VISION

After being built in 2014, this home located on Country Club Drive in Robinson Township, PA, was ready for its first remodel. The homeowners reached out to Master Remodelers and expressed the desire to transform their 2,500 square foot empty basement into an elegant, multifunctional living and entertaining space.

Their vision included an open floor plan featuring a wet bar with bar seating, TV views from every angle, pool table, wine cellar with tasting area, home gym, full bathroom, and plenty of storage

As for design style, the homeowners described their personal preference for Old World aesthetics and a fondness for wood flooring and unique ceilings. Overall, they wished to achieve a timeless and elegant space that exudes sophistication, where they may efficiently host parties, lively hangouts, and memorable gatherings for years to come

A WELL-CRAFTED PLAN

The primary challenge for Master Remodelers was to create a beautiful space that met the clients’ requirements while working around unmovable bearing walls, poles, and beams.

To conceal the poles and bearing walls, clever positioning of pillars was employed. The basement ceiling height allowed for the incorporation of a coffered ceiling in the main living area and an octagonal tray ceiling over the billiard room sitting area. These elements serve the purpose of simultaneously concealing ductwork while adding the sophisticated visual interest that the clients desired.

Special considerations also had to be made for the billiard room. For example, the space needed to accommodate the size of the table and the length of the pool cues so that there would be enough room around the table to avoid hitting a wall with the cue sticks.

EXECUTED PRECISELY

The navy color chosen for the walls gives the atmosphere of a classic pool hall but is lightened up with white wainscoting. The trim and entryway columns are custom, as is the cue and rack storage compartment.

According to Regis McQuaide, owner of Master Remodelers, “Nothing is massproduced. Every day is different. Everything we do is customized.”

SEE FOR YOURSELF

An unfinished basement that began as a blank space, was transformed into an expertly designed and crafted, award winning multi use entertainment haven that communicates a high-end contemporary style against a timeless backdrop.
