This designation places Marshall among the top six percent of colleges and universities in the nation and is the second-highest classification an institution can receive from the organization.

Campus Housing As a first-year student, you can make your home in one of several residence hall communities. Living on campus gives you the chance to make friends and find community through programing, activities, and Living Learning Community Houses. Even though Marshall’s campus is easy to walk, each student has the option to have their own car on campus.

Admissions Marshall University is certified by U.S. Department of Homeland Security to accept F-1 and J-1 students. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Official transcript or external course-by-course transcript evaluation by a NACES or AICE accredited agency, such as WES or IEE. Proof of English proficiency: 4.0 or 72 TOEFL / 6.0 IELTS / 90 Duolingo. Minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, GPA requirements may vary by program. See website for full details. APPLICATION DEADLINES: JUNE 15 Deadline for students applying to the fall semester beginning in August. OCTOBER 15 Deadline for students applying to the spring semester beginning in January.
