Memorial Day Flag Planting and Parades

MAST showed its patriotic spirit by taking part in the Atlantic Highlands and Keansburg parades. Additionally, cadets volunteered in association with American Legion Post 141, based in Atlantic Highlands, to plant flags in Bay View Cemetery. Again, it was fantastic to see MAST come together as a school to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

COA Student Summit and Ocean Fun Day

The Research and NHS students worked together to make the Clean Ocean Action Student Summit and Ocean Fun Day a success! At Student Summit, MASTies presented to middle schoolers about topics ranging from climate change to terrapins. They assisted COA volunteers with field activities like beach cleanups, botany walks, and seining. Ocean Fun Day was filled with kids of all ages. The touch tank was a hit with kids learning about different sea creatures while delving into the cold waters by themselves. The sea creature mascots walked around and entertained the crowd, taking pictures and waving their fins. Overall, the two events were a success.

Mr. Valente

Mr. Valente, MAST’s greatest physics teacher of 35 years, is retiring. He was an inspiration to every student enrolled in his classes and many teachers as well. He instilled a strong understanding of physics through his amazing demonstrations, labs, and lessons. We all hope you have a great retirement and that physics always stays with you. We thank you for your dedication to teaching, and we are lucky to have had you as our physics teacher.

PHYSICS IS PHUN!

As you are well aware, final exams are rapidly approaching. During this stressful time, make sure to make time for yourself. Spend time studying but also spend time to take care of your mental health. After all, your mindset during a test is key to your performance.
