Coldwell Banker Mason Morse Awards Grant to Elite Aspen Valley Athletes For the third consecutive year, leading luxury real estate brokerage grants $25,000 to ski and snowboarders ASPEN, CO – Coldwell Banker Mason Morse Real Estate, the #1 independently owned and operated Coldwell Banker office in Colorado, is proud to announce it has awarded a $25,000.00 grant to nine current and former Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club (AVSC) athletes. This is the third consecutive year Coldwell Banker Mason Morse has awarded the vital grant to elite athletes in the area.
Grant recipients are required to be currently training with a U.S. ski or snowboard team, have trained with the AVSC for at least two years and are strong ambassadors for the organization, and are in need of financial assistance in order to continue training. The recipients of this year’s grant include Kevin Burton, Noah Hoffman, Andrew Kurka, Stephen Lawler, Melanie Schwartz, Jamie Stanton, Tyler Walker, Thomas Walsh, and Galena Wardle. “We’re thrilled that this grant will help alleviate some of the financial burden for these talented athletes pursuing their dreams of competing at the highest levels in the world,” said Will Herndon, President and CFO of Coldwell Banker Mason Morse. “Only a few athletes are fully supported by the National Team, while most have to self-fund their training, travel and race expenses, even when competing at the World Cup level.” The AVSC has been teaching children and young adults winter sports since its founding in 1937. As Roaring Fork Vally’s oldest and largest non-profit organization for youth, AVSC has taught generations of local children the very sports that revitalized the Aspen/Snowmass area. Through AVSC, children and teens experience the mountains in winter, build character, challenge themselves and make new friends.
