The success of all candidates-national, state, city and county candidates--depends on local grassroots organizing--getting your neighbors out to VOTE, and then to register voters, knock on doors, make phone calls, write postcards and spend countless hours performing other critical tasks to Get Out the Vote (GOTV). NEBCD recruits, trains and organizes those volunteers and provides a home base for candidates, volunteers and voters.
Many state and local candidates don’t have sufficient money or staff to support a robust political campaign. Donations go to national campaigns instead. For 29 years, NEBCD has helped fill that gap by organizing grassroots operations in Bexar County to build that essential back bench to position Democrats to win higher offices in the future.
