Speculative Dwelling - A residential project in collaboration with brg3s. The project offered a realistic design experience with an infill project. Assigned one of 6 lots, I designed a single family residence in a limited build-able area. The infills would become a small community.
4
The concept for the speculative dwelling project was to focus on light and connection. This was achieved by highlighting natural light’s ability of fostering connection. In one aspect it being physical connection through circulation. While in another it is as personal connection to the space and connection to others through experience.

Design Related Photography - A collection of architecture or design related photographs. I enjoy capturing things as they are. With this comes seeing subjects from differing perspectives. As well as a highlighted sense of curiosity in the exploration of the subjects I come across.

Beg & Borrow Retail - This project was in collaboration with a local clothing label. I was tasked with the creation of the first brick and mortar location’s design. The main parameters being that the design should link the brand’s messages into one experience.
12
This concept is based on creating zones of experiences. Then using these experiences to link together the brands that fall under “Beg & Borrow.” It was important for the product to be displayed in a way that reflects the detailed works of “wearable art.”

Graphic Exploration- This exploration started with designing graphics with only a point, line, or plane based on various words. In a continued exploration the designs derive from and act to personify the words.

Carroll Cloar Center for Literature and Art This project tasked me with designing a museum and writing center. The program revolved around literature. Southern gothic was the main inspiration for Memphis artist Carrol Cloar’s art. At the Carroll Cloar Center a museum would also house his notable works.
18
The Carrol Cloar Center for Art and Literature is based conceptually on experiencing humility through architecture. This concept evolved from a personal observation of both Cloar’s life and work. This design is meant to affect the user in a way that causes a profound realization. The realization is intended to be that the user is a part of something much larger than themselves.

Napkin Sketch - This project was tasked with creating a graphic representation that experience could be drawn from. As well as exploring the value in differing media. I chose to graphically distill emotional concepts I have experienced.

PAVE Bank of America - This project tasked me with designing a Bank of America branch that would exist within the University’s campus. The design had to exemplify Bank of America values while also offering an adaptive space to be used for various events.
26
The pop-up was designed with the intent to reshape how a college student perceives a bank. While the design remains formal and refined on the exterior, the experience inside is a intricate dialogue between innovation and professionalism.

Modular Wall - This project tasked me with creating a modular piece that would lead to a system. These individual modules had to react to the solar conditions that are present in Memphis.
32
This design was based off of an accordion-like structure that is lined with apertures. The apertures change the experience based on the user position. The wall was designed to mitigate eastern lighting while emphasizing a sense of play on both of its sides.
