As I mingle and listen to industry leaders I am reminded that our employees “you” are some of the best anywhere. The reason I can say this with confidence is because of your care for each other and our customers. It is far above average. Our customers tell us so.
In a world of change and uncertainty ie., tari s, inflation and world turmoil; here are some things that are certain:
1. Our commitment to caring and serving you remains stronger than ever. We are intentional about making a positive impact on each other and our customers.
2. We will remain recession proof as we care for our customers in the same way that we would want to be served.
3. It is an honor to serve you. Thank you very much for your commitment to bring heaven a bit closer to earth by sharing Christ’s love to mankind through our acts of kindness. God is always good.

SWEET SERVICE AND SPOTLESS WATER!
Going the extra mile - Delvin style!
When Curtis Powell and his wife mentioned during their sales call that they loved chocolate cake, our team took note - and Delvin took action. On the follow-up visit, he showed up not just with solutions for their water, but with a sweet surprise: a chocolate cake delivered right to their door!
It’s just one example of how our team goes above and beyond to make every customer feel valued.
Even better? Curtis and his wife are now enjoying the benefits of crisp, clean Kinetico water in their home. And just take a look at the installation - it’s nothing short of a work of art!
Big thanks to Delvin and Wes for delivering quality service and a little sweetness along the way.

Summer Berry Trifle
INGREDIENTS
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
1 angel food cake, cubed into 1” pieces (store-bought or homemade - see recipe below)
1 pint fresh blueberries
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
Angel Food Cake from Scratch
INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar (350g)
1 cup cake flour (112g)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups egg whites (10 to 12 large eggs) (355g)
1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Using a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or in a large mixing bowl using a hand-held mixer, mix the cream cheese until smooth.
2. Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
3. Add in the heavy whipping cream and continue mixing on medium speed until the mixture has thickened and soft peaks form. Set aside.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Position an oven rack in the bottom third of your oven and preheat the oven to 350°F. Have a 9 or 10-inch ungreased tube pan (16-cup capacity) ready.
2. Place the sugar in a food processor and blend until the sugar is very finely ground, about 1 minute. (This creates superfine sugar, perfect for dissolving into egg whites!) Remove 1 cup of the fine sugar (200g), leaving the rest in the food processor.
3. To the food processor, add the cake flour and salt. Pulse 10 times.
4. Set a fine mesh sieve over a medium bowl. Sift the reserved 1 cup of fine sugar into the bowl. Discard any large grains caught by the sieve.
5. Place the same sieve over a separate large bowl and add the sugar and flour mixture. Sift the sugar and flour together into the large bowl and set aside.
6. In a clean, large mixing bowl, combine the egg whites and cream of tartar. Use an electric hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and beat the egg whites on low speed until they turn frothy on top, about 1 minute.
7. Once the egg whites become frothy, increase the speed to medium and sprinkle the reserved 1 cup of fine sugar 1 tablespoon at a time into the egg whites. Once the sugar is incorporated, beat the egg whites until soft, glossy peaks form. This will take about 5 minutes overall. Add the vanilla and beat on low speed just until incorporated.
Submit your recipe!
4. Start by layering half of the angel food cake in a large trifle dish, then layer half of the cheesecake filling on top, then top with preferred berries.
5. Repeat this process until you reach the top of the trifle dish.
6. Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to serve.
8. Sift a third of the flour and sugar mixture over the egg whites and gently fold in the dry ingredients with a spatula. Repeat two more times.
9. Transfer the batter to a clean, ungreased tube pan. Smooth the top and clean o the sides of the pan. Gently tap the pan on the counter a few times or run a knife or skewer through the batter to help break up any large air bubbles that may have gotten trapped.
10. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
11. Invert the pan onto the counter and allow the cake to cool upside-down in the pan for at least 1 hour. Most angel food cake pans have feet at the top so the cake can cool upside down but if yours doesn’t just invert onto a wire rack.
12. Once the cake is completely cooled, run a thin knife along the outer edge between the cake and the pan, and around the center tube, then pull the center-piece out to remove the cake. Run the knife along the bottom of the pan and invert onto a cake stand. Place the cake on a serving plate and dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Serve alone or with whipped cream and berries.

Divisional Highlights
We are blessed to have a team committed to making a positive impact in our community. One of our standout achievements this year has been the reduction in lead times for appliance service and installation. This improvement has enhanced the customer experience for those dealing with appliance issues and has also driven increased activity across all locations compared to early 2024. We’re also excited to share that our online sales have more than doubled year-over-year — an outstanding milestone for the department. To build on this momentum, we recently launched a targeted billboard marketing campaign promoting “Shop Online” in key areas, including Dauphin, Chester, and Schuylkill counties.
As we begin our second year of HVAC sales and service, we’re excited to add Mitsubishi to our Trane and Fujitsu product lines – three of the most recognized brands in the Heating & Cooling industry. Though Heating & Cooling is a newer division of Martin Companies, our team brings over 50 years of combined experience. We’re blessed by our outstanding team and continue to seek skilled professionals who align with Martin’s values of quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. We’re grateful for the customers we’ve already had the opportunity to serve and look forward to continued growth in the years ahead.
We’ve been blessed with steady growth in recent years, in both our team size and testing capabilities. Our lab is now DEP-certified to perform over 120 environmental tests. Last year, we added a new GC/MS instrument that enhances detection, accuracy, and efficiency in metal testing. We are also in the process of adding and certifying another GC/ MS to test for VOCs and other elements in-house. While expanding our core services for drinking water and pools, we remain committed to delivering precise results and excellent service.
Exciting developments are underway in our Water Conditioning division! Renovations have officially begun on our new building in Geneva, NY, with the support of Vine Country Builders. This location will soon become home to a brand-new Martin Water branch, expanding our presence into Central New York. We’re aiming to open by the end of the year. Meanwhile, our Greencastle location recently celebrated its grand opening! We’re now sharing showroom space with Taylored Designs and have established dedicated showroom hours to better serve the Greencastle community. This partnership strengthens our local presence and makes it easier for customers to explore water treatment solutions.
Some members of our Furniture & Mattress team recently attended the Spring Furniture Market in High Point, NC. Held twice a year, this market features around 2,000 exhibitor showrooms and attracts approximately 75,000 attendees each season. It’s a key event for retailers and designers to discover the latest trends, explore new products, and connect with both existing and potential vendors. Attending events like this allows our team to stay ahead of industry trends, bring fresh ideas back to our showrooms, and continue o ering customers top-quality, on-trend furniture selections. We’re excited about the new product lines and inspiration gained from the market, and look forward to incorporating them into our o erings throughout the year.

Meet Our Chaplain: DELMAR WEAVER
Have you ever faced a moment so overwhelming that you didn’t know where to turn? Or found yourself wanting to pray, but couldn’t find the words?
Delmar Weaver understands that feeling well. When his wife was diagnosed with cancer and given just 18 months to live, Delmar and his family were suddenly walking through one of the most di cult seasons of their lives. It was during this time that the strength and support of their faith community carried them – through prayers, encouragement, and simply being present when words weren’t enough.
By God’s grace, his wife is still with him, and they just celebrated 54 years together. Their journey is a powerful testament to faith, love, and the power of community.
Delmar’s experience reminds us that we’re not meant to go through life’s challenges alone. Never underestimate the power of prayer – or the comfort of talking to someone who understands.
If you’re going through something tough or simply need a listening ear, our chaplain, Delmar Weaver, is here for you. Don’t hesitate to reach out!
