POWER BLOCK SERIES

Torus Power’s compact POWERBLOCK models PB2 and PB4 are the company’s latest products. The compact footprint and rugged construction of PowerBlock models make them convenient for use in almost any situation. They fit easily on or near a component shelf, on any floor surface or can be located elsewhere when space is at a premium.

The PB2 and PB4 are available with European style ‘Schuko’ sockets, US style outlets (shown below) or with UK or Aus/NZ outlets.

Although both models share the same feature set of Toroidal isolation, Narrow Bandwidth Technology, surge suppression and the ability to provide instantaneous high current, they differ in one important regard: The PB2 features one 2 amp Toroidal transformer inside - and the PB4 has two! Instead of simply fitting a larger transformer to give higher power, this innovative solution means that the product can retain its narrow footprint and enable different components to be connected to different transformers to increase isolation and potential performance. For example, you could connect your noisy switch mode power supplies to one transformer and your power amp to the other.

Toroidal isolation power transformers

Torus Power is a Canadian based and owned company with 30 years of experience in making some of the world’s highest performance transformers for use in the AV Industry. In 2015 Torus Power became a separate company to specifically focus their experience on making the world’s best isolation transformers and power conditioners to enhance the performance and enjoyment of audio and video equipment, by eliminating noise and interference from untreated AC mains power.

As well as being used in some of the world’s most critical recording studios, Torus Power also features in some of the very best home audio, video and Home Theatre systems in the world. Torus Power products also completely protect the customers equipment from lightning, surges and voltage spikes.

All Torus Power products feature proprietary technology utilizing massive Toroidal transformers that deliver instant power – unlike many competitors products in this category that use simple passive filters to achieve a lower quality result. No matter which Torus Power product the customer chooses, the customer will enjoy the performance improvements that have won accolades from leading publications such as Stereophile, Home and Theatre Sound, CE Pro, and many more.

TOT SERIES

Torus Power’s “TOT” Series consists of three compact models that are affordable for most applications and are packed with features to improve the performance of all audio and video systems. The TOT Mini, rated at 3 Amps, is ideal to provide clean power to projectors, flat panels, powered speakers, media/source players, processors, small audio/video systems or network devices. The TOT Max, rated at 8 Amps, can provide current to more demanding power hungry systems including substantial power amplifiers. The TOT AVR rated at 4 amps, as its name suggests adds ‘AVR’ – Automatic Voltage Regulation to the other TOT features.

Options for the TOT Series include elegant aluminium faceplates (Black or Silver) and a 19” rack mount adapter kit. TOT units already come fitted with surge suppression as standard, but Torus Power’s special non-sacrificial Series Mode Surge Suppression (SMSS) is also available as a factory-installed option.

RM SERIES

The original Torus Power models – the iconic RM series - remain unparalleled for quality , performance, protection, and value, with models from 4 Amps to 50 Amps. Popular models in the RM series are the RM16 (shown here) which has been consistently toprated by leading audiophile magazines and can handle large powerful amplifiers, and the smaller RM8 which is ideal for mid-size systems.

AVR SERIES Torus Power’s highly regarded AVR models add Automatic Voltage Regulation to the already well respected, tried-and-tested features of the RM series. Torus’s AVR models regulate the voltage to enhance protection by protecting against voltage sags, brownouts and surges. The New AVR ELITE series adds improved regulation tolerance and many extra control and monitoring features.
