The state-of-the-art Rescue Training Center was opened on the Pryor Campus in 2017 to offer a variety of customized, scenariobased training for industrial and public safety clients.

HAZARDOUS WASTE SITE WORKER
If you work within a hazardous waste site, OSHA requires you to be familiar with the methods and procedures to protect yourself and others from the safety and health risks of hazardous materials. This course provides an opportunity for hands-on skills development and meets OSHA 1910.120 and EPA 40 CFR for hazardous waste site workers.
HAZMAT COURSES
This training meets the OSHA requirements of hazardous material technician-level for emergency responders as outlined in the standard for Hazwoper standard 29CFR 1910.120(q). This course is recommended for industrial and manufacturing personnel who are assigned to industrial emergency teams with the responsibility of responding to hazardous material releases within their site. An annual refresher course is also available for those who have completed Hazardous Materials Waste Site Worker Training and Hazardous Materials Technician Training.
INDUSTRIAL ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN I/II & III These 40-hour courses are designed for industrial and municipal emergency response team members who may be called on to respond to more advanced and complex high angle technical rescues in an industrial facility. Industrial Rescue is 95% hands-on training that provides the skills necessary to meet OSHA and NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue standards. These realistic scenarios can be used to document practice requirements required by NFPA 1006. Classroom lecture will cover applicable OSHA, ANSI and NFPA 1006, 1670 standards.
CONFINED SPACE RESCUE COURSES
Confined spaced supervisor, attendant/hole watch and entrant 16-hour course meets the requirements of OSHA 29CFR 1910.146. Students will become confident confined space supervisors, attendants/hole watchers and entrants during the hands-on skill training. The 50hour comprehensive Confined Space Rescue Technician prepares industrial emergency response team members and municipal first responders to safely manage a confined space rescue incident. This course meets NFPA 1006 and OSHA 1910.146 standards. A Confined Space Rescue Technician refresher course is also available. These courses include scenario-based rescues and are designed toward your representative spaces.
ATMOSPHERIC RESCUE TECHNICIAN (ART)
This 36-hour course is designed for the industrial or municipal emergency response teams who are Confined Space Rescue Technicians. Students will utilize SCBA’s and Supplied Air Respirator systems for an all hands-on class consisting of atmospheric rescues.
TEAM SKILLS ASSESSMENT (TSA)
This class can be a TSA for Confined Space Rescue Technician or Industrial Rope Access Technician or a combination of both. Team Skills Assessments (TSA) are designed to knock the rust off and evaluate the competency of your rescue team. These hands-on classes consist of rescue scenarios to challenge your team and identify areas where additional training may be needed. Each scenario is graded and debriefed to help your team with proficiency and competencies to meet the OSHA 1910.146 or NFPA 1006. This class is customized to your team’s availability and can be an 8-hour, 16-hour or 36-hour course.
INDIVIDUAL SKILLS ASSESSMENT (ISA)
This class can be an ISA for Confined Space Rescue Technician, Industrial Rope Access Technician or a combination of both. This course is designed to help individuals through skill stations that each team member can complete by themselves. They are graded and debriefed confidentially on areas of concern so all team members are proficient and comfortable with the skills needed to be proficient to conduct successful outcomes.

M A I N T E N A NC E VIBRATION ANALYSIS
HVAC
In this class, students will practice industryrelevant skills including how to use a vibration meter to take a vibration measurement, how and where to take measurements on various types of power transmission systems, how to analyze the results, and how to minimize vibration.
Northeast Tech HVAC training offers two classes: Thermal Science and HVAC Troubleshooting. The Thermal Science class provides the knowledge and equipment necessary to comprehend the principles of modern thermal systems, such as HVAC, geothermal, refrigeration, and steam systems. Northeast Tech uses a hands-on learning system that performs heat pump, air conditioning and refrigeration operation to teach valuable HVAC troubleshooting skills.
BASIC & LASER SHAFT ALIGNMENT In this course students will use components including multiple belt and chain drives, sheaves and sprockets with bushings, gear and grid couplings, and silent chain drives to study alignment methods to enable them to align equipment to the precise tolerances needed for efficient operation. Students will learn basic alignment techniques using the rim and face alignment method and reverse indicator alignment method.
AC/DC ELECTRICAL THEORY This AC/DC Electrical Theory course explores the fundamental concepts of AC and DC electrical systems. Learners will see how electricity is used for power and control in industrial and commercial applications. This training system covers industry-relevant technical skills including how to operate, install, design, and troubleshoot basic AC and DC electrical circuits for various applications. Students will study topics such as manual input devices, voltage measurement, lighting circuits, voltage dividers, and troubleshooting.
LADDER LOGIC & MOTOR CONTROLS In the ladder logic portion of the class, students will learn how to interpret, design, and operate relay control circuits using ladder diagrams. In the Motor Controls I portion, students will cover topics like three-wire start/stop control, reversing magnetic motor starter, and ondelay and off-delay timers that can be used to practice hands-on skills. Students can then advance to Motor Controls II where they will continue to practice real-world troubleshooting on actual industrial components.
PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS (PLCS) Our PLCs training offers two classes: AB SLC500 and AB 5000. In the AB SLC500 course, students will learn how the SLC500 model programmable logic controller is used in industrial, commercial, and residential applications. The AB 5000 course covers Allen Bradley Control Logix PLCx.
HYDRAULICS This training is offered in three levels: basic, intermediate and advanced. Students start in Basic Hydraulics by learning industryrelevant skills while showing how they apply to fundamental hydraulic principles. Participants build on this knowledge by learning more advanced systems in the intermediate class. The Advanced Hydraulics class covers a range of topics like hydraulic motor types, hydraulic formulas, hydraulic conductor types, filtration methods, and reservoirs.
PNEUMATICS Our Industrial Maintenance Training offers three different levels of Pneumatics: basic, intermediate and advanced. These courses build off one another. Participants will start by learning major topic areas such as pneumatic power systems, basic pneumatic circuits, principles of pneumatic pressure and flow, and pneumatic speed control circuits. Students will finish with learning how air bearing, pneumatic motors and pneumatic cylinders are used to move loads, as well as applications for vacuums such as food packaging, and how to measure vacuum levels.
MECHANICAL DRIVES This training offers four different courses: Mechanical Drives I, Mechanical Drives II, Mechanical Drives III and Mechanical Drives IV. Each of these classes is the prerequisite for the class after it. Students in this program will start with learning fundamentals of mechanical transmission systems and finish the training by learning linear axis drives, clutch and brakes in Mechanical Drives IV.
