The MSYSA Summer Soccer Academy, held from July 21-25 and July 28August 1, provided campers with an unforgettable experience. Campers enjoyed the best summer ever, playing soccer, making new friends, and learning from Maryland's top soccer coaches. Highlights included engaging games like Goalkeeper Wars and Soccer Tennis, with Kona Ice an a refreshing cooldown treat after long days in the sun. Campers stayed in the dorms at St. James School, enjoying various activities and pizza nights. The camp was a resounding success, and everyone is eagerly looking forward to next year’s camp!
Celtic FC join forces with Let's Play! to give their players a day to remember!
Celtic FC star, Luis Palma met with local kids in Maryland as they joined forces with MSYSA to support our fantastic Let’s Play! programme.
The Celtic FC winger and Honduran National Team player was delighted to support the programme, taking time to meet and speak to the 30 children, aged six and seven, who were involved, taking questions from the kids and showing them some of his skills.
Speaking after the event, Luis Palma said: "Football is for everyone and it is great that the Lets Play! programme is getting more and more kids involved in the sport. It is fantastic to be in America with Celtic and to see so much positive work like this.”
“It was a privilege to spend time with these kids and really good fun for me.”
