Dina Morrone, a playwright, performer, voiceover actor, model, graduate of Fashion Design, was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, a small blue-collar town on the icy cold shores of Lake Superior, just thirty-five minutes from the United States border of Minnesota. When people in Los Angeles say it’s cold, Dina chuckles. She grew up in a place where temperatures drop to the depths of minus forty and below. Now that’s cold!

When asked to tell The Eden Magazine a little bit about herself, Dina quoted something the cinematic maestro, Federico Fellini, said to her when she met with him at Cinecitta’ film studios in Rome. Her agent had set up a meeting with the maestro, to discuss a role in one of his upcoming projects.

When she nervously sat down with the larger than life director, he turned to her and said, “Tell me a little bit about yourself.” As Dina prepared to speak, he interrupted her and said, “But not as an actor. When actors talk about their work, it’s so boring.” And so with that, Dina went on to talk about Canada, the cold, figure skating, fashion, her family, and her grandmother’s chickens. That encounter with Fellini taught her a lot about herself and went on to become the centerpiece of her solo show, The Italian In Me, which she wrote and has performed all over Los Angeles. She will be performing it again for two shows on December 3rd & 4th at Theatre West, in Los Angeles. Theater critic Dave DePino of Backstage West wrote, “Her profound scene with Federico Fellini is written and rendered to perfection.”

It may have been very cold where Dina grew up in Canada, but she tells us that inside her family home it was very warm. Her parents are from Calabria, in Southern Italy, a climate similar to Los Angeles. When asked why her parents settled in such a cold place, Dina simply stated, “They immigrated there for a better life.” Dina and her siblings are first generation Canadian. In her modest household, everything was about family. All the meals were home cooked, the bread was freshly baked, her father made wine from grapes he churned in a machine (no sulfates), and the house always smelled of fresh coffee and good food. In the summers her parents planted a garden. All summer long there were fresh vegetables, which she claims, “do not taste like any vegetables you will buy at the store.” They were truly organic.

They were planted, nurtured and then prepared with a lot of love and passion. Before immigrating to Canada, Dina’s parents worked the land in Calabria, so gardening was in their blood. In Italy, whatever they planted, they had to pick; grain, potatoes, olives, grapes, tomatoes, eggplant, figs, cherries, pomegranates, etc. “My mother likes to remind me that it wasn’t an easy life. It was a lot of work.” Italian was spoken in the household (Dina is bi-lingual), Italian records played beautiful Italian melodies, and there were always friends, neighbors and relatives dropping in to visit.

Dina knows first hand that being the child of immigrant parents is not easy. They struggle with trying to fit in.

Her parents, like most immigrants, were not familiar with the new customs and traditions and continued to follow their own. This was not unique to Dina’s family.

All children of immigrants, no matter where one comes from, have to deal with the same issues. Dina has a lot of compassion for all of them. She feels their pain and understands their struggles. She recalls the many times her parents longed for their homeland and how they wished they could return, or the countless times she saw her father crying as he said through his tears that he missed his mother. She understands that all immigrants make the ultimate sacrifice. They take a chance by leaving the comfort of their homeland to move to a place they don’t know so that they can start a better life for themselves and their family. There is an Italian expression “He who leaves the old road behind knows what he has left but does not know what he will find.”

comedy about an Italian family and a Canadian moose, was originally produced in Los Angeles at Theatre West, to rave reviews. It has gone on to have a very successful run in Canada and has been picked up by The Sudbury Theater Center, also in Canada, for its 2016/17. She plans to remount it in Los Angeles, so watch out for the Moose, and also has plans to bring it to Toronto and Off Broadway in New York. “When a loose moose wanders into a small northern Canadian town, four generations of an Italian immigrant family soon realize that the moose is not the only one that is displaced and confused.” Dina told us that Moose On The Loose, which is loosely based of true events that occurred when a moose did cross the road near her mothers home and ended up stuck in the neighbor’s camper trailer, is actually a metaphor for displaced people. “We are all displaced. We are all looking to fit in. We are all the moose.” Mel Brooks said of the play, “I cannot tell a lie, Moose On The Loose is very funny and surprisingly moving.”

Dina has had her own immigration experience. After graduating from Ryerson University, in Toronto, Canada, in Fashion Design/Merchandising, she moved to Rome, Italy, to pursue a career as an actress. She went on to work at RAI Television, with acting legends the likes of Alain Delon, and campaign ads for companies like Ford Motors and American Express.

Dina was invited to be the Key Note Speaker at the FBI Annual Memorial, an event that honors all the fallen agents who have been killed in the line of duty. This was an incredible honor for her. She holds a very high regard for all people of law enforcement and those who work to make us safe; soldiers, marines, FBI, police, anyone who puts his/her life on the line, whether it be here in the United States or anywhere in the world. Those people are her heroes.

It was in Rome where Dina met the man who would become her husband, Stephen Rivkin, a Los Angeles based film editor and current president of ACE (American Cinema Editors). He was editing a Norman Jewison film called, Only You, starring Marisa Tomei, Bonnie Hunt and Robert Downey Jr. Ironically, a film about destiny and meeting your soul-mate. Dina would eventually move to Los Angeles with Stephen. She recalls that her first few years in the United States were not as easy as she thought they would be. She felt very much like a fish out of water, like a foreigner. It took a while for her to feel settled. And like her parents, she too felt that longing for her homeland, both Canada and Italy. Eventually, Los Angeles became home and on August 11, 2016, Dina was proudly sworn in as a United States Citizen. It was a very emotional experience.

Dina keeps very busy working on several projects in different areas of the arts, but one of her biggest passions is theater. She writes, acts, produces, sat on the artistic board at Theater West, is currently on the marketing committee for The Producers League of Los Angeles, and supports local live theater. Dina claims “art is life.”

Dina works as a voiceover actress on feature films, television shows, commercials, and as the annual announcer at various motion picture and television awards shows.

Here are some highlights of film and television projects Dina has worked on in voiceover: Live By Night, Gotham, Madagascar, Mozart In The Jungle, Angels and Demons, Nine, Pirates of the Caribbean, TED, Concussion, Spiderman, The Magnificent Seven, to name a select few, and AVATAR, the highest grossing film of all time. In AVATAR, Dina’s voice can be heard in the extended edition. In a scene where Jake Sully, a paraplegic ex-marine, played by Sam Worthington, is getting out of bed in his apartment on earth and into his wheelchair. He is watching a TV show the likes of National Geographic.

Dina’s narration is basically saying that the Bengal Tiger is all but extinct except for the last two born in captivity.

AVATAR is a favorite movie of Dina’s, not just because her husband worked on it as an editor and was nominated for an Academy Award, but because it is a movie about another world that reflects our own. Where people invadeople all over the world, and why she strongly connects with it.

She is passionate about the issues of our planet, which she calls our collective home, and she is very concerned about its abuse. She believes that all people are connected and that we are all one, and no matter where you come from or what your beliefs are we are all in this together. She believes that if you hurt one, you hurt us all. That all people, no matter where they come from, should be treated with dignity. We all deserve that. It’s the most basic of all things because, in the end, we all want the same thing. To eat, to be healthy, to be able to earn a wage, to give and receive love, to enjoy our time on this planet, to know that when we leave, we will have left a respected legacy, and that we will also have left our planet healthy for future generations to enjoy.

Dina’s journeys have taught her a lot. She thanks her parents for making their own grueling journey from their small village in Calabria to North America. Dina feels so blessed every day to have what she has and attributes it all to her parents and their sacrifice. “They started the ball rolling and here I am today reaping the rewards.”

“Connections” is defined as the relationship in which a person, thing or idea is linked, and that is how I feel about my friendship with Dina Morrone.

We are connected. So it gives me great pleasure to capture this Italo-Canadian beauty on the November cover of “The Eden Magazine.”

When I first arrived in Los Angeles it was Dina who reached out to me. We both have spawned from a small town in Northern Ontario, Canada and I, also being married to a Canadian of Italian decent, share our connection through family friendship and traditions.

Then add a little irony. While, Dina studied Fashion at Ryerson, I studied art in Siena, Italy and then switched to dramatic literature and acting at The University of Toronto. Today, Bella Dina (as I like to call her) is an accomplished playwright an actress and I am enveloped in the fashion industry.

With similar interests and backgrounds it is no surprise how well we work together. We are partners in crime, guerrilla warfare, or "Guerrilla Marketing " as it is known in the advertising world. It is a type of strategic photography done quickly in the streets with an edgy reference to urban LA. An opus to any city and her people.

For new designers, it is a must! A way of visually defining your brand on a shoestring budget without crews or permits. You learn the skills of an entire industry, from setting the trend in design, manufacturing, cost analysis, photography and editing and all the while connecting and forming important relationships. and raid each other’s closets for clothes, scout locations, change in the car, pack a lunch, and always credit your models.

I have been blessed with friends who are so talented, dancers, writers, actors, comedians, and singers to name a few. All of them my models, who have made my growing success possible. EVERY EXPERIENCE IN OUR LIFE Starts with an intention, whether we are making big goals or simply getting out of bed in the morning. All day long, we unknowingly produce intentions and achieve their intended results, yet it is by being conscious and deliberate with the process that we make the intentions a conscious and deliberate part of our own life.

An intention is about deciding ahead of time what you want to do and how you want it to turn out, rather than waiting to see what happens and “going from there.” It’s about deliberate action rather than passive reaction.

The great thing is that you can create an intention for anything; events, relationships, achievements and even the feelings and energy that you desire around those things. For instance, by making an emotional and/or energetic intention to connect with others, you are purposely opening your heart, feeling your feelings and expressing them.

When you do this on a regular basis, it becomes increasingly apparent to you that you are a larger part of what’s being created in your life than you might have ever imagined. The actual setting of an intention is a reminder to consciously direct your thoughts towards your desires and what it takes to achieve them Intention versus Wanting Setting an intention for more connection with others is not the same thing as wanting more connection with others. Even if you want something so badly that you find yourself praying for it, it still carries a different energy than creating an intention around it. To “want” something transmits the energy of Request, whereas to “intend” transmits the energy of Resolve.

The act of wanting something merely leaves you feeling the wanting of that something, whereas setting an intention to bring something forth in your life energetically paves the way for its arrival. This is true because all things in life are manifestations of energy, as we have noted before. An Intention is also energy. By setting a specific intention, you draw to you energy that is similar. It’s like cutting a swath through a thicket in the jungle. You are creating a pathway by sending your Intentions out into the world, and now, that which you wish to create has a direct line back to you.

Clarity There is a duel dynamic around how intentions should be set that can be confusing. Some teachers tell us to create specific details around our intentions, while others instruct us to release any attachment to specifics around the outcome. The way to get around this apparent contradiction would be to establish distinct details around how you would like to feel as a result of your objective being met, versus what you

specifically desire that intention to look like, physically.

In this way, you are granting the Universe more leeway for it to respond to your desire and draw it to you. You are releasing your attachment to particulars and are trusting that a wonderful version of what you have intended will manifest in your life.

For instance, perhaps you have the intention that you would like to be more connected with yourself and others and that you’re ready to have the goodness of life flow to you. You can create this result by describing to yourself how it is that you wish to feel as a result of this intention being fulfilled.

Imagine to yourself: I’m going to feel so free, so alive, and open, and allow myself to feel vulnerable. Then, move into gratitude for this result, exactly as if it has already occurred. These two energies put together— Intention and Gratitude—have been known to produce amazing results.

Choice When exploring the power of Intention it’s helpful to keep in mind that intentions may be changed any time you wish. Nothing is set in stone, so you needn’t worry that you have set something into motion that you may have no choice about later.

We all make new choices every day. When we’re clear about our overall intentions in life, we can make the decisions from a place of ease and confidence, knowing that we can change our mind if we choose to do so.

This is the message of the Soul, from which Soul Courage emerges: Free choice is always yours. This thought alone can support you in the process of creating intentions without fear.

There are no rules, only opportunities and options.

And to overlook any options would be a mistake, for it is the exploration of all of them before making a choice that gives you peace of mind, knowing you have considered things carefully and made your best decision.

Behavior Aligning with Intention There is only one option you may not take: the option to do nothing about what you intend.

Who I am is not just who I say I am, nor is it just what I do, nor even what I intend. It is who I am being as a whole.

All the awesome power of intentions will go nowhere if they are not accompanied by corresponding actions. Simply writing something down on paper, or verbally announcing your desire, doesn’t turn it into reality.

When you follow your word, beliefs and intentions with actions that are congruent with them, you are demonstrating self-respect and integrity, as well as sending a clear message about your desires to the Universe.

For example, if your intention is to be financially abundant, or more connected with your family, then it will behoove you to make sure that the behavior you exhibit is in alignment with that intention. This may seem like a “no brainer,” yet you would be surprised how at many people say one thing and do another.

Aligning your behavior with your intention is hugely valuable in holding yourself accountable for everything from relationships to career aspirations to feelings expressed. It’s the natural follow up to, and therefore an integral part of, setting an intention.

Yet it’s not merely about applying any physical action toward your intention, but also aligning it with the thoughts, feelings and energy that support that intention. In other words, all of you must be involved for your intentions to produce results.

My father shared something invaluable with my sister and me when we were teenagers that I still draw on to this day. I was feeling a bit insecure about a boy in school and wanted some advice. Dad asked me, “Well, does he like you?”

I hemmed and hawed a bit and then said, “Um, he says he does…but he hasn’t called in almost a week.”

“I’d like to tell you both something very important.”

Dad said. “You never have to wonder how someone feels about you or what their intentions are, all you have to do is watch their feet.”

My sister and I looked at each other in confusion and giggled, “Watch their feet? What does that mean?”

“It means,” he proceeded seriously “that someone can talk all they want, but none of it means anything unless they are moving in the same direction as what they are saying. Essentially, actions speak louder than words.”

Whoa. This was a brand-new concept to my 15-yearold brain and it eventually expanded my perspective on topics much larger than wondering about boys. It also taught me a very valuable lesson about myself, and that was:

Ambivalence Do you remember the childhood game called, “Red light-Green light?” If you recall, everyone would line up side-by-side and all face one person who was a couple hundred yards in front.

The object of the game was to see who could reach the leader in front of everyone first, but the catch was that you could only run towards them when the leader shouted, “Green light!” and you would have to freeze on command when they shouted, “Red light!”

If you recall, there is no yellow light, so the Universe translates any ambivalence as red light energy and freezes on command.

Our objective when setting an intention is to surround it with the feeling of a green light conviction, saying, “Bring it forth!” both verbally and nonverbally, physically and energetically.

Unfortunately, your intentions can be unknowingly thwarted by anything from doubt and not believing in this practice, to being embarrassed and feeling foolish, to feeling unworthy of the gift that you are intending to call forth.

When you pour resistance over your intentions, you are projecting opposite energies simultaneously. In other words, you may be feeling and acting in alignment with your intentions, yet emitting fear or uncertainty at the same time. This mixed message is common and understandable, but the Universe hears only two words: yes and no. And since ambivalence shows up as resistance energetically, ambivalent energy eventually boils down to a “no.” In essence (literally), ambivalence pushes your intentions away.

The energy we attach to our intentions is similar to playing Red light-Green light with the Universe. It’s one thing to invite something into your life through your intentions without being confident that you deserve or can produce it, and another thing altogether to send your intentions out with certainty and conviction.

Allowing We cannot leave this subject of the energy behind intentions without touching on one final aspect of that: allowance. Will you allow the fruits of all your labor in the garden of your intention to be enjoyed? Believe it or not, some people do not.

For instance, you may have an intention to bring more wonderful people into your life—maybe even draw to yourself the loving partner for whom you have longed—and you may have overcome any uncertainty, doubt, fear, or ambivalence around that. In fact, you may have everything in place—choice, clarity, conviction, action, everything—to produce this intended result, and your desires could still go unmet if you aren’t doing your part to accept the gift.

This can happen if a person is simply unable to receive what has been successfully called forth. It’s as if the overnight delivery service leaves a package that you’ve ordered at your front door, and you don’t bring it into the house. Or you bring it into the house, but you won’t open it. Or you open it, but you find something wrong with every part of it. So you send it back.

Many people have been known to deny themselves exactly what it was they set their intention to experience—the perfect job, the ideal new home, the most wonderful partner, you name it—because once it arrived at their doorstep, they couldn’t or wouldn’t bring it into their life.

Why? Because it didn’t fit into their story.

Not a small number of human beings have a story about themselves that they don’t even know they live.

It has become their identity, and they hold onto it for dear life, even if it’s ruining their life. The story could be titled: The person to whom nothing good ever happens. Or: I continue marching on through despair.

Whatever the scenario, some people have lived it for so long that it has become their comfort zone and

they are afraid to step out of their own pre-written script, because if they do—yes, here we go again— they don’t know how it will end. So they tough it out, brave it through, and play both the Hero and the Victim of their story simultaneously.

This confuses the Universe more than ambivalence, because the thing that you have now requested with conviction is actually delivered and then rejected. A little self-doubt here and there is natural, but after a while consistent non-allowing will begin to reflect to the Universe that you're simply afraid to have what you desire.

One of the simplest and most promising things that we can do to begin living with intention is to ask ourselves every morning…

How will I love today?

Your aura—the energy field surrounding your body— is a key component to building wealth and abundance.

The first place you make changes in your life is in your aura. By building the spiritual power of prosperity in your energy field, you can manifest it in your life.

As a healer and spiritual teacher, I’ve been working with the aura and prosperity for many years. From the time I was three years old, I could see the energy field around people, animals, even plants and inanimate objects.

I could see how the aura would change depending on our thought, feelings and actions. I have discovered that, although money occupies such a central place in our lives, many people do not understand its spiritual operation. It's no wonder that we often have problems with finances in one way or another.

The color of prosperity in the energy field is turquoise.

When I see this color in a person's aura, I know the person has an awareness of how to handle and manifest wealth. When this energy is very strong, it will be flashing out brilliant turquoise light from the heart center.

Sometimes, there will also be a ring of turquoise light around the person which shows an exceptional connection to the spiritual principle of wealth. Such souls will seem to have good luck when it comes to money matters, because they have learned how to build the awareness to a very high degree.

How you handle prosperity is one of the great lessons in life. Money is a form of energy. It represents your earth power, and by mastering the art of your earth power, it shows your capacity to handle greater divine powers.

Each of us has within us the ability to tap into an unlimited divine reservoir of abundance. The key is we have to exercise this ability. We do not have to see the aura to work with it, yet we do have to believe in the power of this energy and be in the activity of producing wealth if we want to see it materialize in our lives.

If all of us have the ability to produce abundance and prosperity, why is it we often experience lack and limitation in one form or another? In two words—poverty-consciousness. Poverty consciousness is a mental conditioning wherein we accept a negative, physical condition of a seeming lack as real. I see this energy as a gray color in the aura. The truth is we don't realize how many times we actually talk ourselves out of abundance.

When you accept poverty, you have poverty. It's that's simple.

God is infinite wealth, and as a precious child of God you have a claim to that unlimited abundance. Refuse to fall into the trap of what people around you say or what the world seems to tell you regarding your prosperity. Fill your aura with the wonderful turquoise energy of prosperity, then go out into the world and express that divine awareness and see what marvelous fruits it will bear.

Your Journey to Purpose, Power, and Wholeness

What if you could buy a ticket to the life you’ve always wanted to live, the one you know you were born to live?

Like most people, you’d probably step right up. But the truth is you don’t need a ticket for something that is already within you just waiting to be discovered. What you need is to get clear on what your purpose in life is. Then the road ahead is easy. It spreads out before you, and suddenly you have the energy to accomplish all that you desire.

So how do you figure that out? Well, you can’t figure out your purpose. Instead, the path to that deeper self-knowledge is through tuning into and then trusting your feelings, an experience of resonating rather than reasoning.

The key is you realizing that who you are is your purpose. You think your purpose is something outside yourself that you will eventually catch up with and then get to live. Sorry, but your purpose isn’t out there.

Discovering your purpose is a matter of feeling what it is, not doing what it is. As with all changes the issue arises how to bid farewell to those traditions which no longer serve our natural evolution. All those many pleasures packed into the identity alive and kicking, when in reality they are no more than a vague memory constantly repeated a thousand times to give birth as a construct of an individual I. Now arrived, led down through the time-lines by the many many labors of love self-created and given without permission. A maze of myriad strategic processes guiding us through the rain and sun drops of life experiences. As the story unfolds we stand in the now moments not fully aware of the I AM, WHO AM, WHY AM. Choose, the choice is yours to do and be as you please, allow desire to lead the way. Fed on an educated diet of right and wrong we have allowed the inbreeding of judgement to be the tradition of communication and interaction. The birth-leader within, no longer visible, lost in time ordained darkness of correctedness. Smile there is no need for despair, for locked way deep inside beyond the learned responsibility exists a spark of light, it’s yours and yours alone.

During our earth-time the greatest challenge is knowing how to continue when those self judgements come through the heart door dragging those heavy emotional anchors of past gone by in now.

Self-Trust is the water of life, it feeds our very soul at a depth beyond the aware known universe, grounded, a gift in personal foundation. It was never lost, it can never be lost. When we move in self-trust we tap the inner clear aquafer unknown to life’s judgements. Trust gives motion to the weary, disillusioned, confused and confident, it belongs to all.

When uncertainty raises its ugly head we become creatures in need, it creates an unclear journey for tomorrow’s journey. Therefore it is always wise to remember, you are the actor/actress playing the leadership role for today’s part in your life’s dance with the universe. We may think we are here for many reasons but in truth we are here in service to self and the many versions we encounter as we dance our way hand in hand with time.

Life is the gift of opportunity. There are times when it may appear unclear, as the journey has a way of distracting us from us. Then out of the ether come those magical moments to lift the spirit and then there are those moments unrecognized, lost in time but returned by the gift of grace, till accepted. Time may define us, the mind may bind us but in reality we are never stagnate. The gift of transformation is never far, for it is, in those grateful connections we create a landmark moment on our foundation. It is the moment we rebirth the excellence of I in the now!!

The information age is upon us, it’s not just all digital.

This time is for you and me to be grounded in connectedness, easy to say not so easy to grasp, as was expected.

The mere size of connection is beyond conceptual mindset. In less than one month all today’s knowledge will be obsolete, challenged by events beyond our control. It comes down to how will you handle life’s constant and remain in step with new informed you?

Information will always come and go, there is no need to try and gather it all. As I have mentioned previously I believe experiences are what life is all about not this band wagon over commercialize distraction called purpose??? Big question from the other side is “what are you LEARNING” as you ponder your way down the turn pike from the near side.

Information comes from on-line, learning comes from stepping up to real life diverse experiences while expressing the art of curiosity.

Love research, love learning, this is what creates a life worth living.

When knowledge is based on the segregation between right and wrong we lose the art of real value in our communication with the environment and other humans.

Old school, save for the tomorrows, follow past traditional viewpoints. New school, let’s do it today, choices with consequences. Which is the better, there is no better there is only the choice you make from information or the wisdom gained from experience.

Different Phases of the Law of Attraction

It is clear that earth is currently undergoing divine energetic changes and these changes are causing the awakening of the masses, spearheading mankind’s genetic evolution, and preparing us for ascension to higher dimensions of consciousness. And, awakening progresses in different stages. Herein, the author has classified man’s awakening into 4 stages that are commensurate with the 4 phases of the UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION. A discussion of these stages, dubbed as ‘ATTENTION,’ ‘INTENTION,’ ‘ALLOWANCE,’ and ‘SYNCHRONICITY’ has been presented. Furthermore, the impact of awakening on a diverse group of human souls has been explicated INTRODUCTION: WHAT IS EXACTLY WRONG WITH OUR SOCIETY? WHY ARE PEOPLE SO UNHAPPY? WHY IS THERE SO MUCH SKEPTICISM AND DISTRUST AMONG PEOPLE? THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM HAS CRUMBLED. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TRUST ANY POLITICIAN. NO ONE CARES ABOUT PROFESSIONALISM AND WORK PRIDE. IN CONTRAST, STRAIGHTFORWARDNESS, HONESTY, AND OPEN EXPRESSIONS, ARE PERCEIVED AS ALARMING TRENDS FOR BEING A SIMPLETON OR A FOOL. LAW SUITS AND LEGAL BATTLES ARE AT ALL-TIME HIGH. THE MAJORITY OF LAWYERS ARE THE MOST UNETHICAL, UNPRINCIPLED INDIVIDUALS, AND FORM THE MOST IMMORAL SECTORS OF THE SOCIETY. OVERCHARGING IS THE STANDARD

PRACTICE OF THE DAY. ‘MONEY’ SEEMS TO BE ALMOST ALL THAT THE MAJORITY OF HUMANITY IS OCCUPIED WITH. THERE IS CONSTANTLY WAR IN ONE PART OF THE GLOBE OR ANOTHER. PEOPLE ARE CONSTANTLY STARVING ALL OVER THE WORLD. THERE IS DISEASE AND PESTILENCE. THE ADVENT OF A NEW FORM OF ENERGY DOES NOT SEEM TO BE EVER IN THE HORIZON. FOSSIL FUEL AND GAS ARE STILL THE ENERGETIC NORMS. THERE IS THE EVIDENCE OF INORDINATE AMOUNT OF POLLUTION IN THE AIR, WATER, GROUND, AND EVEN BENEATH THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH. Mother Earth has begun to express her grievances through increased number of earthquakes, tsunamis, and severe volcanic activities. Extreme weather is manifesting itself through severe hurricanes, floods, and tornados. Other parts of the world are plagued by punishing draught. The extreme weather and tectonic plate shifts are occurring as a result of Mother Earth’s aversion and rage to mankind’s obnoxious, abusive, treatment of her natural resources in the past and present. She is earnest and diligent to, once for all, cleanse and purify herself of the contagion she has been enduring and persevering in recent and foregoing millennia. And, in a concerted effort, she wishes to re-stabilize and revitalize her resources once more. She does not have a terminal detestation for humanity, but for its ignorance. In contrast, she is regenerating and rejuvenating her surface beauty, as well as re-energizing and invigorating her resources in order to, once again, provide shelter, 37 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e November 2016

and to be a refreshing source for the mankind. She is not to be considered as malicious or vindictive as she is with the ‘light’ and she is compassionate and she is forgiving. There will be moments of discomfort, anxiety, and even dread or terror while Mother Earth is cleansing and renewing herself. However, these sensations are not everlasting and shall all pass.

All these disasters, ‘natural,’ or man-made, germinate a seed of curiosity ‘Within,’ generating a craving desire ‘to want to know.’ Of course, those who are tightly fear-based in their ‘rationale,’ often have an evasive attitude towards all this. They may resort to anger or to denial. They are often saturated by controversy and plagued by the ill emotions and sensations of the past, whether in this lifetime, or during previous incarnations. Whatever ‘type’ the person may be classified as, the sensation is there, ‘Within.’

In one case, an unpleasant gnawing feeling, in another, a sense of welcomed curiosity. In all cases, it is a diverse form of awakening. It is all there ‘Within’ and hidden. It has just not yet manifested itself, and it has various stages of cocooning before it becomes alive and transparent and presents itself to the physical or active conscious mind.

Stage I of Awakening: Stage I refers to the incipient moment of awakening. It is the juncture of ‘ATTENTION,’ corresponding to the FIRST phase of the UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION. It is, indeed, the incipient point of awakening. It is the first spark, the initial moment of conception for a new reality to set in. Those who are ‘old souls’ and those who have lived many lifetimes on the 3D Earth are usually more self-confident and less prone to fear. These individuals want to know more. For this reason, they do not want to let go of this explosive moment.

They are not afraid to pursue with this sensation of inquisitiveness they have newly ‘found’ or experienced. They feel they are onto something well-meaning, something big and want to research it further. They find themselves occupied; not in an unpleasant way, but actually in an enticing manner. They want to dig more ‘Within,’ and find out where the actual notion comes from. For some, this will eventually follow an intense period of research and of silent reflection. It should be elaborated that for some, the reaction is completely different. Some try to repudiate this moment of new reality creation. Some get terrified by the thought.

Some tend to humor themselves by mocking the sensation.

Others inherently see a certain enticement to the notion; yet they have been taught from the dawn of their experience in the ‘3D reality of duality’ to be cautious. So, they do not want to be subject to humiliation, or be ridiculed.

At this stage, both fear and ego are very much in the game.

Only ‘old souls’ and highly self-assured, very bold, and 38 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e November 2016

‘unique’ individuals are at ease at this stage. It should be explicated here that by inference to ‘old souls,’ it is considered that these individuals have a high degree of conscience arising from many lifetimes of positive or ‘resolved’ experiences. Therefore, these individuals do not typically suffer from ‘karma’ or ‘victim consciousness’ syndrome. This means that the majority of the significant karmic feelings of anger or dismay arising from experiencing injustice and mal-treatments of any kind in this or preceding lifetimes have been cleansed by the individual in question. Victim consciousness infers a silly ego-based disorder transparent in a great deal of individuals on the present Earth, which pertains to a condition that the individual almost invariably refuses to take responsibility for her or his action by always blaming any problem on someone else or to a set of imagined circumstances. Since the individual never takes the initiative to oblige oneself to feel accountable for her or his action, the process of clearing can never occur. As a result, the individual does not learn to reiterate on his/ her action, and benefit from the experience. In contrast, excess ‘baggage’ often accumulates in the present life and from the previous incarnations. It should be noted here that in basically all cases of victim consciousness, the individual is 100% responsible for the outcomes of his/her experiences. Even if it is postulated that others have been responsible for one’s karma by desecrating one’s right of Free Will, the same individual can acknowledge, respect, and exercise her/his own right of Free Will by ‘walking away’ and exercise compassion and forgiveness. Therefore, the terminology of ‘old soul’ refers to individuals who are no longer plagued by neither karma nor victim consciousness irrespective of their number of reincarnations in the past, absent of ‘excess baggage,’ who do not suffer from inferiority complex, do not have FEAR, and have a great deal of conscience unlike certain others. These individual soon progress from stage I awakening to the next.

Stage II of Awakening: This stage initiates when the revelation of ‘ATTENTION’ has been well-received and noted. Stage II is the phase of self-discovery. It correlates with the condition of ‘INTENTION’ pertaining to the SECOND phase of the UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION. There is a tremendous sense of delight and curiosity accompanying its inception to want to self-reflect. As you have your moments of silent reflections, you begin to realize that your many past and present ‘intuitive’ thoughts are contrary to your upbringing and conditioning during this current incarnation. You see, after all, you have not been a ‘rebel without cause.’ You make the discovery that there are not any true information or data that you could reflect upon and use your analytical and rational deduction to come up with any ambiguities regarding your intuitive senses. You now wish you had taken your intuitive

thoughts more seriously and reflected upon them to form a solid system of ‘belief ’ regarding your inspirations. You now start feeling better about yourself, gaining more confidence and self-respect. If you are not the expressive type, you wish to become bolder, speak out, and begin helping others to enlighten them, and possibly guide them towards awakening also. If you are, indeed, the articulate, expressive type, you feel more motivated and become active articulating your thoughts, further awakening yourself and others. In any case, you begin feeling better about yourself.

Stage II is the period that incite you to want to accept that a new paradigm could exist for your ‘reality.’ Thus, you begin to comprehend that your old reality was an illusion.

More specifically, it was a reality that was based upon fear.

It is ‘love’ that now you begin to crave for. It is the ‘unconditional love’ that is based upon ‘compassion.’ And, this love is unlike anything you had perceived before. It is not based on infatuation, lust, or needs. It is a very benevolent, secure love that has no roots in ‘ego’ and self-indulgence that binds us all together. It is a love that keeps everyone in ‘oneness.’ It is a love that has its core in divinity. When you are first inspired by it, you have a sensation of experiencing something new. It is certainly beyond the 3D paradigm of ‘duality.’ It is not self-serving. It is grand. It is regal. It fills you with a sense of utter peace. It boosts your feeling of self-worth. It takes you out of the ordinary.

It inspires you with an engulfing sense for charity, empathy, and compassion. It resonates with a higher frequency of consciousness. It incites a tranquil, resolute sense of satisfaction, different than before. As a result, you begin to desire a different reality. You crave for forward evolution. You begin to yearn for a love-based society, one based upon understanding, cooperation, and utter peace, void of fear, conflict, hatred, abuse, and selfishness. As a result, you set your INTENT to search for such a reality. You now become determined, hopeful, and trusting. The agony of doubt, skepticism, and paranoia begin to fade from your heart at an alarming rate. You are now a new person: more sentient, more aware of your surroundings, wanting to traverse higher dimensions of existence into a more comfort zone. You begin to feel you will be going ‘home,’ and it is a beautiful sensation.

Stage III of Awakening: Having more appreciation for yourself and understanding that you have been living in an illusion based upon falsehood, you are now ready to move on. The old paradigm is no longer acceptable. Stage III corresponds to ‘ALLOWANCE,’ corresponding to the THIRD phase of the UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION. You are now accepting to cross over to a different reality, one based upon divine unconditional love. You continue without fear, or if initially plagued by fear, it begins to subside. You progressively begin to love yourself. Again,

this is unconditional love originating from the Almighty. It is not ego-based whatsoever. By now you have come to fully appreciate that the fundamental shortcomings of your previous reality, namely, that it was fear-based. You had continuous concerns for ‘survival.’ You lived in a chaotic environment which, in truth, operated on the basis of ‘law of jungle.’ That is, ‘the survival of the fittest.’ This fundamental ideology was imposed upon you through validation of the Darwin’s Theory. You were compelled to ‘compete’ to be the “fittest.” Your surroundings were riddled with examples of injustice, and by transparent models of rich and poor, strong and weak, prosperous and struggling, and happy and miserable. Although these are all illustrations of the paradigm of duality, you now appreciate that the examples were extreme and artificially manipulated as a result of Mankind’s slavery. You realize that we have all come here to have a taste of ‘duality.’ We have all subjected ourselves to deceit and to dark energies of all kind to enhance our understanding of the universe, and in particular, the interplay of Light and Dark. But, the nature of such extreme fear-based paradigm has been beyond the scope of our chosen curriculum. The pronounced difference is that life under the condition of duality still preserves the right of Free Will. In this respect, the experience of duality is confined to making sound decisions as to neutralize the effect of dark, and appreciate the interplay of dark and light within the realm of duality. With slavery added to the equation, however, the right of Free Will is totally desecrated. With additional constrictions of misinformation, subliminal propaganda, secrecy, and other power-induced dictatorship, the balance is highly toppled in favor of evil.

The old paradigm was heavily ego-based. Furthermore, you see that the frequent emergence of ego as an essential component of survival meant that the natural balance in the symbiotic relation between SELF and ego was unbalanced, being biased in favor of ego. Initially, ego was simply allowed as a parameter in the equation of existence within the context of Creation, to alert the ‘Self ’ and safeguard it against abuse, injustice, and to effect survival. In essence, this aspect of the old reality was a corollary to the fear based aspect of the old paradigm. Fear creates chaos and necessitates concern for survival. On the other hand, alarm for survival generates fear. It is all a vicious circle.

At this stage of awakening, you will appreciate that the role of ego as the primary protector of humanity’s rights of sovereignty and survival against outside harm is grossly exaggerated. You come to comprehend that the outer conditions are not necessarily perilous, especially when you consider substituting fear with love. In other words, you find love dissolves fear, anxiety, anger, safeguarding against conflict. Furthermore, you come to see that ego is not necessarily an ally for the Self. You realize that it has its own agenda, and it goes far beyond fulfilling its task as a 39 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e November 2016

defender of man’s rights. You recognize that, in reality, ego’s approach is one of offensive position. It motivates misunderstanding, provokes argument, and incites conflict. It actually complicates simple encounters of confusion and miscomprehension through introduction of antagonistic posture, selfish guardedness, and belligerence. It disarms ‘Self ’ from taking the alternative stand of ‘giving’ or compassion by encouraging defensiveness and conflict. It exposes ‘Self ’ with the repugnant image of arrogance and pomposity, rousing engagement and enflaming a fight.

You come to the realization that it is of primary importance to be strong, confident, and courageous, and to keep ego completely under the leash of obedience, not to let it interfere with your social interactions with others, and to make it adhere to its purpose, which is alerting you to any possible external exposure to exploitation, mistreatment, and cruelty. You must leave the strategy of the remedy and discipline solely to the Self under possible advisement from the ‘Higherself ’ and without any interjections from ego.

At this stage of awakening you begin to wonder where you come from, and who you really are. Your interest and intent to learn more becomes accentuated. You now meditate more and spend further time in silent reflection. Consequently, you begin to establish a bond with your ‘Higherself.’ Progressively, there is more emergence of your ‘Self ’ and ‘Higherself ’ with one another. This begins to accelerate the process of your comprehension about your past and present surroundings through premonitions and intuitive feelings. As a result, your awakening begins to progress considerably, paving the way for a higher conscious state of being. Now you begin to resonate with a higher frequencies, which escalates each and every day. You also feel certain symptoms of this increased consciousness. You often experience headaches. There is evidence of swelling in your tong and throat. You start to get more and more body aches. There is the sign of ringing in your ears. And, even there is an onset of anxiety felt within you. It is as if you are striving to grow out of your present skin and into a new one.

Stage IV of Awakening: This is the beginning of the end to the process of awakening. By now, any remaining fear or doubt have all fully subsided. The old fear-based and ego-based paradigm is no longer an option for you. You are now seeking an alternative way of life. The promise of ascension becomes particularly attractive, and you are determined to pursue it. You see the world fully from the point of view of compassion, unconditional love, and ‘oneness.’ You are one with yourself and the creator, and you are looking forward to a new life based upon full cooperation, and sharing. ‘Competition’ seems absurd to you. You totally abhor jealousy or envy. You are very confident of yourself and have a deep respect and appreciation for your40 THEEDENMAGAZINE.COM e November 2016

self. You feel you are clear from any karma in this life or your past incarnations. You take full responsibility for all your actions and the idea of victim consciousness is alien to you. You are cleansed of all dark energies and have an aversion for all that appears contrary to your divine conscience as perceived by your ‘Higherself.’ You feel joyful and you love yourself. At the same time, you feel humble and you have an urge to help others. Your anger towards the fellow human beings has subsided. You look towards the fellow man who has always made you dismayed and distressed for adopting greed, distrust, apathy, selfishness, defensiveness, even paranoia as a way of life, with empathy and wish to help him/her with a new reality based upon love, warmth, security, tranquility, one that leads to prosperity and inventiveness. You feel very tolerant and forgiving towards man’s transgressions. You rather be void of any judgments and instead commit yourself to counsel and assist if you are permitted. At the same time you feel deeply in peace with yourself. You understand the purpose of your incarnations well. Any doubts or regrets totally vanish from your physical mind. You know what you did was according to your desire for incarnation on Earth. What you let go of is for good reasons that complies very well with the truth, and consistent with your new and refined reality. You feel totally resolved. You look back at your present experiences in this carnation and you are happy with your accomplishments, and you forgive and absolve all those who harmed or cheated you. You wish to meditate more, to commune and pray with your Creator father/mother more, and to also ask that if you inadvertently hurt anyone for any reason that they would pardon you for yours and their sakes.

So, you feel great about yourself, and you look forward to a future new life with others based upon better and higher levels of consciousness, compassion, and love. Now you realize that you need to exercise more patience, and indeed, this is in concert with your new natural frequency of vibration, your new resonance. You are undoubtedly now resonating at much higher frequencies. Although more self-satisfying, you see you more and more that you are out of phase and not synchronous with your surroundings. This is consistent with the ‘SYNCHRONISITY,’ or the FOURTH phase of the UNIVERSAL LAW OF ATTRACTION that tells you now resonate and are harmonious with the frequency of a higher dimension. Fortunately, the divine energies of light and love are now pouring down on Earth. By now, you have made your commune with God and have committed yourself to his/her heavenly hands by opening your heart chakra to receive these blessed energies. And, indeed, they are coming every single day.

However, you find yourself in a rollercoaster ride every day.

As you go out, to nature or a serene park and meditate and walk among the flora and fauna and landscape of the countryside, you feel there is a surge of energy rush within you.

With further reflection, the energies are anchored within you, and you share this anchoring with Gaia through appropriate meditation. As a result, you clear yourself of the old energies and replace them with the new . You are, once, again, tranquil and at peace. You feel you are charged up once again, and no matter what time it is in the evening or at night, you feel energetic to do a lot more. The concept of time progressively fades out within your biological system as within the higher dimensions of consciousness time is perpetual. Here, you feel you are swimming in an ocean of infinite time where there is no linear notion of time, no past, present, and future. You are geared only to the phenomenon of successful accomplishment of a task, where one task serves as the benchmark for calibration of time, and where time is measured by triumphant conclusion of one task after another. And, in this respect, a task is not necessarily a serious ‘chore,’ and may be anything that fancies your pleasure. As your consciousness grows, eventually, there will be a need for a new body, one that is akin to higher frequencies of vibration. Recall that Mother Earth has also been transforming and cleansing and evolving to a more pristine condition in order to provide you with a pleasant environment, another Eden if you will, to shelter you and afford nourishments for you. Mother Gaia has now ascended to the 9th dimension and soon will be privy to advance and traverse the whole 12 dimensions of physicality. Strictly speaking, each one of us is a component in the overall constituents or the organs the make up the physical body of Gaia. Eventually, in order to be harmonious with the new vibration frequency of Mother Earth you will require a light body to be able to resonate in synchronicity in the new 5th (level I crystallinity), 7th (level II crystallinity) or 9th dimensional Earth (level III crystallinity). The term light refers to ‘less dense,’ as well as higher frequency ‘light’ energetic. Do not forget that we are beings of ‘light.’ Your light body becomes progressively less dense evolving from stage I crystallinity in the 5th to the level III of crystallinity in the 9th dimension beyond which there is no corporeal state, and where beyond the 7th dimension, you have the option to dispense with encasing your soul. Our highly revered sacred mission is to understand the interplay of good and evil. And, we have succeeded. As a result, we are graduating. We are going ‘home,’ wherever it might be within the 5th-12th precincts of “heaven.” All we have to do is to maintain a high enough level of frequency to cross over. All is well. The divine light energies are pouring in from our benevolent Father/Mother. At this stage in the game (Stage IV), you appreciate the necessity of maintaining your natural frequency at a high level and cope with the bothersome symptoms of ascension syndrome. In this regard, you must refrain from auric energetic depletion. Auric bleeding occurs as a result of overstress and loss of energy, which ironically enough, can

occur due to the incoming energies of ascension on the planet. These energies change the genetics of the body as there will be a shift from dense amorphous carbon-based electromagnetic body to that of crystalline-electric light body.

The Autoimmune Fix:

How to Stop the Hidden Autoimmune Damage that Keeps You Sick, Fat and Tired Before It Turns into Disease

I was recently asked: “What’s the one thing you would do, more than anything else, if you were going to focus on being healthy?” My recommendation is to focus on creating a healthier microbiome. All the little steps that are easy to implement will add up to having a robustly healthy microbiome. Nothing is more important to the function of your body. Nothing has more control. Nothing impacts more of your tissues and organs than the microbiota. It’s the big kahuna.

Luckily, the microbiome can easily be rebalanced. In just a day or two of changing your diet, you can begin to change and reduce dysbiosis. First, avoid the foods you may be sensitive to. When you have food sensitivities, the immune system responds with an inflammatory cascade in the gut. Every forkful can have a detrimental effect on your microbiome, even if you don’t feel bad as you eat it. The inflammatory cascade kills off the good bacteria, and pathogenic bacteria begin to prosper, creating an imbalanced environment in the gut. When you remove the foods that you are reacting to—beginning with gluten, dairy, and sugar—you can positively affect your microbiome.

My Transition Protocol includes better food selection, probiotics, and prebiotics to help restore a healthy microbiome. The foods that support the microbiome are grouped into four categories.

1. Choose foods high in polyphenols—colorful, high-fiber fruits and vegetables. Polyphenols are micronutrients found in the bright colors in fruits and vegetables and have are incredibly beneficial to the microbiome. You may have heard of resveratrol, found in red wine, and the benefits of dark chocolate or green tea.

It’s the polyphenols that provide much of these foods’ health benefits. Polyphenols occur within a diverse class of plants and are associated with strong-colored fruits (like berries) and vegetables (like red tomatoes). Fruits and vegetables that are high in polyphenols have the same dark color throughout. While eggplants have a nice, dark skin, the flesh is white, so it isn’t a high polyphenol choice. A better choice would be dark, leafy greens like spinach or kale.

You can add polyphenols into your diet every day in several ways including salads filled with greens and crunchy, colorful cruciferous vegetables. It is the insoluble fiber in these vegetables that the bacteria thrive on that promote being lean and healthy. Other foods high in polyphenols can be eaten every day, but in moderation, including fresh garlic, fresh raw almonds, and 70 percent or higher dark chocolate. Cocoa has been shown to influence the microbiome toward a more health-promoting profile by increasing the relative abundance of good bacteria. What’s more, chocolate is thought to modify intestinal immune status, lowering the expression of IgA antibodies.

2. Choose the right carbohydrates. Avoid processed carbohydrates that feed bad bacteria—chips, French fries, breads, white rice, cookies, crackers, desserts, and sugars. These foods put your body in a chronically hungry, metabolically damaged, fat-storing mode.

Eating them can increase your risk of intestinal permeability and may alter the makeup of your microbiome, upsetting the balance between “friendly” and unfriendly bacteria.

However, eating good carbohydrates can actually reduce obesity by increasing beneficial bacteria. In 2006, microbiologist Liping Zhao, PhD, conducted an experiment on himself to replicate findings that showed a link between obesity and the microbiome in mice.

At the time, Dr. Zhao was overweight and in poor health. He adopted a diet that included whole grains (brown rice) along with two traditional Chinese medicine foods: Chinese yams and bitter melon, both of which contain a particular type of indigestible carbohydrate (a prebiotic that encourages the development of one form of good bacteria, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii). He monitored his weight loss as well as his microbiome. Two years later, he had lost a total of 44 pounds by restoring his good bacteria. In a 2016 study from the Department of Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology at King’s College, London, it was found that the bacteria produced by eating these same foods (Faecalibacterium) is significantly associated with reduced frailty. This is important, because frailty is a useful indicator of overall health deficit, describing a physiological loss of reserve capacity and reduced resistance to stress.

Carbohydrates containing artificial sweeteners promote unhealthy gut bacteria that cause obesity. In one study, the sugar substitute saccharin was shown to alter

the function of 115 different pathways in the gut because of the microbiome controlling glucose tolerance, leading to obesity. The bacteria that aid in the digestion of saccharin turn the switch on to store energy as body fat and alter the gut microbiome.

3. Eat healthy fats. When you eat healthy fats, including the fats found in avocados, olive oil, coconut oil, nuts, there is no evidence of lipid raft transcytosis, which is responsible for moving LPS into the bloodstream.

4. Eat one forkful of fermented foods every day. A hundred years ago, people thought yogurt was healthy for you but were not exactly sure why. We now know that it is because of the fermentation of the bacteria in milk: Every time you eat yogurt, you get a dose of good bacteria.

However, because so many people have a dairy sensitivity and because the quality of most pasteurized yogurts found at the grocer is so poor and low in beneficial bacteria by the time it reaches your table, we are going to focus on eating fermented vegetables and drinks like kefir (a cultured/fermented milk), KeVita (a cultured/fermented coconut water), and kombucha (a fermented tea) to encourage the growth of good bacteria in your gut.

Fermented foods are those that grow bacteria in them or on them. They are some of the best detoxifying agents available. The beneficial bacteria in these foods are capable of drawing out a wide range of toxins and heavy metals. They can contain 100 times more probiotics than a supplement. Every day, you need to eat just a little bit, such as one forkful of fermented foods like sauerkraut and kimchi, both made from cabbage.

You can purchase fermented vegetables or follow the recipes in Chapter 10 to make your own. If you find that you have a little gas or bloating after eating fermented vegetables, it is a biomarker of dysbiosis (abnormal gut bacteria in high concentration). It doesn’t mean the fermented foods are bad for you; it means your threshold for digesting them is very low. So reduce your dosage: Try a tablespoon of sauerkraut juice on your salad with your normal salad dressing so that the taste isn’t so strong. Next week, try 2 tablespoons per day.

This is an example of transitioning—you are taking an accurate evaluation of where you body is currently functioning and moving it in the direction of better functioning.

For a healthy microbiome, probiotics need to be the majority of all your gut bacteria. There are thousands of different types of probiotics, and each is defined by its genus (for example, Lactobacillus), by its species (such as rhamnosus), and by its strain designation (often a combination of letters or numbers). The concept of a bacterial “strain” is similar to the breed of a dog— all dogs are the same genus and species, but different breeds of dogs have different attributes, and different breeds are good for different tasks.

The use of probiotic supplements is still in its infancy. We really don’t know exactly how to use them to create a healthier microbiome. We do know that they work to balance immune function and decreasing inflammation by helping you maintain a healthy environment in the gut. They are available as nutritional supplements that increase beneficial bacteria in the gut and crowd out bad bacteria. They can also heal intestinal permeability. Different strains of even the same species of probiotics can vary in their specific bacteria.

Probiotics are most effective when they are combined with a high-fiber diet that features lots of vegetables every day. Vegetable fiber is critical for creating butyrate, which, is the fuel for the fastest-growing cells in the body: the inside lining of the intestines. This is a critical concept and the reason why I don’t encourage fiber supplements, because I have never found a study where fiber supplements increase butyrate levels. The right fiber acts as a fertilizer that helps the probiotic grow and proliferate good bacteria in your microbiome. And because probiotics interact with the digestive system, each strain performs differently depending on your gut’s unique environment. This means that one type of probiotic doesn’t work the same for everybody. To find the supplement that will work best for you, choose a broad- spectrum, high-potency probiotic. “Broad spectrum” means that it contains more than one strain of probiotics.

Prebiotics: Even the best of dietary intentions can cause problems. A gluten-free diet may actually contribute to dysbiosis. When you follow a gluten-free diet, you remove many of the carbohydrates necessary to feed good bacteria. Gluten-free foods are not known to contain healthy prebiotics. You are in effect starving your own bacteria unless you replace the gluten with prebiotics.

Prebiotics are food components that cannot be digested by the body but are consumed by the beneficial bacteria

to help them function. Chocolate or cocoa is considered a prebiotic that is also rich in polyphenols.

GO AHEAD, EAT CHOCOLATE EVERY DAY Eat a little dark chocolate every day to increase your intake of polyphenols and prebiotics. Take a square of the very best dark chocolate (at least 70 percent cacao) that you can get and put it on or under your tongue. Don’t let it touch your teeth. Let it sit there without chewing, so that it slowly dissolves in your mouth. In this way, you saturate your taste buds to send the message “chocolate is here” to your brain via the oral thalamic tract that leads from the mouth right up to the brain. Chocolate stimulates the production of endorphins and enkephalins, which are 200 times more powerful than morphine in how they stimulate the feel-good sensors in your brain. If you eat that one square of chocolate every day and let it melt in your mouth for about 2 minutes, you’ll most likely feel very satisfied. If you want more, go ahead and have another piece. I’ve never ever, ever had a patient want more than two squares if they follow this method. This way, you can have dark chocolate every day and not gain weight or throw your blood sugar out of balance.

Many of us have been there. We’ve scheduled time and space in our active lives for meditation, only to have the mind and Ego start an incessant rant the moment we close our eyes. Very few of us are immune to it, including myself. The moment we begin to meditate, the Ego begins hurling a list of “urgent” to-do’s, issues and concerns. It often sounds like this: “How am I going to handle “X” problem?

“I should be doing laundry rather than spending time here.”

“I wonder what John thinks about me.”

“How am I going to pay for “X”?”

“Why does my leg hurt?”

And so on, and so on the Ego goes.

I was once struck with a deep sense of irony through this, because the exact life issue I wanted to meditate upon for guidance and answers was the exact issue the Ego kept chattering about!

So how do we quiet the Ego? To answer this, we first need to understand what the Ego is.

The Ego – What is it?

For many centuries, psychologists, psychiatrists, philosophers and religious leaders have poised this exact question and others: What is the Ego? How can we isolate and identify it? Why does it exist and what is its purpose? How does it impact one’s life?

Still the mind by disarming the Ego

According to the working definition at Merriam-Webster.com, the ego is defined as: “the opinion that you have about yourself ” and “a part of the mind that senses and adapts to the real world”.

But is that all the Ego is, or is it more than that? Is the Ego’s singular and sole purpose to allow us to form opinions about ourselves and our function in this world… or does the Ego also have a soul purpose?

Suppose, for a moment, the Ego has many purposes.

What if it not only provides an Ego-based identity (so we can adapt to the world), but also serves as the Darkness within each of us to balance out the Light? What if it serves as the loud internal voice in stark contrast to the still quiet voice of our intuition? What if the Ego’s purpose is not just to help us establish identity, but also affords the “soul purpose” of exposing us to our darkest fears and insecurities so we can grow through that exposure?

Imagine that.

And let’s imagine something more. The Ego has a lot of different personalities. When it’s in check and being managed, it provides a sense of Self and Who We Are that allows us to function within society (albeit it a false identity). But the Ego hates being controlled and it abhors mediocrity. Give it a basic and moderate sense of identity, and leave it unchecked, and the Ego quickly becomes Egocentric, where the world is all about “me, me, me” and “I, I, I”. And let the Egocentric continue unchecked and the Ego will quickly leap into Egomania, where everything is “me, me, me” and all insecurities are masked and hidden by a false sense of superiority. It loves control, and loves being the boisterous man behind the curtain in the mind’s Wizard of Oz. So how do we identify the Ego? Once a person understands what the Ego is, the next step is knowing when the Ego is speaking versus when thoughts are your own. This can be tricky, because the Ego loves to slide little comments into our thoughts. To help identify it, always be suspect of every thought that contains “I”, “I’m” “me”, “my”, “mine” and “myself ”.

The Ego is always trying to establish a sense of self and separation from others. It is the Ego that gave birth to the illusion of separateness and it is the Ego that leads us away from Oneness.

The Ego always tries to build a false construct of selfesteem by comparing itself to others and finding ways to declare others inferior to itself. It does this through: * Trying to establish superiority through appearance, race or social standing. * Trying to establish superiority through skills, abilities or talents (singing, sports, dance, etc.). * Trying to establish superiority through wealth, religion or title. * Trying to establish superiority through education, aptitude or intelligence.

As a general rule, whenever we encounter thoughts that compare ourselves to others, the Ego is speaking, and it comes from a place of insecurities and Fear. Love -which is the Light in each of us -- never makes comparisons. Love sees beyond appearances, social standing, wealth or IQ. Love sees the soul.

So how do we quiet the Ego? If you commonly have trouble meditating due to a chattering mind, try these steps:

gratitude! Before you try to meditate, take a moment to be grateful for all the blessings in your life: loved ones, family, friends, pets, and all belongings that you are thankful for. When you are grateful, the ego has little response. After all, how can it compare “I” or “me” to the best things in your life?

2. Be sure to include the Ego in your gratitude! I know… it sounds crazy, right? But bear in mind the Ego has helped you. It has provided you with a sense of identity that helped you acquire those loved ones, pets, and all those belongings that bring you comfort. So thank it!

You will further disarm the Ego and leave it stunned.

3. Negotiate with the Ego. Again, I know it sounds crazy, but think of it this way: the Ego’s job has always been to give you a sense of identity… of “Who You Are”. Doing so is part of its purpose. That’s its job! For this exact reason, meditation makes the Ego feel threatened, fearing it may be “out of a job” if you begin relying on guidance from a Higher Source rather than just following the advice the Ego has always provided you. So talk to it!

Help the Ego understand that Higher Guidance isn’t a replacement for the Ego, because you can’t meditate 24/7 and you still need the Ego. Let the Ego understand that any knowledge you receive during meditation will not only benefit you, but will also benefit it through making you be a better you.

Quieting the mind and ego can sometimes be a challenge for any of us, but apply these practices and you’ll likely still the mind by disarming the Ego. Blessings and Love

Baby Steps to a Happy Life

Recently, I had the opportunity to interact with a cute little boy named Tommy, who was just starting to take his first steps and who, in spite of his apparent clumsiness, had some amazing teachings to offer me.

Trying to walk too fast without realizing that a few weeks back he could only crawl, Tommy felt down several times while Rose, his mom and a good friend of mine, watched him and let him experiment reality on his own.

I was fascinated by what I was observing. My daughters are already young adults so Tommy was certainly refreshing my memories and making me understand once more, the resilience we tend to forget once we grow up and life begins to offer us its trials. You see, a baby’s resilience is that same ability we all continue to carry within us until the day when we’re ready to leave this world. There are no exceptions to the rules, we all come equipped with the same resilience; even those who prefer to act as if they didn’t have it.

Three things became evident while I watched little Tommy practice his new baby steps: 1. Joy and excitement cannot be lost if we want to achieve our goals.

2. It’s natural to fall down and it’s equally natural to get up and continue until we finally achieve our goal. Falling and rising up are part of the same process, we need them BOTH. 3. In life we must repeat, repeat, and repeat tirelessly, knowing that no matter how long it takes, we WILL reach our goal.

As adults, we’ve forgotten that even what is commonly known as failure can be enjoyed, if we’re willing to understand it as an indispensable step before any successful outcome can happen.

Just like babies, we too should be patient with our growth. We’re always growing and expanding, perhaps not physically but spiritually, emotionally and mentally, even when we’re too busy with life’s distractions to be conscious of it.

Almost half an hour had gone by and Tommy still hadn’t lost his courage and determination. Not even one single tear but instead, lots of giggles and laughs. It was certain this little wise teacher had indeed a happy life and was there to show me the infinite possibilities we have when we DON’T limit life in any way and just

Describe your design aesthetic and philosophy. (How are you aiming to “redefine the aesthetics of design� with your work?

What sets your brand apart from other luxury furnishing names?)

I would describe my work as having a contemporary mood with timeless values. My aim is always to add a subtle elegance into each product with a sprinkling of the Christopher Guy DNA design philosophy, which is central to the brand. Regardless of whether a piece leans towards modern or classic, the question I always pose myself is if I would wish to display that item in my home. If the answer is no, then I would tend to go back to the drawing board!

What prompted you to become a designer? Did you always want to enter a profession in home decor? (Talk a little bit about your background, and how your design career got started.)

I have always appreciated beauty in all forms, and as much of my youth was spent living or traveling in continental Europe, I grew up with a sense of appreciation of the finer points in life. I made the conscious decision of not going onto further education in England. I needed to find my own direction, rather than have one laid out for me in the form of a formal profession. So when I was 16 I jumped at the opportunity to work together with my stepfather to build a home in the South of France starting from its foundations. This experience ignited my passion for design... and business.

What charity is close to your heart and why?

I support charities that help and inspire children and youth since I do believe that we need to support our future generation. A couple of charities that are very close to my heart are My Friends Place, which is a remarkable charity that assist and inspires homeless youth in the Hollywood area as well as Teen Cancer America who provides aid and education for teens and young adults by partnering with hospitals to develop specialized care for cancer patients in a certain age bracket.

How can you relate your work to be eco-friendly?

At the workshops, we make a conscious effort to manage our material selection. All raw materials received are certified and ensured to have come from legal and sustainable sources, such as legally harvested forest products, responsible produced plantation products and recycled content. We work with our entire supply chain to promote a sustainable product cycle, also rewarding vendors who are eager to partner with CG on such issues. Since trees are our primary source of raw material, is it important for us to protect the local forests of Indonesia and help avoid deforestation issues.

What are the key things to keep in mind when building an environmentally sustainable products? Being mindful of where the product sources are coming from as well as supporting the local craftsmen who are responsible for bringing the products to life.

What are the key things to keep in mind when building environmentally sustainable products?

I was born in Britain, raised there and in Spain and France, and now residing between London, Singapore, and the US. I draw a lot of my inspiration from my travels and the various cultures I’ve come across. My works are also inspired by the female form and the elegance, sophistication, and grace that comes with certain types of femininity. The early James Bond movies had a huge influence on my creative thinking as they allowed me to dream for two hours. The beautiful opening titles by Maurice Binder, layered with music composed by John Barry was the start of that fantasy world that went on to be filled with exotic locations, Riva speedboats, Aston Martins and of course the beautiful women. There were also visits to places such as Harrods where I could continue to dream. Surprisingly, to be able to live and pay for that dream I had to spend many years in many of the world’s less desirable locations, from West Africa to a dusty little village in Java from where I built the business.

To what extent are your works hand-carved / crafted? What materials or processes does your brand use that make your products undeniably luxurious?

Each and every piece is handcrafted at my workshops in Central Java, which today covers more than a million square feet (10 Hectares) and where two thousand of the world’s finest craftsmen bring my ideas to life using a variety of materials, including plantation Mahogany, various metals, marble and limestone.

Are there any particular styles or motifs you use that you feel wholly reflect the “elegance, sophistication, and grace” your brand aims to achieve? How do you successfully convey those three notions through design? (Elaborate on the patented “Chris-X” leg design and its origin, and further explain the motivation behind the creation of the distinctive look.)

Redefining the posterior of a dining chair, I tapered the form without compromising the comfort, structural strength or stability of the chair. Like many of my designs, it was inspired by the feminine form - the corseted waist of a graceful lady, Scarlet O’Hara in Gone with the Wind and the crossed legs of a ballerina. The idea was to create a chair that was simple, sophisticated and flexible enough to work with a variety of style categories. The only way to emulate this sensuous yet elegant look was to reconfigure the rear legs, and so the Chris-X chair was born. There are many other subtle signature design details, including the silk-cut that can be found on certain pieces.

Design DNA is like music, it should be immediately clear who the composer is and to which genre it belongs.

Here’s an excerpt from A Journey to Oneness: “The days in Rishikesh were filled with imagery, symbolism that my heart continued to recognize as my own reflection. One morning, I sat in a beautiful garden, high on a hill above the din and the noise of the ashram. I’d escaped. There, the loudspeakers could not reach me. I was no longer tied, with my laptop, to the end of a power cord. I was no longer imprisoned in a

cell in which I felt like I was suffocating in every way imaginable. Suddenly, I was free.

Only the song of the birds and the flight of the butterflies filled the air—air that was thick with the signs of an early summer. The mist hung heavy around the distant mountains, engulfing them in an ever present haze. It was going to be a hot day, and it had only just begun.

I’d taken the laptop with me to the hilltop garden, bolstered by the extra battery I’d had the foresight to buy but never used. I realized that the freedom of the move to the garden was no more and no less than a choice.

But why hadn’t I thought to make that choice before?

For weeks, I’d endured the stifling heat and the noise in my little ashram room in resignation, gritting my teeth in the face of oppressive conditions, determined to make the best of it. The simple solution had been there all along—if only I’d been open to seeing it.

Now, in the hilltop garden, cloaked in the mists of nature, I could feel the Presence of Oneness everywhere, and Divine Grace engulfed my heart. Instantly, a smile of sweet contentment spread across my face, as I recognized that a distraction, whether pleasing or displeasing, was simply a possible choice, beckoning for attention. I saw the lesson. I could empower the distractions, or I could choose to sustain my focus. I can abide in my Divine connection anywhere, I reminded myself. I saw that the distractions were simply part of the training.

Oneness speaks: Now it takes no more than a moment to recognize the lesson buried in the imagery that surrounds you. With your eyes opened in this way, you are able to make optimum choices and to minimize the discomfort that is also a possibility built into the illusory world.

All options are ever-present. It is you who create the experience you come to call your life. Suffering is optional, at all times. The possibility is equally present to experience the identical conditions without the experience of suffering. One can choose to focus on the heat and the sweat that rushes forth to meet it—or one can choose to perceive only the subtle breeze that cools the skin, at the same time. When one is absorbed in the sensations of the breeze, there is no awareness whatsoever of the heat. When one is absorbed in the perception of Oneness, one is not concerned with the heat or the breeze, but is fully surrendered to the joys of Divine Union.

Oneness speaks about desire and distraction Here, there are no desires and no distractions, though the semblance of both may abound all around you.

There is simply an array of illusory imagery. One may choose to empower these images with one’s longing, or one may choose to remain the witness, and to note the scenery in passing. With the instilling of desire into mix, one activates the alchemy of creation; one infuses the conceptual with the energy that initiates the process of manifestation; one takes a step from the detached stance of the witness and becomes wedded to one’s perception of the illusory world.

Desire is the doorway to the embrace of the world of material illusion. When one puts forth one’s intent to have a certain category of experience that is perceptible to the physical senses, one leaves the realm of the true reality—the world within which one truly dwells.

The secret to remaining “in the world yet not of the world” is to remain detached from any and all desire to have the illusory world be other than the way it is in the Now moment. It is as it is. You are present only as the witness. You are not invested in the outcome of any set of circumstances, one way or another. And change will be brought about in accordance with the variables of Creation all around you.

Your own contribution to that outcome is achieved by

holding the highest vision, without attachment to it as an outcome manifested by virtue of the assertion of personal will. The vision becomes the seed of manifestation, placed within the embrace of the ethers, to be carried forth to fertile ground.

One does not need to plow the field, water it, cultivate it or tend it, in order to reap a fruitful harvest.

One needs simply to bear the seed from which fruit may spring. All the other functions of manifestation are within the realm of the illusory world. That world is sufficiently equipped to tend to its own gardens and to bring forth the yield that has been sown, in accordance with the principles governing physical reality. Hold to your vision and walk with peaceful detachment within the world of the illusion. That is the recipe.”

Allow the sweet energy to flow into your mind, filling it with serenity, accepting this blessing of loving presence.

As you sit here pondering and enjoying this pleasant space, notice that in the center of the room there is a beautiful diamond heart crystalline jewel. As you look upon it, it feels as if it is speaking to you, perhaps even singing. You will notice that it is very sweet. It brings to you thoughts and feelings of serenity and joyfulness.

Sit here for a while and open your heart to receive these sweet messages. Perhaps your mind will begin to see images of great wonder. You may notice thoughts of possibilities that seem to take flight into new realms of exploration. Just allow yourself to entertain these new ideas, and flow into a greater vision of what might be.

Let yourself bask in the joy of this experience. Within this beautiful room there is much wonder to discover and explore. Allow yourself the opportunity to just be with this for a few moments. It may even seem to be as if you have always known this place. In truth, you are very familiar with it, for it is a place where serenity abides.

You have entered the realms of your heart. Within this sacred place you can access all the answers to the questions you carry in your mind.

Sit in this wonderful energy and ponder, dream and let your mind flow within the realms of possibilities. What would you desire to experience and enjoy in your life? Tiramisu

Serves 4 ppl

Ingredients - 6 oz. Espresso - 1 lb. Mascarpone Cheese - 3 Eggs (Whites and Yolks Separated) - 7 oz. Sugar - 4 oz. Orange Liqueur - 1 oz. Kahlua.

- 4 pieces Sugar Biscotti Whip egg yolks and sugar until smooth. Continue to whip yolks, gradually adding mascarpone cheese until mixture is thick and creamy. Whip the egg whites separately until they have hard peaks. In a large bowl, fold the egg white mixture into the yolks using a rubber spatula. Add orange liqueur. In a separate bowl, mix Kahlua and espresso. Soak biscotti in espresso and Kahlua mixture, then place biscotti in bottom of serving dish.

Top with cream mixture, and dust the top with powdered cocoa.
