“I joined Marymount in January 2019, after being in an all-English system for the last 8 years of my life. The change was a big step for me at first, and it took some getting used to, but looking back to how much I have grown, I don’t think I could have done it without the underlying support of Marymount. Transitioning to an IB school has given me the opportunity to flourish in every aspect of school life, and I believe it has truly given me a life-long love of learning.” “My most enjoyable moments were the memories I have made with my friends and teachers, like the day that Ms McMahon and I were laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe. I also loved the little trips we went on, like kayaking. This year was really hard, yet I think that it was a great time to create new memories that we will remember for many more years. I can’t wait until next year to make new memories and meet new people. It will be hard going from Middle School to High School, but there are so many things to look forward to!” “I think that every day on the Marymount campus is one of the most enjoyable moments of the year.”

“Throughout my time at Marymount, I have worked on encouraging and affirming personal growth. I have developed this through various experiences here at Marymount. To begin, moving from the capital of Mexico to the bustling city of London sculpted my identity. I was immersed in a foreign cultural and religious setting, and this included comprehending distinct mannerisms and behaviour. I had to adapt to a completely new environment, which took courage and belief in myself. Marymount supported me throughout this abrupt transition. Arriving at an international school that encouraged cultural expression allowed me to develop socially, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually. Our differences were celebrated instead of subdued, and by being submerged in a culturally rich environment, we were all able to live side by side in harmony. I believe this is because we get to know each other and above all, experience so closely different cultures.
