return, he will fix our ship. Sounds good.

So far I think we're doing our jobs pretty well and apparently Roman thinks so too because he comes back with refreshments. I haven't really gotten to know this guy yet and I'm not sure if I trust him so pass on the drinks. I tell Roman that I don't like alcohol which is actually not a lie and most of our crew members seem to agree with me and don’t drink it. But then, out nowhere the shady man points his weapon at Roman and shoots him. Suddenly smoak fills the room and we remember that the hallway is forward so our crew joggs there. When we arrive at the hallway we see a long trail of blue blood and Roman is nowhere to be seen. The shady man informs us that Roman has a piece of technology which means that one of us is a shapeshifter. After a bit arguing, we all agree that we should split up into groups of 3. Then we would all go in different directions and explore where we are assigned. Garrus, 1 other crew member and I carefully explore the smoke room where Roman disappeared. All 3 of us agree that Roman did more than just run away. Suddenly as we are discussing what Roman did, we hear a loud shriek. I run after Garrus and we arrive at the room where we heard the shriek. At first I can’t really see anything because the room we are in is filled with smoke but when the smoke starts to clear, my heart sinks. One of our crew members has been cloned and the worst part is that we can’t tell which one is which. We all sit silently in the room as we think of a question to ask the crew member and the clone to see which one is which. Finally we came up with a genius idea. We should ask them what the 3rd sentence on our letter to our sister ship said because Roman programmed the clone and he would not have known what we did on our ship. Of course we ask that question before we forget it and we expose the clone who is actually Roman.

After that, we tie him up and find a device which must have been the device to make Roman look like one of our crew members. We leave Roman in the room and walk back to our ship. We figure out how to attach the device we found onto our ship to make our ship look like the Drakarien ship and make it stronger. As we hop on to our new looking ship and get ready to go save Captain Keys, out of nowhere the shady man says “Let's go save my brother and by the way, my name is Jacob Keys.”

Hosun Li

We’re getting chased by drakarians and the shady man was a federation and shot the drakarians with a gun.Gideon was carried on to the karmar and the shady man started to fly the storm falcon. We went to roman’s shipyard.we went to repair and the engineers repaired it. Roman gave us alcohol but we didn't drink it.The shady man shot roman. He ran away to a smoky room. Then told us to not drink the alcohol. One of us is a shapeshifter and we have to find them and we see a blood trail.Hannah followed and they made progress. They know that there is a dangerous thing is there. They see the end and they see a device on the ground.Daisy grabs it with a special tool.It was a recording device.Romans voice says haha im gonna get so much cheebo and ill have 2 ships to my name. They invested the room and it was a busy place. We figure out that something was going on there. Leon ponders the shapeshifter device and thinks he can add it on our ship.Celina asks the shady man his name,The shady man says i'll not tell you.I whore a device and we got a signal.we followed a blood trail to a closet.Anneka opened it and a cloud of smoke erose. Then there were 2 anneakas. We figured out to ask a question and find out.we took a cloak and we made our ship look like a drakarian ship.Shady man joined our crew and he sat down in the navigation seat.He flicks the lever and we turn to a drakarian ship.He says let's go save my brother. The shady man is called Jacob keys.He was a legendary federation hero that disappeared 6 years ago and older brother of captain keys.

 The Hunt on Roman’s Dock

I don’t remember all the details, just the basics of what happened. We learned that the other ship, the Karma had pickpocketed the Turians so they were very angry. It wasn’t our fault but they didn't really care so they chased us as well. At least the Shady man (also known as Jacob Keys) had a weapon. Wn.e all ran towards the ship and got on. We didn’t bother saving Gideon but unfortunately the other ship did. Without a proper pilot, we had just enough luck to lift off. Fortunately, Jacob was a former pilot and helped us fly the ship to Roman’s house. Jacob and Brutus came with us, along with weapons. Roman let us in and offered some alcoholic drinks. Most of us were suspicious, underage or non alcoholic. Anneaka, Brutus and some other people drank. We soon realized the drink had done something to them. We saw clones. Other than that, I mostly remember lots of smoke and some fighting. I didn’t understand what was happening at the time.

The Hunt On Romans Dock Daisy Chen The turians kept on chasing us and the scientist had a hard time keeping up. To keep up they got hurt. The communicators tried to put rocks in their way but the turian just pushed them out of the way. I tried to jump to the ship which succeeded but Leon was weak (lol) and he failed. We had reached the ship. We learned that the Karma ship had pickpocket and that’s why the turians are angry. When we got to Roman’s base, we started to repair the ship. The communicators delivered parts of the ship and the scientist resembled the parts. Leon and I attached the parts to the ship. When we were done, Roman invited us for a drink. the drink looked weird… At least three of us drinked it. I’m not a FAN of alcohol so I didn’t drink it. Just then, the shady man walked in. “I don’t trust you…” he said. Then he pulled out his weapons. Then a MASSIVE explosion happened! After, the shady man explained that Roman found a suspicious looking device that can clone people and he just wants to clone someone here. We found traces of blood. We followed the traces of blood. When we weren’t looking, Roman yonked Anneaka and there were 2 Anneakas. We asked each of the Anneaka a question and it was “What is the Second thing we wrote to Karma?” I interviewed one and she said “Don’t forget to deliver the milk!” We can obviously tell that this one is Roman. We knocked him out and we took the cloning device. We figure out that we can clone ourselves to look like the red bugs!

The Hunt on Roman’s Dock Anneaka Zhou

Since Gideon is now on the other ship, we shall all be happy now. Hopefully they don’t send him to us. We went over to Roman’s ship fixing place and we had to fix our ship. We did an OK job. Roman decided to give us some kind of drink. I was tempted to not drink it and I knew I wasn’t supposed to drink it but for science, I drank it to see what it does. It didn’t do much at all. But I learned that there was alcohol in it and was confused why the other guys would drink it, they’re underaged. Roman was pretty suspicious the whole time. We went looking for Roman. Me, Celina and the shady man went together and found Roman morphed as me. I was legit like “Are you kidding me?” Out of all of us, he did me? They asked me a question and I was pretty sure that it was “You stink.” Roman didn’t even try to act like me. Now it was completely obvious that it was Roman because #1, that is Roman’s voice not mine and #2, his answer was wrong. We figured out that the shady man was actually Jacob Keys. :o I was very shook. Captain Keys’ older brother? Well now he is our pilot. Much better than Gideon. Our plan is, since we have the cloaking device, some of us will morph into Drakarians and also we will change our ship to look like the Drakarian ship. Hopefully it works well.

The Hunt on Roman’s Dock I Think This Is Still Day 2 - C hristina Ye

“Hurry! Run, get out! Is all we hear as we sprint out the door. Glancing behind, we see large turians chasing us. The communication squad decides to create a wall with several boulders on the asteroid to keep them off. It succeeds in buying us about 7 more minutes of time before they busted it down and started charging after us all over again. Karma is just on our tails, running like wild cats just like we are. Their pilot, Jefferick, is holding what looks like a drunk turian, and helping it onto the ship. Our team quickly realizes that it’s Gideon, our own crazy pilot who we abandoned after he had a whole bottle of vodka back at the bar. All our faces drown into pure disgust. We absolutely hate Gideon, so we have already punched him a couple times, leaving him in an unstable state. The running finally comes to a stop and we board the ship. Realizing we have no pilot, Celina makes a desperate attempt to start the engine, but it just sputters and dies down. I offer to try my luck on navigating, and surprisingly, I am able to pull it off and our ship takes flight. Just as we settle down, we see the turians give up and run away now that we are mid-flight. Everything remains normal until a small voice says, “Well, I guess I’m on your ship now.” We turn around and see the shady man from the bar on the back of our ship. We stare at him with surprised but glad faces, as we knew he was a pilot a while back. Hannah asks “Can you fly the ship for us? Gideon’s on the other ship, and nobody here knows how to fly.” He agrees, and we give him the directions to Roman’s Planet,

where we will pick up our supplies. As soon as we say the name Roman, his face scrunches up and looks uneasy. He asks us how we know him and responds saying that he is Garrus’ cousin. “Sorry to hear that.” he says, with a stern look on his face. We arrive and are assigned various rolls to assemble the parts. It goes pretty swiftly, and our engineers find a new way to assemble the parts which might go to use in last-minute emergencies. Sneaking around the corner, an asari man seemed to have gotten smaller and then returned to his normal height. “Did you guys see that?” I asked the rest of our team. They replied yes, the shady man looked very suspicious. As Roman comes back to check on us, he does the same thing as the asari, making us oddly confused. He invites us to his hut to have some food. We agree, and once we arrive, see one glass for each of us set up. Due to my rising suspicion, I and the rest of the communications decide not to drink it. Across the table, Gideon, Leon, and Brutus gobble up the drink. All of a sudden, the shady man walks in and everything seems to go in slow motion. Because the rest of us were distracted, it was up to us to figure out what the shady man was doing. He reaches into his pocket, where his weapon usually lies, and I freeze. Why does he want to shoot us? Relief floods through me as his aim and gaze was actually focused on Roman. “Care for a drink?” says Roman. In a flurry, the room fills with smoke. The shady man ushers us out, several of us vomiting after drinking the mysterious bottles. Once we are safely outside, Roman points his gun at us and says, “Somewhere in this camp, there is a shapeshifter. I’m not leaving until we find it, and not until I know

it’s not one of you.” Why would one of us be the shapeshifter? We all came at the same time. His plan was to divide us into groups. The 1st group was to follow the blood trail Roman left, and they found a mysterious device that Roman is able to communicate from. “Oooooh, I will get all your money…” he says with malice. They shout from afar to tell us that Roman was the shapeshifter. In group 2, my group began investigating the smoke room after it cleared up. Brutus helps me look around, and Felicity was able to draw the conclusion that while Roman was in the smoke, a lot more than “run away” happened. It looks like he was grabbing things off his desk in a hurry, due to the state of his furniture. In the third group, they were tinkering with the devices to see if they would be useful to the ship. The device finally starts working after about 10 minutes. The last group worked along with the shady man, scanning the perimetres of the area. Anneaka approached a closet, and decided to look inside. The door opens… and she sees herself inside! The clone pulls her inside, and another round of smoke erupts. “ Everyone, come back!”Shady man yells. We come back to the closet and see two Anneakas in front of us, with no idea to tell them apart. After almost half an hour, we decided to ask, “What was the third thing we wrote on the letter to our sister ship?” They whisper their answers to us, one Anneaka saying “You stink”, which is the correct answer. The other one says, in a clearly Roman-tone, “Euhhh, you have to, uh pick up some milk from the store!” We immediately know it is him and steal the device from his grasp. Roman threatens “ Argh, I will get my revenge!” and we tir him in his own house.

Behind him are two other people tied up in the closet, who we free and give us a couple thank yous. From behind, Garrus apologizes for getting us into this mess with a sad look on his face. We say it’s okay, and use the device to change the exterior of our ship to what looks like a drakarian scout ship. The engineers figure out that a couple of us could turn into Drakarians, but only when we are near the device. As we prepare to leave, the shady man says, “ I am ready to join your crew. Let’s go rescue my brother.” and we take off. P.S.- We found out that his name is Jacob Keys, Captain’s older brother and a legendary federation hero!

Leon Jin

I’m not sure what day it is anymore: So I was running as fast as I could with every with everybody With me, I could see the ship so i tried jumping but I got shot then someone threw a large rock at the Turiens chasing us and that caught them off guard letting us run towards the ship. Then once inside the ship I remembered Gideon, he was still in the Hideout but I didnt care, he was useless anyways. We were not sure who was going to drive the ship but someone tried but failed, then Christina tried and it worked, once we were up in the skies and safe from the Turians chasing us we asked the shady man if he wanted to drive and he said ok.

The shady man was actually so good at driving and he did all the moves Gideon did but, we didn't get dizzy or fall over while he did them. He was really good at flying! We flew around the meteor towards a rusty old place called Roman’s dock, when we first landed at the dock we met this man n Named Roman. Roman came over to our ship and said “ok let’s do this ”, I was confused because number one, no one else was here, the Karma us and Roman. Number two he said “let’s” then I realized that he wanted us to help, so he brought us the parts, the communication people sent orders to everyone, the

scientists sorted the parts up, and me and the engineers attached everything on the ship. We were even able to add some extra armor and guns to the ship, after a hard day of work we were finally done with the ship, everyone was so proud of their work so Roman invited everybody for dinner. We all sat down at a table and Roman gave everybody drinks, he said that it had a tiny bit of alcohol, with the presence of alcohol some of the crew did not drink it but me and a couple others did. Roman was right there was a bit of alcohol but only a tiny bit, then the Shady man burst into the room with his gun out and shot at Roman.

Then someone dropped some sort of smoke cloud in the room so nobody could see anything at all, when the smoke cleared away Roman was gone and there was a blood trail leading out of the room. We asked the Shady man what happened and he said that he knew Roman and that was not what Roman looked like, then he asked who drank the drink Roman gave us and me and the people who drank the drink raised their hands. The Shady man did an alcohol test and everyone else but me puked, then the Shady man ordered that we split into groups and search the building for Roman. We were walking down a hall when we found a weird recorder or radio thing. Turns

out it was some sort of Shape Shifting thing meaning the Shady man was right, that Roman was an imposter.

We heard a scream so we rushed in that direction towards a room, we got there. I saw two Annekas. I couldn't believe my eyes but everyone else looked just as confused as I was. Then I realized that one of the Annekas was the real one and the other one was the imposter, so we created a question that only the real Anneka knew. The question was what is the third thing we wrote on the letter to the Karma and the first Anneka said you stink and the second one started to stutter then said some random stuff that was wrong, we found the imposter.

We tied the imposter up and went inside our upgraded ship and flew off with the Shapeshifting thing. The scientists and the engineers were able to use the shapeshifting thing on us so if we had one we could shapeshift. Then we asked the Shady man who he really was and he really was and he replied with “ Jacob Keys your captain's older brother. Then we flew off the rescue captain keyes.

The Hunt on Roman’s Dock Hannah Wu

Aw come on! When am I ever going to get a break from all this? As we’re running away from the shady figures, - which I eventually notice that they’re Turians - I attempt to find a way to run without dropping any Cheebo. I grab my bag and shove as much Cheebo as I can into it. The scientists and engineers couldn’t think of anything to make us faster, so we kept on running. Then one of my fellow communicators just had the idea to push the giant iron boulders to block the Turians. Won’t this just slow us down? We’re basically the least tough of our entire crew. Then again, we don’t have enough time to call everyone else to help… I helped push one of the enormous boulders behind us. Of course, due to the fact that they’re Turians, they smashed the boulders into itsy bitsy pieces. Brutus - who had been recovering - came out of the ship’s door and saw the Turians. He pulled out a gun and started shooting, just like the shady man. When we were finally close to the SS Stormfalcon, I noticed the Karma floating nearby. Their entire crew was also approaching their ship. And then I noticed Jefferick, the Karma’s pilot, carrying an unmistakable blond guy. NOOOOOOOOO! I t was the one and only, Gideon. G reat. Just great. Then I snapped back to the present. Due to the fact that Gideon’s on the other ship and we need to fly away from the Turians… Oh no. Someone else has to fly the ship. Yeah, I’m not so sure I could do this. One of my fellow communicators tried to turn it on, but failed. One of the engineers immediately followed, hitting buttons and flipping switches, eventually managing to start up to ship. As the ship started floating, the Turians seemed to realize that they had no chance of catching us anymore. They turned around and raced away. The shady man takes the wheel and commences flying us to Roman’s shipyard. “I don’t trust Roman.” Shady Man says. That makes two of us. After all, how did he know that we needed help? Garrus said that he didn’t recognize him… and that says a lot

because most Turians look exactly the same. When we finally land, I take one glance around. Whelp, this place is a dump. There is stuff piled everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. Brutus - who is now healed - decides to come with us, due to low amounts of security, and Shady Man, whom I don’t know the reason he came with us. Roman comes to greet us. W ait a minute, wasn’t he at the bar with us before we escaped? Ah never mind. It’s impossible anyway. “Ah! Here are your parts. Now, we’ll get to work. I look around for the “we” Roman was talking about. Wait a minute… “Come on! Let’s get to work!” he shouts at us. S o, we’re doing the work?! We paid you to make us work? My life is just getting more and more crazy. The engineers and scientists were working on the ship while we (the communicators) gave orders. When we were finally finished (by now I had given about 3 wrong orders), Roman offered us dinner. I stared at the plate of food in front of me. It looked delicious… but smelled absolutely disgusting. Ew… what in the universe is this stuff? I have eaten many weird things over my time here, but this, this PUTRID stuff, is the most horrible thing I’ve ever smelt in my entire life. And I have 4 older brothers! I decided that I would simply pretend to shovel the food (if you can even call it that) into my mouth, and then dig around in my backpack to see if I could find a snack to eat when we get back on the ship. “Would anyone like a drink?” Roman asked. A few people, including Brutus, said yes. “Does this have alcohol in it?” I asked. “Yes!” “Oh… I’m so sorry. I’m underage and I’d prefer not to drink any alcohol during my lifetime.” “Oh… that’s okay…” he says, looking strangely disappointed. Shady Man walks in, breaking the awkward silence. “You!” “You!” they shout at each other. Shady Man reaches into his cloak yet again. O h my god! I immediately duck, while my communicator friends freeze. He pulls out the exact same weapon that he used in the bar and aims it at Roman’s gut. Roman attempted to whack the pistol out of Shady Man’s hands, but failed. Shady Man pulls the trigger. Smoke drifts into the room. We all run out of the room, leaving Roman behind. Shady Man

explains that Roman is actually a shapeshifter. “There is also a shapeshifter somewhere in your group.” he says, as though it was the most normal thing in the world. “Wait, WHAT?!” “Or,” he says. “They could be over there.” He jabs his finger over toward a long winding trail of blood. Blue blood. “Let’s split up into groups of 3, and investigate this place.” Why did we get assigned to follow the trail of blood? My shoes, my poor beautiful shoes, were soaked with dripping blue blood. Ew. “Hey!” one of my groupmates shouted. “The trail ends over here!” I walk over to him. There’s a strange looking device on the ground. “Well, I’m not touching that.” I look over to the engineer in our group. She grabs a pair of sticks and uses them to pick up the machine. While she was looking at the device, I heard a yell from Shady Man. “Hey guys! Come over here!” We all rush over. There are two girls standing near a closet, looking exactly identical. W hat the? I recognize both of the girls as one of my crew members. W ait… why are there two of them? “One of them is the real Roman, disguised as that girl. The other is the real one.” “Ooh! I’ve seen this in a movie before!” I shout. “We need to ask some sort of question to identify the real person!” Our entire group - minus Shady Man, who’s watching the clone and the real girl - huddles away and tries to brainstorm a question to ask them. Then, one of my crew members hit it. “I got it! What about: ‘What was the 4th note on our letter to the Karma?” “Ooh! It’s perfect!” I shout. “But we need to ask the girls separately. That way, the clone won’t be able to copy answers.” I stand aside and listen to the people asking the questions. The first one answers “Um… Buy more milk at the store???”. W help, we already know that one’s a fake. I listen to the other conversation. “You stink.” the girl says confidently. We immediately tie up the fake, and pull off the cloaking device off of him, turning him back into Roman. The engineers examine the gadget and announce that they will be able to cloak our ship as a Drakarian cocoon. After another minute or two, they say that they will also be able to

turn some people on our ship into Drakarians. We hop back on our ship and fly away, toward the Violet Nebula, where we saw the Drakarian ship last. Another one of the girls announced that she had some news to announce. She had interviewed Shady Man and found out that he was actually Jacob Keys, the legendary Federation hero who had mysteriously disappeared, and the older brother of Captain James Keys. Oh. My. God.

CHAPTER SIX Πθζζλεσ ανδ Σεψρετσ

Please tell me what day it is Christina Ye

As we re-enter the Violet Nebula, everybody is quiet with anticipation. Our next mission is the most dangerous one: Rescuing Captain Keyes from the cocoon, the drakarian’s largest ship. Our new pilot, Jacob Keys, flies smoothly through the galaxy as we peer out the force field. We approach the ship, and hear a sound come from our radio: “Gratchu”. It repeats over and over, and then I realize that the drakarians want some sort of password. Because we have a limited time to guess, we ask Jacob. He shrugs and says, “Gleebo was the password back in my day, but I don’t know if it is now.” Out of ideas, we decide to try. “Gleebo” I hiss into the radio. The drakarian seems to approve, and we are allowed to dock. As we head down, we can see that they repaired the ship after the massive damage from the Pillar of Autumn. Leon, Celina and I agree to be Drakarians, so we take the device and walk towards the cocoon’s entrance. As we enter, I say “Gleeboo” to one of the Drakarians, and he nods in approval. Leon and Celina weren’t very convincing, but I guess mine and Brutus, who did okay, was enough to get by. We walk down the hallway in a single file line: Brutus, then me, Celina, and Leon. We soon realize that Brutus is completely lost, admitting that he had no idea where we were going. All of a sudden, Leon is pulled from the back of our group into a mysterious room. We head in, Brutus pulling out his flashlight and slowly walking around. We hear a voice, and soon identify it with Captain Keys. He is holding

a drakarian arm and is about to whip Leon. “Stop!” Hannah yells, “He is not a drakarian, he is our crewmate!’ “Give me proof,” says the captain. Hannah goes on to explain our adventure, and the captain soon realizes it is really us. He turns to Leon and ruffles his long tentacles through the disguise. “Sorry lil’ buddy!” He says, laughing. He explains what he has been doing on the cocoon, but we start to become louder. A drakarian turns into our hallway and opens the door to our room. In a frenzy, we pretend we are arresting the captain and Brutus smashes him against a wall. Knowing that was a drakarian thing to do, he leaves us alone. Keys brings us to a large sealed door and tells us the crew of the Pillar of Autumn is likely in here. The problem is that there is a keypad, which only registers drakarian touch. “That explains this drakarian arm.” Keys says, “I just don’t know what this means. He points to the keypad, which is covered in strange letters. “I’ve been here for days, but still can’t figure out their alphabet. We spend the next 30 minutes trying to unscramble the code, the only help the distress call we received at the beginning, “We need help.” After a while, I realize the alphabet is in order of the keys on a keyboard, and I read them out to everyone else. We unscramble the alphabet, and realize it is looking for a username and a password. We attempt to guess it, trying one letter at a time. In an additional 15 minutes, we figure out that the username is administrator, and the password is simply just password. The Captain exclaims, with a sigh of relief, “ I spent 2 days infront of this door, and it only took you three quaters of an hour. Oh well!” he says, chuckling. The door swings

open and sure enough, the crew of the Pillar of Autumn is tied up, exhausted. We take off their handcuffs and approach the back of the room. We find the leader of our sister ship, Miranda Reynolds. But how? I swore we saw her. Sitting against a wall, we see- “Garrus?” Captain Keys shouts. Confused, we ask them a couple questions and realize that these are our real ship captains. They tell us how they were cloned and locked here, powerless. “Wow,” Captain says, “I’m just glad to be back.” And with that, Garrus says, “Let's take back our ship.” P.S.- We also wrote a letter to Karma.

Leon Jin

I honestly don't know what day it is:

We were flying in space in our newly upgraded ship with the Shady man at the wheel when I thought I heard someone say Gideon was on our sister ship the Karma, I was depressed because I really wanted Gideon to die but i wouldn't shoot our sister ship down because we might need their help when we run into trouble.

With the shape shifting technology we pieced together a plan to sneak onto the giant Drakarian ship and rescue captain Jaimes Keys , we used the technology to make our ship look like one of the Drakarian mini ships. Then me, Christina, Brutus and, someone else became Drakarians and everyone else had to pretend to be our prisoners. Everything was fine until we got close to the ship because that's when we received a signal, the scientists thought it was a message wanting some sort of secret code. Everyone thought about the code when someone said “Gleebo”. We sent a message back saying Gleebo and they let us in, that's when I realized that Gleebo was probably a spy watching everyone at Fool’s end. When we landed in the ship we walked off saying Gleebo to everybody who looked confused, we were walking down a hallway and only a couple Drakarians

were suspicious then I felt hands grab my head and pull me into darkness.

I heard some muffled talking outside the place the mysterious figure was hiding and when I tried to shout nothing came out because his hand was covering my mouth, then everyone else found me and that's when we found out that the mysterious figure was captain Jaimes Keys. We told him we were the crew from the S.S Storm Falcon and I took off my disguise and he felt my head tentacles and said Leon. He explained to us what happend when the Drakarians took them, how he escaped, and how he survived for days in the Drakarian ship, than he told us he knew where everyone else was.

He showed us a huge metal door and a small password panel to open it and said he was trying to open it for days already because the rest of his crew were on the other side and he couldn't figure out the password. First we tried to decode the message and use the vocabulary we already knew from the S.O.S message they sent us to figure out their alphabet. After what seemed like a long time we finally figured it out and we started to put letters in, turns out the password was

password and the username was administrator, then we opened the door.

We saw a bunch of people chained to the wall, they all looked like they were beat up and starving, I saw some familiar faces and at the very back I saw captain Miranda Reynolds and our captain Garrus. The captains on our ships were Drakarians in disguise!

What we had to do was get everyone safely on the ship and kill the Drakarian imposters and escape before it's too late.

I, Lily Fayette Regina, am sitting in the same room as the legendary Federation hero, Jacob Keys!!! Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh! This is so exciting! “Lily!” someone shouts, snapping me out of my daze. “We’re deciding on who should turn into a Drakarian!” “Oh I’m definitely out. But the Asari are a good option. After all, they have minor telepathic powers.” I look outside the window. We’re entering the Violet Nebula. I glance down. Our ship is now a big, fat, sticky cocoon. Ew. Why did the Drakarians have to build their ship out of a material that looks like spider silk dipped in glue? When I turn back around, 4 Drakarians are standing in front of me. “Agh!” I scream, falling backwards. “Relax Lily. It’s just your crew members disguised as Drakarians.” Jacob says. Oh my gosh! Jacob Keys knows my name! I look out the window, feeling a sense of dread wash over me. A large, looming figure hovers below us. I start hearing a repeated word. “Draku. Draku. Draku.” over and over and over again. My group of communicators and I attempted to translate the word. We eventually decided that we would simply use the word “Gleebo”, the name of the Drakarian we had met at Fool’s End. We have two Asari in our Communication group, and due to the fact that Asari have minor telepathic powers, they could send the message over. Somehow, after a minute or two, the Drakarians actually let us dock. “Wait,” I said. “I have an idea! Instead of sneaking everyone who isn’t disguised as a Drakarian can be a “hostage”! This way, we can all go investigate without being very suspicious.” Garrus tied up our hands so that we could look like real hostages. “I’ll be staying here guys. You know to um… watch over the ship!” Garrus said. “And I’ll be staying with you.” replied Jacob.

The first thing I notice about the Drakarian ship is the fact that the ship is fully repaired from the damage that we caused in the battle between us and the cocoon. We enter a freshly peeled open door. Is it bad that I still feel squeamish around these things? The “Drakarians” come in contact with real Drakarians, but manage to convince them that they’re totally normal. As we’re walking around, Brutus gets lost. While we were all looking for where to go, one of the engineers disguised as a Drakarian was pulled away. I heard an ear-piercing yell as he got dragged away. We all follow the sound to a dark corridor. (And trust me. That isn’t easy to do when your arms and legs are tied up to someone else’s) There is someone there, holding the engineer. There’s a Drakarian arm poking out, but it’s disconnected? O h my god. C aptain Keys looks up to see our crew “tied up” next to some Drakarians. He presses the gun in his hand to the “Drakarian’s” head. My crew urges me to convince him not to kill our crewmate. Captain Keys explained that ever since the Pillar of Autumn crashed into the ship, he’s been sneaking through the walls, looking for an escape. He leads us to a control pad. “I’ve found out that this doesn’t interact with human touch. That’s why I have this!” he said, pointing to the Drakarian arm we had seen earlier. I looked at the blue blood dripping off of it. Ugh. I think I’m going to be sick. “ However, I don’t know the password and username. Plus, the entire keyboard is in Drakarian!” We spend some time brainstorming and entering passwords. Later… “Seriously?!” I whisper-shout. “I did not stand here for two days, and yes I’ve been counting, just for a username of ‘Administrator’ and the password ‘Password’!” The door peels open. What the… The entire crew of the Pillar of Autumn is in the room, bound just the way we were when we were faking. And in the back of the room… “Garrus? Miranda?” Captain Keys asks, obviously shocked like myself. Wait a minute, are they fakes like Roman? C aptain Keyes interviews them, later on confirming that they are

the real captains. We help untie everyone. Garrus and Miranda explain that after they entered the rooms aboard the mothership, they were both attacked (separately) by smaller Drakarians. They were tied up and had some DNA stolen from them. Using a device to turn into them, the Drakarians cloned themselves into the captains. “We watched as our fake selves burst through the gooey doors, running away with our crews, and we were helpless and couldn’t do anything at all. We all sat in silence. “So now what do we do?” I asked. “Well,” said Captain Keys, standing up. “Let’s take back our ships!”

Πθζζλεσ ανδ Σεψρετσ Celina Wang

We still had a dilemma. Only a few people can become Drakarians with the cloaking device. A crew member came up with the idea that a few of us will be Drakarians, and the others will be hostages. So me, a few other people and Brutus all were disguised as Drakarians. Ew. We look so weird. We went to the Drakarian ship with our ship looking like a Drakarian ship. It looked like they were preparing for battle. We went aboard and tried to be as convincing as possible. Me and another person weren’t quite successful… Brutus and a communication person were pretty successful. Brutus knocked a “hostage” on the back of the head and she takes damage. Ouch. We walked down a hallway and when we turn around, the “Drakarian” at the back was gone! We hear a struggle and a humanoid voice. It was Captain Keys!

The person on the Communication Team explained that he was a human. Captain Keys explained how he was sneaking around the ship all the time. He brought us to a door with a combination of weird letters on the keypad. We could only type on it with a Drakarian hand. He held up the severed Drakarian hand. Gross. I would have never done that. We already knew “help us please” so it would be a start. Turns out the password was “Password” and the username was “Administrator”. Seriously?! That was similar to reverse psychology. That made you feel really dumb. Nice job Drakarians! We should totally do that. Our enemies would feel so dumb. But if they knew it they would still break in and feel dumb. Hmmm… Anyways, We went into the room. Inside, tied up, was the crew of the Pillar Autumn. At the back of the room, tied up, was Garrus and Commander Miranda! What? Then who’s the real Garrus and Miranda?!

Captain Keys asked Garrus and Commander Miranda questions that happened at the federation. They answered the questions correctly. They were the real ones. The others were imposters! We were going to take back our ship from the imposters.

Day 6 Πθζζλεσ ανδ Σεψρετσ Felicity Lu

Finally we came up with a plan on how to save Captain James Keys. With the device that we found from Roman, we decided to turn a few of our crew members into Drakarians and everyone else would act like their hostages. Jacob Keys starts driving us to where the Drakarian ship was. At first we start to worry that the cocoon has left but we stop stressing when we hear a message from the Drakarian ship. Luckily, an Asari from our communications crew recognises that they appear to be asking for a password. We have no idea what the password is and we only have a limited amount of time so we ask Jacob Keys if he knows the password since he used to be a member of this association a long time ago. He thinks a while and then guesses that it is Glibo. Turns out that it's correct and the Drakarians allow us to come in their ship. I suddenly remember that Glibo is a Drakarian that we saw(not really met) at the bar. I wonder why that's the password… Anyways, when we approach the cocoon, it seems to be repaired and maybe even upgraded although it still looks absolutely disgusting to me. 4 of our crew members decided to be the Drakarians so everyone else is tied up between the 4 of them. I've hated this plan since it was made but now I hate it even more because when we enter the cocoon Brutus(who is pretending to be a Drakarian) punches me in the face to prove that they are real Drakarians. WOW BRUTUS!!! Why would you punch the person who already has the lowest health?! I try to hide my anger with fear because I'm actually supposed to be

scared right now. Well, after a while I actually start to freak out on the inside because I remember how bug-like Drakarians are but try not to panic because I know this mission is very important. Then suddenly out of nowhere, one of our crew members that looks like a Drakarian gets yanked away and when we look back, there is no trace of him. Obviously we start walking in the direction of where we think our crew member went and then we hear struggling. Brutus pulls out a flashlight and we see Captain James Key pointing A Drakarian arm(that is not attached to a Drakarian) like a sword at our missing crew member. Fortunately we are able to convince Captain Keys that that is one of our crew members dressed as A Drakarian. Captain Keys explained tha during the massive explosion of the Pillar of Autumn, we managed to quickly sneak in the cocoon and hide in the walls without any Drakarians noticing him. Captain Keys then leads us to a door that he has been trying to get in. He tells us that there is a keypad and a passcode we must unlock in order to get in. He explaines that he has already gotten the keypad covered and lifts up the Drakarians arm but he still hasn’t figured out the code. After a lot of thinking we work out that the username is administrator and the password is password. I can understand why Captain Keys is frustrated because the passcode and username is just so dumb and if I were him, I would be frustrated too. The door automatically opens and when we enter I'm shocked at what I see. At first I see the crew members of the Pillar of Autumn which is what I expected but then my gaze turns to the back of the room where I spot Miranda Renolds and Garrus Vakarian.

We first question the tied up captains to see if they are real or just clones and they are which means that ever since after the first encounter with the Violet Nebula, we have been with a fake commander.

Puzzles and Secrets Cindy Hu

We got some kind of machine to transform certain people who were okay with being Drakarians to Drakarians. Most people. Didn’t want to, especially those who disliked bugs. We also transformed the ship. When we got there, they telepathically asked for a password. We had to guess. Thankfully we guessed right. The password was “Gleebo”,, the name of a Drakarian that we met in Fool’s End. When we got in, they were all thinking “Gleebo, Gleebo, Gleebo Gleebo” and things like that. Christina did it right and said “Gleebo” telepathically. Unfortunately the others said it aloud but took Christina’s lead. Soon they were all saying “Gleebo” a lot. We weren’t sure why he was so important, though it could have been a coincidence. Everyone else was tied up like prisoners because we were pretending to be prisoners. As the other drakarians left the room, someone had suddenly taken one of the crew. We quickly followed the unknown kidnapper. It turned out to be the captain of the Pillar of Autumn. We talked about all our trips and then we set out to figure out a password and username. The answer was just ‘username’ and the password was just ‘password’.

It took a pretty long time to figure it out but the username was adminastar and the password is password. We unlocked the cage and we found the Pillar of Autumn!...and 2 people ( I forgot their names) from the Karma? We decided to investigate to see if they're the real one. It turns out they are! For some reason, we had to say Gleebo to make sure we weren’t enemies. We found Captain Keys and we had to put in this password which was in Drakarian language (aka Greek.) We figured out that the two words were Username and Password. I was really happy because it was me who finished the words. Then it got even better, we were trying every single letter starting with the vowels and I finished the username and password again! I just hate how boring they are. Literally administrator for a username? And Password for the password. PASSWORD. But the good thing about the Username and Password being so boring is that Captain Keys’ reaction was priceless, COMPLETELY priceless. It was hilarious. He was like “ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I’ve been standing here for 2 WHOLE days trying to figure that out and you tell me that it’s THAT basic? And the username was really just administrator? HOW could I be THAT dumb?” It was so funny I nearly fell over. LOL >-<

CHAPTER SEVEN Battle for the Bridge

Battle for the Bridge Christina Ye

Now that we freed our crew, we are carefully sneaking back to our ship. Captain Keys is leading us to the hangar, which is a good idea since we got lost last time. “Achoo!” Annie sneezes, “Achoo!” We quickly realize she is allergic to something, but the best option we have is to keep on going. A drakarian approaches us, hissing. To make things worse, Celina falls against Felicity, creating more noise. Keys whispers to Hosun, telling him to ask them what’s wrong. So, Hosun turns to Felicity and Celina and yells “WHAT'S WRONG MY DUDES?” Now, the drakarian perches on top of Hosun, ready to strike at any given moment. Brutus and Hosun work the bug off, punching and kicking. Hannah then handcuffs the drakarian, and Hosun delivers the final blast. Once we locate our ship, Keys proposes that we attempt to sabotage the other drakarian ships. We agree, splitting up into two teams. I am in the green team, along with three other crewmates. My team quickly finds a drakarian, Hosun saying, “No witnesses” And cracking it open. Leon uses a wrench and it falls over, lying face down. We enter the ship, and I successfully jam the controls. Once we go back, we are greeted with the pleasant news that the green team succeeded, and head back to our vessel. When we arrive, no one is there. Keys gives us a meaningful look and tells us to stand guard. We go to the bridge, and see fake Garrus. “Welcome back guys!” he says. The real garrus hides behind the shrubs, and we enter the ship, relaxed. Keys goes to the navigation seat and says “Where’s Gideon?” Hannah tries to

convince him he left, but it doesn’t work and we tell the truth. The other crewmates and I quickly notice that Jacob is missing. Where could he be? We take off, and Hosun and Leon make a racket from fighting. They throw one insult off of another, never stopping for a break. All of a sudden, the fake Garrus clocks Felicity, locking her neck in his elbow. “You really think I didn’t know?” he sneers. Leon and Daisy attack Garrus, while some of our crew members turned into drakarians! Garrus hits back, rendering Daisy unstable. Hannah attempts to squirt lemon is his eyes, but it doesn’t work and she hurries off. Everybody has cuts and bruises, some bleeding badly from wounds. Felicity heals Daisy, and she gets up and starts fighting again. Brutus wacks a drakarian, enjoying every moment. “Whoo-hoo! I’m on a roll!” He shouts while ramming his chest into the body. Annie decides to hide in a corner, and spoiler alert, she stays there the whole time. Hosun finally agrees to help Leon, who was knocked unconscious. I try to convince Garrus I am on his side so that I could be able to hurt him from behind. It works, but it also convinced Brutus! Our scientists continue to do more healing, and Leon attempts to scream with his brain to file a distraction. Instead, all of the monsters are even angrier, and come after Leon and Daisy, who was trying to heal him. She brings him to the hallway, rushing for the escape pods. Hannah distributes first-aid kits, but they all fall on the ground.Felicity takes one and heals Brutus, who we desperately need because of his strength. Brutus finally realizes that I am a drakarian in disguise, and doesn’t wack me with his bat.Everybody keeps on fighting,

and I attempt to redistribute the first aid kits to our crew who needs it. Leon punches a fake crewmate, and he collapses, falling to the ground. Weirdly, Brutus pulls out a weapon from his pocket, nobody knowing what it is.Going unnoticed, a drakarian breaks the device and everybody turns back to what they really are, including the chip.Just then, Brutus walks over and creates a large flash, and everybody except fake Garrus is down. Hosun says “No victims” and drives his bat into the flesh. We go find the rest of our crew, putting the drakarians in our prison. Strangely, we still don’t know where Jacob is. We see a little smoke cloud, and see him smoking a large tube. Captain stands there, shocked. Jacob says, “What? Don’t want to hug your older brother?” and walks towards Keys.

Thingy time:

So we casually walked back down the hallway towards the docking place when one of our crew members tripped and let out a scream, that scream alerted one drakarian who was quietly watching us from the ceiling. He stood there watching for a while then he slowly turned around and started to crawl away, then one of our crew members ran away and the Drakarian dropped down from the ceiling but Brutus knocked him out in one single punch. We had to be more sneaky.

Once we got into the hangar where we parked we all figured out it was going to be hard, not only were there a lot of Drakarians whose ship looked the same as all of the other ships. That meant that we had to go one by one to each of the ships while avoiding suspicion from any of the Drakarians, this was going to be hard. We split into groups and checked the ships one by one, sometimes we even sabotaged a couple of the ships then my group came across one Drakarian sitting on a crate fixing an engine and Hosun punched him in the face. The punch fazed him for a second then I grabbed a wrench and wiped him in the face and he fell over unconscious, knowing this wasn't our ship we sabotaged the already broken engine and left. Me and Hosen had a fight verbal because Hosen said he

wanted me dead so I said that back, I wanted to make a reveloution and kill Hosen but after all it turned into a little joke. Finally one of the groups found our ship and we tried to casually walk toward the shop but I could tell it was really easy to tell because there were fifteen people walking towards one ship.

Once we were in the ship we hid the real captains and the crew and went to confront the fake captain, we flew off with Jacob keys flying the ship so we could create some distance between us and the Drakarians. We walked up to the fake Garrison and the fake Garrison realizing he was caught clocked Felicity hard in the head, then I punched him straight in the head and he fell over in surprise and pain, then the crew members that we left on the ship ran up to me and started to punch and kick me.

I realized that Garrison wasn't the only one who was replaced by a Drakarian and many other crew members were Drakarian. As I was being hit and kicked I noticed some fighting around me, Hosen looked so enraged diving at the fake Garrison, Brutus was hitting the people hitting me, Felicity looked badly injured, and someone was hiding in the corner. I also saw what looked like Hanahh jump on

the fake Garrus and try to squeeze lemon juice on him but that also doesn't seem to work and she gets hurt badly, Hosun gets hit by one of fake Garrus's punches and becomes unstable and i saw a couple people healing people. I used my telepathic abilities to try and faze the Drakarians by screaming a vet high pitched noise but it made them madder and they hit me harder. The last thing I thought was “Coward” then a kick hit me in the forehead and I blacked out.

I woke up in a hallway near the escape pods and the fight in front of me, someone was treating some of my injuries and it looked like Christina was picking up med kit’s and there were still people hiding. I quickly stood up and punched a couple of the Drakarians running at us while Brutus was hitting them from behind. Finally when the fight is over our crew heals everybody's injuries and we let the real Garrus and the rest of the crew out, we tie up the Drakarians and we head upstairs.

At the piloting room we open the door and notice that there's a lot of smoke in the room, I wondered if something happened here too but it was just Jacob keys smoking his pipe. He turned his chair around to see his younger

brother and our captain Jaimes Keys and said “No hug for you older brother?,.

Battle for the Bridge Celina Wang

We were going to take back our ship from the imposters. We planned to sneak along the walls and be “stealthy”. That didn’t go very well. We heard the scurrying of Drakarians. Oh, no. A dude that was on the Security team hit the Drakarian in the face (Or was it the chin…?) and it flew over to Brutus, a person tied up the Drakarian. It still could communicate telepathically, so someone knocked it out so it couldn’t communicate. Captain Keys asked where our ship was. After some deep investigation, we found our ship. A group of people decided to sabotage the other Drakarian ships. I’m not very sure how that went. We got on the ship with (the fake!) Garrus, and the majority of people decided to play it cool so that the majority of people decided to play it cool so that (the fake) Garrus doesn’t suspect anything.

Day 7

Felicity Lu

Battle for the Bridge

This part doesn’t go that well. When we try to sneak back onto our ship, apparently one of our crew members is allergic to something(we don’t know what) inside the Drakarian ship so she sneezes and that's when we see a Drakarian on the ceiling. We all try to be extra quiet now and attempt to tiptoe back to our ship. Just when I think we're going to make it, someone trips on me and I try as hard as I can to not scream. The Drakarian seems startled but still doesn’t see us. Nevermind. I take that back. I guess one of our crew members thought it was a good idea to shout “WHAT’S HAPPENING?”. Obviously the Drakarian comes leaping straight at us and lands on the crew member who was screaming. I literally just want to let him die for being so dumb and screaming that so I just stand in place while I watch my other crew members kill the Drakarian. We then run outside before any other Drakarians can come after us. I'm guessing I don’t look in the best condition because one of our crew members heal me right away. Just as we are about to enter our ship Captain Keys suggests something. He askes us if we want to sabotage the 2 other Drakarian ships beside our ship. 6 people including me are in so the 6 of us split into 2 groups called the red group and green group. I’m in the red group so my group sneaks up to the Drakarian ship on the left and thankfully we successfully sabotage the ship! The green team comes back with smiles on their faces so i'm pretty sure they succeeded too.

Our whole crew happily walks back to our ship but when we look inside we see absolutely nobody. As we walk down the hallways of our ship, I can tell that we’re all kind of confused. We keep on walking and finally spot someone on the bridge. It’s fake Garrus who immediately spots us and welcomes us back. We quickly tell real Garrus to hide because we all assume that fake Garrus doesn’t know that we have discovered that he is fake. None of us really know what to do so we all just play it cool even though I can tell one of our crew members really wants to start a fight. While we are taking a break, Captain Keys sits at the navigation center and asks us where Gideon went and we all just stare at Captain Keys awkwardly. Finally one of our communications members says that Gideon left. I know that for a fact that Captain Keys is not dumb and doesn’t belive her one bit. As they start to argue, suddenly fake Garrus clocks a weapon at one of our engineers and I realise that fake Garrus knows that we found out he was not the real Garrus and was playing it cool just like us. Without hesitation another engineer smacks fake Garrus and the other crew members from the Pillar of Autumn start chasing us. I guess they have been cloned too. That’s when I realise that I still havent seen Jacob Keys in a while but I have more important things to do so get that thought out of my head. We are now trying to kill fake Garrus but the clones of the members of the Pillar of Autumn are still chasing us. Everyone is looking not so great so I decide to heal the engineer that was attacked by fake Garrus as fast as I can because she looks like she is dying. Then I see that someone is trying to squeeze lemon in a Drakarians eye which is actually pretty smart but the Drakarian looks unbothered. Both of our security members seem to have done a lot of damage to fake Garrus because fake Garrus looks very weak now.

Then I notice that the Drakarians are mainly attacking one of our crew members who is an engineer. The engineer starts screaming but that seems to only make it worse. The person that I healed a few moments ago seems to have gotten much better because she pulls the engineer up and they both sprint to the hallway. For some reason first aid kits are scattered all over the floor now so I pick up as many as I can and I hand some to Brutus because he has been fighting most of the Drakarians so he looks quite injured. Brutus seems to be going HAM on Drakarians now so I need to give him more med kits. But then, suddenly our ship turns back to normal and it doesn’t look like a Drakarian ship anymore. Then I notice that all the Drakarians are all knocked out which means we’ve won the fight. We all start walking back to the bridge and we see a small trail of smoke. We start following the trail and it leads us to Jacob Keys smoking a cigar and Captain James just stares in shock at his long lost older brother.

Today we leveled up.I got a +1 in though. We were in the drakarian ship trying to escape. Then i hit the mouth of the drakarian and throw it to brutus and he hits it.I took 1 harm in the process.Hannah tries to subdue it and puts handcuffs on it.We knock it out and we are successful. We went into the hangar and there were less drakarians than expected.Captain keys asks us where is our ship.We try to find it.We discern that the middle ship is ours.Captain keys tells us before we go we should try to sabotage ships.Me, Brutus, Christina, Leon, Cindy, and felicity. We split into 2 teams, red and green. We sneak up to the side.Red team got successes and destroyed the engines. There is a drakarian and we had to remove all witnesses. We sabotage the heck out of the ships.I kick it while the others sabotage it pretty good.We go back to our ship and no one was there. We go there and the fake garris asked us how did it go?We played it cool.We get back to our posts and chill out.He goes to the navigations system and asks us where is gideon? We said he left for the other ship.and he doesn’t really believe.Daisy is at the keyboard and daisy gets clocked daisy and he starts to change into drakarian form.Leon hits garris and the crew members start fighting.Garris got harmed by daisy and he kicks him.Daisy took 2 harm and i almost died.hannah grabs out her backpack and she jumps on garris and hannah squirts lemon in his eyes.He tosses hannah and she takes 1 harm.Felicity heals daisy for 2.Now daisy is stabilized.Brutus hits a drakarian and takes 1 harm from a return fire.Annie hides.I help leon and try to hurt garris.I crack him in the back of his head with a batton.I take 2 harm.Christina convinced garris that she is on his side.Celina heals me and she heals 2 harm.Cindy heals leon for 1 harm. The drakarians turn to leon.daisy and leon run away and the drakarians.Hannah throws first aid kits across the Hosun Li

floor.Brutus knows that christina is pretending to be s drakarian.I swing a drakarian and he hits me right back.I take 2 harm.Celina heals me for 2 harm.Cindy tried to heal but failed.Leon punches a crewmate and leon takes one out.Cindy healed leon by 1.Hannah healed me for 1.Felicity heals brutus by 2 harm.Brutus reach into his pocket and he runs at leon and hits everyone.Brutus takes 3, leon takes 2 and daisy takes 1 harm.Everyone goes down except garris.I take 1 harm but i drive my bat into his side and he goes down.We succure the drakarian in our prison. We walk back to bridge and jacob keys is no tin the bridge and we walk in to cockpit and he says:well that took you long enough and walked towards them.

Battle for the Bridge Cindy Hu

All I remember about this day was the worst parts of it. I remember entering the room and finding our commander, WGarrus Vakarian and the Karma’s ship commander, Miranda Reynolds. After determining they were the real commanders, we freaked cause that meant the one on our ship was a drakarian! We also added that part in our message to the Karma’s crew. We were anxious to get back and take control of our ship once again. We made a very ‘stealthy’ trip to the ship hanger. We went on missions to sabotage the attack ships, some successful and some not. In the end, we managed to get back to our ship after a whole battle and stuff. We weren’t sure what would happen next though. And that’s all I remember.

Daisy Chen

Battle For The Bridge

We decided that we should sneak out of the dungeon. 4 people kept on making noises and attracting Drakarain. We got 1 Drakarian’s attention and we cuffed that Drakarian and knocked him out. We went out and sabotaged 2 ships. We went back to our ship and the fake Garus greeted us. We decided to play it cool until the ship took off, we played cool again When I went back to my room, Garus attacked me from behind. He knew that we knew that he’s fake. I tried to hit him back, but it barely took any damage but he attacked me again! Leon, who is beside me, tried to attack him but Garus dodge and attack him. There was a fake crew all along!! They all turned into Drakarians and attacked! Our crew was fighting, some of the scientists came and healed Leon and I. I grabbed Leon and rushed down into the hallways. I can see in the corners of my eyes that Garus is following us. The other Drakarians are defeated, there is just Garus. We all attacked him. Finally, he is defeated. We went into the engineering room and saw Jacob (shady man). He was like “No hugs for your older brother?” to Captain Keys.

Battle for the Bridge Anneaka Zhou

There was a lot of fighting involved and healing today. We also tried to sabotage the Drakarian ship. We tried ruining the engines and other stuff. When Daisy was just looking at some stuff, “Garrus” started attacking her and she was very close to dying. The boys then started sort of fighting each other… Yeah… that wasn’t a very good scene. Later we took turns doing different things. I mostly did healing and no fighting. Somehow we lost a lot of health during the battle. But then somehow Felicity and Cindy still had full health and I had 6. Most of us had 5 health or less. Today went OK, I can’t say it was very good but it wasn’t too bad either (it was actually pretty bad). I’m not sure whether or not I did good in the battle but I did help so that counts. I’m pretty sure our mission was to befriend the Drakarians but since we attacked them so much I don't think that’s going to be happening. Our time is running out and we only have a few days left until we have to go back to earth but I hope we might at least do something. Right now, everything is not really working the way we want. I am pretty excited to go back home though. I ran out of chips yesterday and I can’t survive that much longer without chips. At least I have one bottle of sprite left which I was saving for the last day. We also did some sneaky stuff and nothing else really.

CHAPTER EIGHT The Final Βαττλε

The Final Battle Christina Ye

I guess this all happened in 2 days

As we get further away from the cocoon, the drakarian cloaking device stutters and comes to a stop. Now, our ship is fully revealed as the drakarian enemy. The main ship charges toward us, supported by three attack ships in a triangular from. We turn on our engines, pacing forward a bit, the firing at the head of the cocoon. Our sister ship does the same thing, as the mini attack ships circling around us. We shot at the one closest to us, noticing it did much more damage than our first battle with the drakarians. The engineers put it into a different perspective: health bars. Before we only dealt one quarter damage, but now, with our upgraded ship, we deal half and can take an attack ship down in around 2 shots. We keep on moving forward, getting closer and closer to the main ship. An attack ship shoots us, followed by another. Corned, we decide to shoot the one that was already damaged, and it crumbles into pieces. “Awesome!” Captain Keys yells. Given he hasn’t blown up a drakarian ship this whole mission, his reaction is what each of us thought at the beginning. Garrus stands there, not knowing what to expect. Reading his mind, we asari find that he is surprised. Garrus wonders how we got so strong in battle, and after all, we would have to defend ourselves from the millions of times we almost died. Moving on, Karma sends a radio message saying that the death laser is pointing at us. We look up, and sure enough, it stares right into the center of our ship. As the laser cannon slowly rises, we think of a plan as the “vroom vroom” grows louder and

louder. We decide to turn left, remembering our weekly notes from Karma at the worst possible time. Leon says “ Aren’t we supposed to move forwards or ba-” A loud boom explodes from the cocoon, probably seen across the entire galaxy. It hits our ship square in the middle, our engineers quickly getting to work. Karma continues to fire at the main ship, and then the doors split open. Escape pods come out of the cocoon, revealing a greenish residue on the inside of the ship. We continue to battle with the mini vessels, when three more emerge from and start to circle. Leon, after long deliberation, goes to investigate the inside of an attack ship, so he takes an escape pod and attempts to navigate. Our ship’s cannons quickly demolish another ship, Leon yelling a strangled “CoWaBuNgA!” , hoping to reach the spirit of Gideon to guide him throughout the flight. Against the odds, it works and he smashed into the attack ship. Karma points directly at the mini vessel that Leon is on, gearing up for attack. We panic and send out a message to Karma, just making it across. They get it and turn to the other ship and fire. Luckily, two of the ships were the ones we sabotaged, so they blew up. The death laser points at us once again, so we move backwards like smart folk and it does minimal damage. Meanwhile, Leon informs us what he’s doing through the radio, “I’m going into the engine room to see if I can control the ship.” He tells us about the brain tubes that everyone is wearing and finds one in the engine room. It seemed to be an emergency override, and he plugged it into his brain. Sounds disgusting, by the way. He manages to take over! Meanwhile, we work our way around the attack ships and recieve various

messages from Leon. All of a sudden, his signal stops, and he yells “HALP!” We look out our window to see him floating in space wearing his famous green spacesuit. Karma flies toward Leon, trying to rescue him. For some reason we consider leaving him in space, but when Karma came, we immediately knew we had to rescue Leon. He activates a booster in his jacket, moving forward. He lets out a strained “Wheee e ”and we go get him. Jacob flys extremely well and he docks safely, upset that, for some reason, he couldn’t die. Our scientists heal him, then Captain Keys calls us in. “After all of this, I think now is the right time to head home. Go to your cabins. We will be leaving in a matter of minutes.” Though I am glad we are going to earth, part of me will always miss my adventures with the team. All of us go back to our cabins and start organizing our stuff. Our ship and Karma link and slowly pass the neutral zone, into the safe and busy federation space. Central command comes into the radar, and we are quick to inform them of what happened. The drakarians apparently sent a message, saying they had no involvement and it was probably a rogue organization. They apologized, but refused to answer any further questions. Captain Keys is frustrated. All the work we do is practically unheard of, kept secret to prevent years of war. He knows it’s for the better, but sometimes you wish people would know about the outer world. We realize that that is exactly the reason Jacob left, it was because all of his work basically felt like nothing in the end. We dock at the command station, our ship going down into normal lockdown custody. This is to check for any viruses, and deal with

the drakarians in our prison. Us communications talk with the officials, telling them about the drakarians. Suddenly, something comes to mind. We learned that they had a fallback plan, in case the drakarians didn’t make it back to earth. Just then, Hosun was walking toward a strange beeping sound, walked in, and there was a bomb. He was quick to tell us, and the crew began devising a plan. But planmaking was interrupted shortly, as we found a keypad engraved on the back. Why again? This time we have the alphabet, but we still need to guess the pass code. The only difference is that there is a timer. After various guesses, we learn that guessing single letters decreases the timer by one minute, but actual words do not. Somebody decided to guess vegetable, which gave us the single laugh in this stressful moment. It says “Disarm”, and asks us for the rest. After a while, we sent a message to central command telling people to evacuate. After all of this, we can’t protect ourselves from a bomb? The clock ticks in the background, many of us running out of ideas. I can remember everything so vividly, people wanting to run, giving up. We finally guess more letters, the code looking like N O E _ P _ O _ E. Running out of time, we realize that we likely won’t make it out. As it comes down to the last five seconds, the beeps get louder and louder. “4...3...2..o-” “WAIT! Try no explode!” Nobody remembers who said it, but anything at this point was better than nothing. We type it in, salvaging every moment. It lets out a beep, and then the screen fades away. We did it! Hugs go all around, laughing and cheering. That, my folks, is the end of this story.

Leon Jin

Final Battle I guess: After one emotional moment with Captain jaimes keys and his older brother Jacob Keys we found out that our cloaking device shut off so we were back to normal, but then three mini Drakarian ships flew out of the big one and shot at us. There was another battle about to start and I was just shocked at how many mini ships the Drakarians had because we sabotaged a whole hanger and they still had more, we saw the Karma getting attacked too as we shot back at the incoming attack craft. From the last battle the Karma sent us a message telling us that they took the escape pods and haijaked the Drakarians ships, so I started to devise a plan to do something like that. I told everybody what I was going to do but no one else wanted to do it so I was on my own.

I climbed into an escape pod and flew towards one of the three mini Drakarian ships just as our ship blew up one of them. I was surprised that I actually made it to the Drakarian ship without blowing up or something, my escape pod crashed into the side of the mini Drakarian ship and I climbed out expecting a fight but all I saw were Drakarians with their weird brain tubes attached to their heads. I wondered if i should kill them but I was outnumbered 3 to 1 so I slowly creeped into their engine

room and saw an extra pair of brain tubes and wondered what they were used for, I attached them to my head and I felt a prickle poke my head then the room disappeared and all I saw was the battle around me.

I thought about moving forward but before I even tried doing that the ship lurched forwards, I realized that the brain tubes are how the Drakarians control everything so I moved forward again then I got pushed out of control and someone else took control of the ship and fired at the S.S Storm Falcon. The Drakarians could still control the ship! I hoped they just thought that it was just a glitch or an accident so they wouldn't come and cheek the room I was in and pulled the tubes out from my head, I slowly creeped toward the Drakarians flying the ship and thought “ If I want complete control of the ship and save my crew I must kill them so I tried to punch the big one who looked like he was doing most of the work but he just pulled of the tubes and faces me with a menacing smile. I rushed back to the engine room with the Drakarians hot on my tail slammed the door right in their faces and quickly devised a plan, I plugged the brain tubes back into my head and flipped the ship upside down, I felt like I had complete control of the ship and I could do anything so I noticed that there were debes floating around meaning our ship must of destroyed

the mini Drakarian ships but there was still the huge Drakarian ship looming over every one. I faced the ship and shot at it, I shot missiles and small lazar bullets at the ship and on my sides I saw the S.S Storm Falcon and the Karma shooting too, I thought “ if we keep this up we can win this battle but right on my third volley of missiles i felt small arms grabbing me and pulling me out of the system.

I came face to face with many small Drakarian and one big one, I tried to fight back but they were holding me down and the big one was pulling me somewhere by my head tentacles. I was lifted up by the Drakarians and then thrown out of an open airlock into space, I was floating around then I saw the Karma fly up to me with Gideon at the wheel and I saw him shout “COWABUNGA!!!” then I narrowly avoided being severd by their ship, I tried to drift further away from the Karma not wanting to die. Finally my ship picked me up and brought me inside, they healed me a bit from my injuries on the Drakarian ship and said that they blew up all of the Drakarian ships and they won the hard fought battle. We were going home.

We activated the newly fixed slipstream(I still don’t know what its called) and zoomed back into the safety of

home sweet Federation space, once we got to the command center we had to go on a mini quarantine to make sure we didn't bring home any weird space viruses. Everyone was just chillin when Hosun broke into the room screaming “BOMB BOMB THERE'S A BOMB RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN”, we all went to check it out at there actually was a bomb. There was also a small panel with some Drakarian letters on it, after we translated it with the alphabet bet already figured out it read “Disarm”, all we had to do was find out a nine word password to disarm the bomb and save our lives and everybody elses on the command center.

We started by putting in vowels cause every word has one and luckily we got one, but once we placed one letter a twenty-minute timer went off so now there was a time limit. We tried word after word but we couldn't seem to get it and also everytime we put in a letter it subtracted one minute from the timer, after a while we contacted the command center ordering them to evacuate the station just in case we couldn't crack the code. In the last five minutes everybody was panicking, we tried every work we could think of from Drakarian to Vegetable but they just didn't work, in the final minute everybody was straight up dying and everybody was screaming out words and

numbers out loud in distress. Finally in the last ten seconds we typed the word “NoExplode” in and it worked, and we were saved. After all this mess I went to cheek in on my family and my little sister, I learned that the Drakarian attack wasn't planned by the Drakarian government and must have been a separate group of rebels or something else like that. Then after a week I flew off into an unexplored jungle planet and went hiking through the mysterious forest paths. I’ve always loved exploring and conquering my fears, so I also planned on exploring an underwater planet to conquer my fear of water. I also like sushi!!! HAHAHAHAHA IM FINALLY DONE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The Final Βαττλε(?) Celina Wang I think we're now going to battle? It was a blur. I think all I was doing was maybe standing around? Or maybe screaming? But we destroyed the Cocoon. I wasn’t paying attention to anything. We were flying back to Federation space. Sweet relief! Finally, away from all that danger and stuff! At least I thought… We got back to Federation space, only to get information that there was a bomb. Oh, just great! We come back from a dangerous mission in space, almost gets killed, and comes back to a bomb in Federation space?! Just great! Bad luck I guess. Well thanks for the surprise Drakarians. So much for being friends. The Drakarians that attacked us! Well, I guess we have to disarm the bomb. It was a puzzle again!

Day 8

Felicity Lu

The Final Battle

While Jacob and Captain Keys have a side conversation, we start to heal each other since our crew is not looking so good after the fight with the Drakarians. But suddenly goes off which means an enemy is coming close to us. We look and see what right in front of us is the cocoon and 3 smaller alien ships. I realise that our ship doesn't look like the cocoon anymore so the Drakarian must know that we’re not one of them. We start shooting one of the small ships and we figure out that since we upgraded our ship, our weapons are much stronger now so it only takes 2 hits to destroy a small alien ship. Our crew easily destroys the ship we were aiming at and both our commanders seem pretty impressed with our skills but right after that, we forget to move forwards or backwards so the cocoon aims their death lazar at us and our ship takes extra damage. We quickly repair our ship and then fire at the cocoon. Right after we do that, 2 more small Drakarian ships come out of the cocoon for backup. I have no idea why but an engineer from our crew decides to hop into an escape vessel and zoom to the small alien ship that the Karma was firing at. I look through the window and he seems to not be dead. Quickly, one of our communication members sends a message to the karma telling them not to shoot that ship anymore because one of our crew members is in it. Suddenly, an alien spaceship just blows up and I wonder why until I realise it must have been the spaceship we sabotaged a while ago.

While this happens, the cocoon fires the death lazar at us again but this time we jerk our ship to the left and then zoom forwards so the lazar only slightly damages the wing of the SS Storm Falcon. I look back to see how the engineer on the alien ship is doing and it looks like he has fully taken control over the Drakarian ship he is in. But as I look back I see that the cocoon has opened in half and exploded creating a humongous explosion that blinds my eyes. Moments after the explosion stopped, I see that the engineer must have been thrown off the small alien ship he was on because he is drifting in space. The Karma zooms after him but apparently the crew member really doesn’t want to be with our sister ship because he activates his jet pack and flies away. We rescue him and I heal him right away. Captain Keys decides that it's finally time to head home. As we enter federation space, I know that we are safe now. When we arrive back, we report to Central Command about what happened. But Central Command explains that the Drakarians state that they didn’t mean for this to happen. We are all pretty frustrated when we hear this but I know it's better this way. After that, we head into our ship and Central Command puts it in lock down mode which basically means nobody can get in or out of the ship within 2 hours. It’s necessary because we might have brought back some virus or something. I don’t mind because I’m used to this procedure. We brought back some Drakarian hostages who are also in lock down mode with us and the communication crew talks to them. But the communications crew informs us the Drakarians say that since they didn’t win the fight, there is now a bomb in our ship that we are CURRENTLY IN!! We quickly look around and we almost find

it immediately because it’s ginormous. No doubt, it is definitely the largest explosive I have ever seen in my life. We try not to panic because there is a key pad and all we have to do is put in the correct code. We think the code might be “explosive” so we type that in. I guess it’s incorrect because a 20 minute timer is activated which means we have 20 more minutes to figure out the code or else we get blown up. While we are all thinking, a communication member contacts central control and explains what's going on. Central control instructs everyone around us to evacuate this area. I’m freaking out on the inside but I try to look undisturbed on the outside. Honestly, saying that we did it in the nick of time is an understatement because we literally solved the code at the last second which was “noexpload”. After 2 hours of lock down mode, I get out of the SS Storm Falcon and say one last goodbye to my colleagues, commanders and Central Command. On my way back home, I say to myself what

an adventure…

Tired, I slowly close my eyes and drift to sleep.

The Final Battle Cindy Hu

As we flew the ship out of the cave area, the Drakarians chased after us, firing their dangerous weapons. Once we were a safe distance away, we started firing back, rotating between that, repairing the ship and moving around. I can hardly remember the status update we got upon returning to Federation Space. We also learned that their was a bomb hidden on board our ship. Disarming the nasty bomb planted by enemy drakarians wasn’t easy. All the passwords we thought of like ‘drakarian’ and ‘explosive’ were wrong. We voted ‘explosive’ and stopped entering the whole thing just in time. All the spaces were red, meaning that the password was definitely wrong. We started using the same technique as our previous attempt with drakarian passwords; trying the most likeliest letters such as vowels. We guessed many different letters until they were all green, meaning we had defused the bomb planted by our enemies. We were all extremely happy. I was happy to go back to my calm and generally peaceful life back on Earth. The SS Storm Falcon’s mission wasn’t what we expected but it was most definitely exciting. I could live without such fun and intense missions for a while and enjoy life.

The Final Βαττλε Anneaka Zhou Today, we had our last space battle with the Drakarian ship. It didn’t go too well. Well, at the beginning it did but then after it started falling apart. Leon decided to crash one of the escape pods into a mini-ship thus minusing 1 health from him. Then we had to go through the trouble of picking Leon up and then we started to get bad cooperation and then we found the brain tubes the Karma ship was talking about. We also found another pin code. So annoying. There was a timer and the password was noexplode. Drakarians suck. Anyways, since we are going home now, the first thing I 100% must do, is to buy 10 more bags of potato chips and sweet chili Doritos. I also need to check how stale my other chips are. I accidentally left a few bags open so I’m going to just throw them out. I’m also going to call my friends (who are not on the SS Storm Falcon) for a game night on Saturday. I haven’t had one in over a month already. I also need to stock on drinks and more snacks. Also junk food ingredients. I like making my own junk food and desserts. I also want to go to Cuba again.
