W.H.S. WINS, 25-6 The 1969 Homecoming was as all other W.H .S. homecomings have been a great success. Continuing with the pattern originated by the Class of '69, the students chose one pair of attendants from each of the lower classes and four pairs of attendants from the senior class. The queen and king were selected from the four senior couples and were coronated during half-time. The Spartans also continued their Homecoming tradition with a 25-6 victory over East Clinton.

FOOTBALL Coach Schneider and his staff accomplished the Impossible this season by leading the Spartans to their first \\inning season in the school\ histor} This feat \\US even more significant because the record was set during a re-building } car when there seemed to be little hope for a successful season. Bo Bradley led the team in all offensive statistics and many defensive statistiCS, even though he \\atched the final game from the sideline due to an injured knee. Mike Cornett, usually a defensive specialist, filled in for Bo in the final game and scored his second touchdown of the year, the rust being a sixty yard interception to beat Greenon. Joining \1ike and Bo on the Allleague I irst Team \\as Allen Corb:, who excelled at both offensive and de fen . ive end. Tom Banzer, star Spartan linebacker, \\as named to the All-league Second Team.

BASKETBALL At time during the up-down cason, Coach Davts' squad could hold its own with the cia teams of the area. Too often, however, "turn-over" in key moment spoiled what would otherwi e have been hard-fought victories. The season was not without good performances, though, as the Spartans fint hed with wins over Yellow Spnng , linton Ma sic, Little MJami, and Blanchester. Stand-outs for the ea on were 1ike ornett and Bo Bradley, both of whom were named to the All-league Second Team.
