P rofessors Dean Rose Cu ison -Villazor was raised on Saipan and is an alumna of Mount Carmel School (?91). She is the Interim Dean of Rutgers Law School. She has taught at Southern Methodist University, Hofstra University, Columbia Law School, and UC Davis. She teaches, researches, and writes in the areas of immigration and citizenship law, property law, Asian Americans and the law, equal protection law, and critical race theory. Her research agenda explores the meaning of citizenship and the ways that legal systems determine membership and sense of belonging in the United States. Dean Cuison-Villazor received her Juris Doctor from American University School of Law and L.L.M. from Columbia Law School. She taught Property Law at the Judiciary Summer Pre-Law Program in 2022, 2014, and 2010.
Pr of essor Eu n Hee Han was raised on Saipan and attended Saipan Community School. She is an Associate Professor of Law at Georgetown Law Center in Washington, D.C. Professor Han previously taught first-year Legal Research and Writing and directed the upper level writing program at The George Washington University. She also taught Legal Research and Writing at Brooklyn Law School. Her areas of scholarly interest include cross-cultural communication and the intersection of language, culture and law. She regularly teaches global J.D. and LL.M. students. Professor Han received her Center. She holds an M.P.P Washington University. Prior counsel at Certified Financial and was an associate at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.

C ourses T he JUDICIARY SUMMER PRE-LAW PROGRAM provides participants with an opportunity to experience first-year law school courses taught by seasoned law school professors. It includes two substantive law school subjects--Legal W riting and Analysis and Property Law -- and culminates with a moot court component (appellate oral argument) in the NMI Supreme Court. In addition, the program offers a Law School Admission Test (LSAT) preparation workshop and guidance in law school admission applications.
The professors introduced the students to the Socratic Method--question after question about cases were asked in an effort to develop critical thinking.
M entors Each participant ispaired with a mentor who providesguidance during the Program. It is our desire that thementor-menteerelationship continuesduring the law school application process and well after admissions.
