The Brown Swiss breed is the 3rd dairy breed with 6 million Brown cattle worldwide and nearly 600 000 cows on official milk record, originated from the Alps. Brown Swiss is a milk oriented dual-purpose breed with a high lifetime production, great milk quality and superior longevity. Her robustness and heat tolerance contribute to her great adaptability to any climate and management conditions.

Brown Swiss is raised for its ideal balance between milk volumes and components, longevity, functionality, and adaptability, which makes it a very attractive and economically interesting cow.
It is a dual-purpose breed, more milk oriented with the highest lifetime production. Brown Swiss milk is a noble raw material to process high quality products, especially cheeses thanks to a high proportion of BB kappa and A2A2 beta caseins.
