Moderate acute malnutrition (MAM) affects children through a process called wasting, a condition thought to affect one in ten children in low-income or developing countries. Higher energy and more nutrient-dense foods should be consumed to improve nutritional status of young, malnourished children and pregnant and lactating women.

Super Cereal Plus is a preferred product to treat moderate acute malnutrition in young children and pregnant and lactating women. It's an evidence-based malnutrition product to complement breastfeeding (6-24 months) or as a nutritional supplement.
