Safety First. Bulls-Eyes Second. Before using this equipment, please abide by all of the following safety guidelines and warnings. Consult your Authorized Mathews® Retailer with questions. To ensure your personal safety and the safety of those around you, it is necessary that you READ, UNDERSTAND and FOLLOW all warnings and safety precautions prior to using or working on your bow or any archery equipment used with the bow. WARNING: This bow is intended strictly for recreational use only. The warnings that follow are specifically directed to the use of the bow. WARNING: Mathews® Incorporated shall not be liable for injuries suffered or caused by misuse, unsafe or improper arrow and bow combinations or for injuries sustained when using an altered or modified bow or by un-conventional use. WARNING: Never work on, or attempt to shoot your Mathews® bow while on medication that may impair your judgment, physical abilities, or reflexes. Never work on, or attempt to shoot your Mathews® bow while under the influence or while consuming drugs or alcohol. Doing so can result in damage to the bow, inflict serious injury or even death to yourself or others.
Equipment Warnings NOTICE: While the warnings contained herein relate specifically to the bow and arrow, the majority of bows produced are used in bow hunting situations where other types of equipment and accessories are used. If you are a bow hunter or archer, it is highly recommended that you become knowledgeable of the recommendations and warnings that are associated with all equipment that you use for bow hunting and archery.
Maintenance and Repair of Your Mathews® Bow WARNING: Your Mathews® bow is a precision instrument that requires specific tools and expertise. Accordingly, Mathews® recommends that all maintenance and repair of your Mathews® bow be perfomed by an Authorized Mathews® Retailer. Failure to comply with this warning may cause damage to your bow and may inflict serious injury or even death and may void your warranty. Mathews® shall not be held liable if this warning is ignored.
Maintenance and Repair of Your Mathews® Bow WARNING: NEVER EXPOSE YOUR BOW TO EXTREME HEAT OR PROLONGED MOISTURE. Excessive heat such as that experienced on a sunny day inside a closed vehicle could cause component failure. Prolonged storage in a hot, dry attic or damp basement could also be damaging. Keep your bow clean and dry and store the bow properly when it’s not in use. Damage caused by extreme exposure to heat or the elements will not be covered under warranty and could inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you.
Prior to Shooting Your Bow WARNING: CAREFULLY INSPECT YOUR BOW BEFORE EACH USE. ALWAYS be sure that you take the following actions before each use of your bow: > Carefully inspect the condition of the bowstring and cable(s). > Carefully inspect the condition of the string servings, nocking point or string loop. > Carefully inspect that the limbs, cams and riser are in proper condition and orientation. > Always keep your bow string and cable(s) waxed. > Damaged strings and cable(s) will adversely affect the performance of your bow and could result in further damage to other bow components and may inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you. Before use, always inspect the following for damage: bow string and cable(s), arrows, nocks, fletching, arrow rest, bow sight, and all other accessories. Any damaged bow parts or accessories should be reported to your Authorized Mathews® Retailer for inspection or replacement. WARNING: Use extreme caution when handling sharp objects or arrows equipped with broadheads around the bow’s string and cable(s). If a string or cable is cut or frayed it should be replaced immediately. A cut string or cable(s) can result in instantaneous separation and may inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you. WARNING: Always follow the inspection recommendations provided by the manufacturer of your arrows. Inspect your arrows and nocks regularly or preferably before each use. Immediately discard any dented, split, splintered or otherwise damaged arrows. Replace cracked, damaged or broken nocks. NEVER SHOOT A DAMAGED ARROW. Shooting a damaged arrow may cause a dry-fire and inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you.
Prior to Shooting Your Bow (cont.) WARNING: Always shoot the recommended minimum arrow weight. Do not shoot an arrow weighing less than five grains for every pound of draw weight. For example, if your bow is set at 70 lbs. do not shoot an arrow weighing less than 350 grains. Shooting an arrow below five grains per pound of the bows draw weight can cause damage to your bow and may inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you. Damage caused by shooting an arrow that is too light will not be covered under warranty. Shooting an underweight arrow has an effect similar to that of a dry-fire and may inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you. If you are unsure about the arrow compliance to your bow, contact your Authorized Mathews® Retailer or the arrow manufacturer. WARNING: NEVER DRY-FIRE YOUR BOW. Dry-firing is when the bow string is drawn and released without an arrow nocked to the string. If you dry-fire your bow it may severely reduce the life expectancy of the bow and may cause immediate damage to the bow and may inflict serious injury to yourself and those around you. Download the Tag Reader App with your smart phone or visit mathewsinc.com/dryfire to learn more about the types of dry-fires, what to do in the event of a dry-fire and how to avoid dry-fires.
Shooting Your Bow WARNING: ALWAYS BE SAFE! NEVER shoot an arrow straight up. NEVER draw or attempt to shoot your bow until you are sure that no part of the bow can come into contact with another object during the shooting process. DO NOT draw the bow beyond its specified draw length. NEVER point or aim a drawn bow at another person or at any object you do not intend to shoot. NEVER allow anyone to draw your bow without careful instruction. WARNING: ALWAYS BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET. Make sure that there are no people, livestock, buildings, roads or other objects behind or near your target. Be sure that your backstop is large enough to catch a stray arrow and that it is thick enough that the arrow cannot completely penetrate through it. When shooting with others, never retrieve arrows or allow others to retrieve arrows until all arrows have been shot and the shooting lane is clear.
At Your Service...Pro Shop Expertise. For the most reliable service and expertise, please consult your local Authorized Mathews® Retailer for technical services including the following: > Adjusting draw length and draw weight > Installing string accessories, such as peep sight, nocks, loops, etc. > Replacing and servicing Zebra® Trophy™ Bowstring and Cable(s) > Tuning and sighting in your bow > Correct arrow selection > Mounting new accessories > Coordinating warranty repairs > Proper technique and setup for pressing bows
Draw Weight Adjustment Mathews® bows have approximately a ten pound range of weight reduction from the bow’s peak weight (example: if the bow has a peak weight of 70 pounds, it can be adjusted as low as 60 pounds). Draw weight adjustments are made using either a 3/16”or 7/32” Allen Wrench. Turn the limb bolt clockwise to increase the draw weight and counter-clockwise to decrease the weight. Both limb bolts must be adjusted equally or the bow may become out of tune/synchronization. The limb bolt should be snug. Do not over-tighten. Each rotation equals approximately 2 to 4 pounds of draw weight. Consult your Authorized Mathews® Retailer for the maximum number of rotations your bow can be decreased.
SphereLock™ Limb Bolt Assembly
Clockwise Rotation Increases Draw Weight
Counter-Clockwise Rotation Decreases Draw Weight
Storing Your Bow
Avoid storing your bow for extended periods of time in areas subject to extreme heat, such as the trunk of a vehicle or in a garage. Damage to your limbs, strings, and other parts of the bow caused by extreme heat, may not be covered under the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty. If your bow is exposed to moisture, be sure it is completely dry before storing it. Do not use solvents, sprays or cleaners such as acetone or mineral spirits, on or around your bow, as they may adversely affect the finish. Rather, use a damp cloth to clean. Your Mathews® bow requires no lubrication. All bushings are self lubricating or have sealed ball bearings.
Periodically Check Strings and Cables
Always inspect your bow for frayed strings and cables. Replace damaged strings and cables immediately. The Mathews® Zebra® Trophy™ Bowstring and Cable on your Mathews® should be waxed with Zebra® High Performance String Wax or a silicone based wax. By replacing your bowstrings with Mathews® Zebra® Trophy™ Bowstring & Cable(s) you will continue to enjoy the maximum performance & efficiencies of your bow as it was designed.

Bushings are Self-Lubricating
The Mathews ® Focus® Grip is one of the most accurate grips on the market. Its patent pending “focus ridge” optimizes hand placement, and minimizes hand torque by keeping pressure in the center of the grip, unlike flat top grips that move pressure to the outside edge which increases hand torque.
When attached to the front of the riser, the Focus ® Thermal Shield helps keep your fingers warm in frigid weather. Easily attaches in minutes with adhesive tape included with Thermal Shield.
Featuring Smart Rest Technology™ the Mathews® Ultra-Rest™ knows when to drop when fired, not when letting down. With total fletching clearance, full arrow containment and Mathews® Harmonic Damping® to remove excess vibration and noise, the Mathews® Ultra-Rest™ means your Mathews® will perform to its full potential. And with the custom Mathews® Mounting Bar, the fit is perfectly tailored for your Mathews® bow. Available in Lost Camo® and Black.
Fits most Mathews ® bows.
HARMONIC STABILIZER HARMONIC STABILIZER LITE

Tuned to be out of phase with longer risers, the Harmonic Stabilizer® reduces post-release vibration by up to 75%, and the New Harmonic Stabilizer® Lite is nearly 70% lighter than the original.
The Dead End ™ drastically reduces residual vibration and virtually eliminates post-release noise. Fits most bows currently equipped with a rear stabilizer bushing and installs in minutes.
