The Aspen Homeless Shelter services consist of three programs: The Day Center, the Evening Meal Program, and The Winter Overnight Shelter. These services are fulfilling the important community need of keeping the most vulnerable citizens in Aspen and Pitkin County alive, safe, sheltered, and fed while significantly reducing their impact on law enforcement, the courts, the hospital emergency room and other community services and providing behavior management in the community. Without the Aspen Homeless Shelter’s programs providing a temporary home, homeless individuals would be left to fend for themselves when their needs dictate some immediate solution.
