The Eye of Iceland
‘The Eye of Iceland’ is my competition entry to the international Builder Iceland movie pavilion, for which I have been shortlisted. The brief for the competition was to create a striking movie pavilion in a very remote region of Iceland.
I started my concept exploration by considering our interaction with movies, which led me to incorporate the eye as a dynamic design element. By utilizing the eye’s shape as the foundational structure for the pavilion, my intention was to enhance its visual appeal. Furthermore, I chose to position the pavilion underground, intentionally creating an element of mystery and making it less discernible from a distance.
