w e l c o me The weather may have turned cold in the Roaring Fork Valley, but the local real estate market remains hot. Across the board, there is strong market activity and we are confident in other market indicators like increased speculative building, low supply of vacant land, vacation rental bookings are very high, and vacancies in long term rentals are incredibly low. We look forward to seeing what 2015 will bring. The excitement among our broker associates at Coldwell Banker Mason Morse (CBMM) is palpable as 2014 comes to a close. It has been a year of milestones. In December, we opened our newest office in Snowmass Village, right next to the Gondola. The office opening precedes the expected completion of our Aspen office remodel next spring. Earlier this year, we launched a robust new website, masonmorse.com, giving our clients the ability to search properties and learn about neighborhoods, statistics, nearby restaurants and schools. We also added a searchable video platform—just type in a keyword, location or click one of the tabs to see Previews properties, community highlights or the fun ski channel. Promoting the ski lifestyle is something we’re passionate about at CBMM, and that is why we kicked off our Winter Photo Contest on CBMMSki.com. Now through April 19, 2015, we’re asking skiers to snap a pic of themselves on the mountain using hashtag #AspenSkiSelfie for a chance to win a 2015-2016 season ski pass and other weekly prizes. The contest is fun, interactive and just another example of how we’re carving our own trail as a fully digital real estate company. Speaking of trails, we have expanded our community presence this year. In November, we sponsored the Women’s FIS Winternational World Cup in Aspen. We’ve also continued the CBMM tracks program, our semi-private skier’s race lane for CBMM clients. This year marks the second year we have sponsored Olympic alpine ski racer Alice McKennis on the U.S. Ski Team. Other local winter events and initiatives we support include: Coldwell Banker Mason Morse Town Race Series, Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club’s National Team Athlete Grant and the AJAX Cup. Many of the upcoming winter events we support can be found on pg. 112. Giving back is in our DNA, and extends far beyond the hill. Our CBMM non-profit committee has made donations to 33 local organizations this year, and continues to identify philanthropies that make a difference in our valley. As we look ahead to 2015, the future looks bright. We have six offices from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. We have an unmatched online and physical presence in the community.
