LIFT-UP is a 39-year old non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing humanitarian essentials while creating a bridge to personal empowerment and self-reliance. The primary focus is on providing food to those in need through a variety of programs including fixed food pantries and mobile drive-through sites. Service is provided in Aspen, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Rifle and Parachute. Healthy fresh produce & meat purchased from local farms and ranches through the LIFT-UP Farm to Food Pantry program, as well as items from the Grocery Rescue program are added to non-perishable food items that have been both received through food drives and purchased. LIFT-UP Meal Monkey program provides lunches to children aged 18 & under on Fridays in the RE-2 School District when there is no school in session. The LIFT-UP Extended Table (Soup Kitchens) offers prepared meal options Monday through Friday in Glenwood Springs and on Tuesday and Thursdays in Rifle. The LIFT-UP Rifle Thrift Store profits help raise funds for food programs. Volunteers are key to the success of providing service throughout the valley.
