“Edgewood College professors brought out the best in me as a student by being creative when developing their class structure. Some examples of experiences or projects that furthered my development included site visits to some of the top companies in Madison where we met with executives at the company, resume/cover letter workshops, interning for class credit, and a capstone class where we created our own startup company. My education at Edgewood College pushed me out of my comfort zone which allowed me to grow as both a person and a student.”

“My experience at Edgewood College not only prepared me for my career, but it also prepared me for life outside of my career. With many of the courses building on skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving, I learned important life skills which helped me grow as a person and learn to better communicate. What proved most valuable, however, was the support I received from my professors and my internship supervisors at Edgewood College. Without their support I would not be where I am today. Edgewood College was one of the best decisions I have ever made!”

“It was one of my professors (Binbin Fu in the School of Integrative Studies) who introduced me to China. I became more interested in China as my language studies progressed and as I received more in-depth training about China’s history from Jinxing Chen (Professor, History Department). I interned in the 798 Art District in Beijing shortly after my graduation…. And I was hooked. China was an interesting place with friendly people, and there was a massive need for English teachers, so I had a stable job waiting for me. It made sense. I just needed to pack my bags and buy the ticket.”
