We’re delighted to bring you this new season of shows, filled with fun laughter, drama, suspense and wonder.
Operation Mincemeat leads the way in an electrifying new line up of blockbuster shows with feel-good romcom Legally Blonde the Musical and a brand new production of Alan Cumming and Forbes Masson’s hit The High Life. The Talented Mr Ripley and Hamlet will thrill drama fans while the enchanting Nutcracker in Havana and Scottish Ballet’s Starstruck will captivate audiences.
But that’s not all! Comedic titans Daniel Sloss and Connor Burns are the latest big names to join the ranks of the Aberdeen Comedy Festival. We also have a spectacular showcase of global talent at this year’s International Season, including the raw energy and astounding physicality of Wolf by Circa, and the authentic and original choreography and acrobatics of Afrique en Cirque.

A festive favourite with a Cuban twist.
Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana is back by popular demand, following a hugely successful premiere sell-out tour. A Cuban take on the favourite festive classic, the production explodes onto the His Majesty’s Theatre stage, featuring new choreography by Carlos Acosta CBE and performed by more than 20 dancers from his Cuban company, Acosta Danza.
Set to an exuberant Cuban version of the magnificent Tchaikovsky score, enriched with Acosta Danza’s unique balletic style and with Cuban dance traditions.
Nutcracker in Havana fuses this festive treat with a little Havana heat.

Touching, funny and utterly original, Freckle Productions’ delightful adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Stick Man is back in town!
What starts off as a morning jog becomes quite the misadventure for Stick Man: a dog wants to play fetch with him, a swan builds a nest with him, and he even ends up on a fire! How will Stick Man ever get back to the family tree?

Grampian Hospitals Art Trust (GHAT) celebrates their 40th anniversary with a selection of works from their first show at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, which formed the basis of GHAT’s current collection. Some of these artworks have not been on display in the hospitals for several years, so this exhibition offers an opportunity to rediscover significant early works by influential artists working in the city, whilst inspiring conversations about the importance of culture for health and wellbeing outside of the clinical context.
GHAT is an arts in health charity working across the Grampian region. As well as holding a collection of over 4,000 artworks on display across over 40 healthcare venues, we are also the only organisation with a 24/7 professional commissioning gallery in an acute hospital in the UK.

What happens at Earth’s poles affects us all; combined, they are our planet’s thermostat. Loss of ice in these places has a direct impact on our seas globally; and weather, perhaps the principal consideration for all who go to sea, becomes increasingly unpredictable.
This generative artwork explores global warming and ice-melt, with the 2025 Tall Ships Races as an anchor.

The chronoscope is designed to not only tell the time but also convey how, why and what time really is. As each slender slither of time bursts into being, the chronoscope gauges the exact nature of that particular moment and visualises it. (It is no wonder that the chronoscope sometimes runs a little slow.)
‘Chronoscope’ will be shown simultaneously in the exhibition ‘Hall of Hours’ at Edinburgh Printmakers as part of the 2025 Edinburgh Art Festival.

Expect a show full of fast, fabulously funny improvised games, scenes, stories and laugh out loud surrealism as these two masters of Comedy Improvisation join forces.
You may know her as Bake-Off Sue, Taskmaster Sue, Just A Minute Sue, or the Sue that gives you travel envy – but stand-up Sue is full of surprises. In this brand-new show, her first live show in over a decade, she shares the unlikely happenings from a career in the spotlight.
Josh Widdicombe is back on tour, not again! By now he has almost certainly mastered the art of stand-up, either that or he has wasted the last 15 years of his life. Come along and decide for yourself. Expect it to be shorter and with lower production values than Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, but funnier and with more references to tea. Age Rec. 14+.

Our venues are all located conveniently in the heart of Aberdeen City, within a few minutes walking distance of city centre bus and train stations. If you are travelling by car, parking is available at the Denburn and Gallowgate car parks.
There is street to seat access for everyone in all of our venues and wheelchair spaces available, in the stalls and the balcony at the Music Hall and in the stalls and dress circle at His Majesty’s Theatre – please request at time of booking.
