Head a little ways north to Morro Bay, where tons of native flora, fauna, and wildlife reside. Here you can find endless options for delicious spots to eat dinner, like Windows on the Water and Morro Bay Waterfront Grill. An array of bird species, sea otters, and seals all call Morro Bay home, so request a table by the water so you can enjoy viewing these animal during your meal!

It’s time for a tour with Central Coast Kayaks

! While paddling in

your kayak through rock outcrops and kelp forests, you will be able to get an up-close view an array of natural sea life, most commonly otters, seals, and dolphins! During your kayaking adventure, you’ll also make a pit stop in tide pools, where you can encounter crabs, sea stars, and urchins.

Grab a quick lunch to-go at a downtown Pismo restaurant and take it to the beach shores for a beautiful picnic. You will love watching the waves gently crash onto the sand, and you might even spot a whale out in the distance!

Take a scenic drive to the Monarch Butterfly Grove

here in Pismo Beach. Every year thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies flock to this area, admired by spectators and visitors.

Day 3 Spend your day in neighboring Avila Beach, a quaint, small beach town with tons to do and even more to see! First visit the Central Coast Aquarium, located right near the oceanfront. Here you can stroll through their many exhibits and even experience hands-on encounters with their wildlife!

Sit down for lunch on the patio at Custom House, where you can enjoy ocean views and delicious fresh seafood.

Drive a little ways away from the oceanfront to Avila Valley Barn

, located on Avila

Beach Drive. Not only do they sell fresh, local produce, baked goods, homemade fudge and gifts, but they also have farm animals available to pet and feed.

Stroll around their grounds or take a tractor ride around their lush fields of produce.

Head back to downtown Pismo Beach for an oceanfront dinner at the Oyster Loft. With impeccable presentations and even better taste, you will love wrapping up your vacation with this meal!

Stop by the historical Sunset Drive-In for a classic drive-in movie experience! Located in San Luis Obispo, Sunset Drive-In is an amazing piece of preserved American history.

Day 2 Start your day listening to the gentle waves while enjoying your complimentary breakfast at Shore Cliff Hotel. Grab a plate or two and a cup of coffee to be enjoyed out at the Coastal Courtyard.

Head north to San Simeon for a visit to Hearst Castle

. This National Historic Landmark lives

up to its name, with tons of lavishly decorated rooms full of beautiful furniture, art, and designs.

Tours here will guide you through the many great rooms and the beautiful landscapes, so don’t forget your camera to take some amazing #CentralCoasting shots!

Day 2 continued On your way back south, make a pit stop in Morro Bay for a waterfront lunch and some souvenir shopping. You can’t miss the 581-foot volcanic Morro Rock right along the bay. Morro Rock has an amazing history, named during the first European land exploration of Alta California in the 1700s. You can even visit the surrounding base!

Return to Pismo Beach for dinner and some more sightseeing! Grab a bite at one of the many famous eateries, like Splash Café or Woody’s. Stroll along the boardwalk with some ice cream and admire the Pismo Beach Pier, originally built in 1881.

Day 3 Sleep in a little and grab a cup of coffee while enjoying the beautiful views from your private balcony or patio!

It’s time to explore Downtown San Luis Obispo! Drive over and park near Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa

, you’re first

destination. Not only is the Mission still a fully functioning parish, but there’s also a museum and gift shop to explore. Docentled tours of the Mission start at 1:15pm, so show up a little early to make sure you have a spot!

There are tons of delicious lunch spots in Downtown San Luis Obispo. Try out a new cuisine or style of food, like the locallysourced small plates at Luna Red or the allvegan restaurant Bliss Café.

On your way back to Pismo, stop at Point San Luis Lighthouse

in Avila Beach.

Founded in 1890, this historical spot was originally used as a beacon over San Luis Bay and is the only surviving Prairie Victorian model lighthouse on the West Coast!

Day 3 Sleep in and enjoy your time off! Head down to the shore to dip your toes in the water and collect sand dollars and seashells.

Head to Downtown San Luis Obispo and grab lunch from one of the many delicious restaurants. All within walking distance of each other, the patio dining at Novo is perfect for a sunny afternoon and the burgers at Eureka! are a meal that’s hard to beat.
