MSYSA made history, not just on the field, but behind the scenes with its largest marketing and content team to date on-site for the Presidents Cup and State Cup Championships. A dedicated team of five brought the full tournament experience to life through video, photography, and real-time social media coverage. While thousands of players and families experienced the action firsthand, the marketing team ensured that fans and supporters who couldn’t attend were still part of the excitement
From dramatic PK finishes to joyful championship celebrations, the energy was captured and shared across all platforms. In addition to social coverage, Priestly, host of On The Line P ground conducting interviews with players, coaches, referees, and parents giving followers a deeper look into the people who make the game so special

CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT 2025 STATE CUP & PRESIDENTS CUP FINALS AT THE MARYLAND SOCCERPLEX
This past weekend, the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) proudly hosted the 2025 Presidents Cup and State Cup Championships at the renowned Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland. Bringing together top youth soccer teams from across Maryland and Washington, D.C., for a weekend of elite competition, excitement, and celebration.
On Saturday, May 31, Presidents Cup finalists took the field in pursuit of championship titles and a coveted spot at the Eastern Presidents Cup in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The action continued on Sunday, June 1, as State Cup finalists battled for glory and the opportunity to advance to the USYS Eastern Regional Championships in Loudoun, Virginia.
The weekend featured fierce matchups across age groups from 11U to 19U, with every team showcasing the skill, heart, and determination that has carried them through months of competition. For the regional champions, the journey continues on the national stage, with Eastern Presidents Cup winners looking ahead to Tampa, Florida, and USYS Eastern Regional Championship winners setting their sights on the USYS National Championships in Orlando.
“The level of talent, passion, and dedication we’ve seen throughout this year’s State and Presidents Cup competitions has been truly inspiring,” said Brad Roos, MSYSA Cups Director. “These tournaments are more than just a path to a trophy. They’re a celebration of the countless hours of training, teamwork, and perseverance that define youth soccer in Maryland and D.C. We can’t wait to see our champions represent us with pride at the regional and national levels.”

CELEBRATING SPORTSMANSHIP AT THE STATE CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS
After a hard-fought 15U State Cup Championship match, PPA Green and Baltimore Union Elite showed the true spirit of Maryland soccer, not just in competition, but in character. After the final whistle blew, both teams came together for a joint photo on the championship stage, symbolizing mutual respect, sportsmanship, and a shared goal: representing Maryland with pride at Regionals.
PPA Head Coach Clare Roche, taking the championship stage during the awards ceremony, addressed Baltimore Union with heartfelt sincerity:
"You guys make us better. We love playing you guys and cheering for you guys."
Her words reflected the deep respect between the two programs rivals on the field, but united in excellence off of it. This moment stood as a testament to the culture of high-level sportsmanship and camaraderie that defines Maryland soccer.
With PPA Green claiming back-to-back State Cup titles, Coach Clare looked back at her team with pride and passion:

ANNAPOLIS SOCCER CLUB WRAPS INAUGURAL TOPSOCCER SEASON WITH A CELEBRATION
Annapolis Soccer Club recently celebrated the successful conclusion of its first-ever TOPSoccer season, marking a major milestone for the inclusive soccer program. Designed to provide opportunities for athletes with disabilities, the new program was met with enthusiasm and community support throughout the season.
Players, families, and volunteers came together to celebrate the achievements and friendships formed on and off the field. The end-of-season event was filled with smiles, high-fives, and a shared excitement for what’s ahead.
Annapolis Soccer Club is already looking forward to continuing the momentum with a mini summer session and a full Winter program. With such a strong start, the future of TOPSoccer in Annapolis is bright!

Let’s Play! was thrilled to welcome Washington Spirit players Brittany Ratcliffe, Paige Metayer, and Kate Wiesner at Brookhaven Elementary School! Their visit brought an unforgettable level of excitement, energy, and inspiration to the students who were eager to meet real-life professional athletes.
From the moment they arrived, Brittany, Paige, and Kate jumped right into the action, joining the kids on the field for scrimmages, giving hands-on coaching, and sharing advice about the game they love.
