THE VISION OF THE MODERN AMERICAN SCHOOL IN AMMAN IS TO NURTURE LIFELONG LEARNERS AND GLOBAL THINKERS TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS WITH LEADERSHIP QUALITIES AND UNIVERSAL VALUES WHILE INSTILLING PRIDE IN ONE'S CULTURAL IDENTITY.

THE MISSION OF THE MODERN AMERICAN SCHOOL IS TO PROVIDE LEARNERS WITH AN ENGAGING AND CHALLENGING BLENDED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WITHIN A DIVERSE COMMUNITY WHILE FOCUSING ON INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS, CATERING FOR LEARNERS’ WELL-BEING, FOSTERING INTERNATIONAL MINDEDNESS, AND OFFERING VARIOUS OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPERIENCES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO LEARNERS’ GROWTH.

IN ALIGNMENT WITH KG2’S UNIT OF INQUIRY, “HOW WE ORGANIZE OURSELVES,” KG2 LEARNERS VISITED TRAX FIELD FOR A HANDS-ON LEARNING EXPERIENCE. THE CHILDREN PRACTICED IMPORTANT STREET SAFETY RULES, INCLUDING RECOGNIZING TRAFFIC LIGHTS, USING PEDESTRIAN WALKING PATHS, AND UNDERSTANDING HOW TO STAY SAFE AS PASSENGERS AND PEDESTRIANS. THIS REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCE HELPED THEM UNDERSTAND HOW RULES AND SYSTEMS KEEP PEOPLE SAFE IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE ARE PROUD OF HOW RESPONSIBLY AND ENTHUSIASTICALLY THEY PARTICIPATED.

KG1 learners had an exciting and engaging day at Kidovia, where they explored their creativity by drawing and painting their favorite types of weather. They also had fun playing in the soft area, developing gross motor skills and enjoying collaboration with their peers.

In connection with the KG2 unit, How We Organize Ourselves, learners celebrated Career Day by exploring the careers they aspire to pursue in the future. A variety of stations were set up in the KG area, allowing learners to engage in hands-on experiences and role-play different professions, fostering curiosity, choice, and active participation.

During Book Week, under the theme “Investigation & Adventure,” our KG learners explored the exciting world of stories with our wonderful librarian, Ms. Noor. Through engaging read-alouds, interactive activities, and fun story-based movies, students followed clues, discovered new characters, and went on imaginative adventures. They practiced asking questions, making predictions, and sharing their ideas like true little inquirers. It was a week filled with curiosity, exploration, and a deeper love for books and storytelling!

We celebrated our love for play on Global Play Day by exploring games from different countries around the world. A special thanks to Mrs. Al Shaer and Mrs. Arippara for their wonderful participation and support in making the day so engaging for our learners.

Our amazing KG learners were celebrated during the Student of the Month assembly for showing the “Caring” learner profile attribute through kind words, helping hands, and respectful actions. We also recognized their principled behavior and their excitement for active reading on Raz-Kids. We are so proud of our little learners for making positive choices and growing every day!

We joyfully celebrated MAS Family Day, a special occasion that brought our community together to reflect on the love and appreciation we have for our school, our teachers, our friends, and our families. It was a heartwarming day filled with connection, gratitude, and togetherness, reminding us that we are all part of one caring MAS family.

Our KG2 learners welcomed two police officers as guest speakers, who spoke about their transportation and the important street safety rules we must follow. They taught our little learners how to cross the road safely, recognize traffic signals, and stay alert near vehicles. It was a meaningful and engaging learning experience for everyone.

Our KG learners had a fun and exciting time during their cooking class! ✨ They explored different ingredients, followed simple recipes, and worked together to create tasty treats. The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity, and independence, while also helping our little learners develop their fine motor skills and a love for healthy food.

Ramadan donations continue with the generous efforts of our caring KG learners. Throughout this special month, our little ones have been showing kindness and compassion by bringing donations and thinking of others in need.

We had a wonderful time during our Saturday trip! Our learners were excited and full of energy as they explored, discovered, and enjoyed new experiences together. The trip gave them the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, connect with their friends, and develop their social and communication skills in a real-life setting.
