Olive Ridley Turtle Protection Program
PROGRAMA DE PROTECCIÓN DE LA TORTUGA GOLFÍNA
El Hotel Marriott Puerto Vallarta cuenta con su propio programa de protección de la tortuga Golfina y en conjunto con el biólogo de la región, protegemos cientos de madres que desovan en nuestra playa y a sus crias. Los huevos son desenterrados y resguardados en el vivero hasta esperar el nacimiento de las crías el cual ocurre aproximadamente después de 45 días de encubación.
Al nacer, se llega la epoca más bonita: el tiempo de encaminar sus primeros aleteos en la arena rumbo al mar, actividad que realizamos en compañía de nuéstros huéspedes para que puedan vivir esta emotiva experiencia.
El Hotel recibe aproximadamente 400 tortugas por temporada y cada una de ellas desova de entre 80 a 120 huevos, esto durante la temporada que va del mes de junio al mes de enero.

The Marriott Ouerto Vallarta Hotel has its own Olive Ridley turtle protection program and together with the region’s biologist, we protect hundreds of mothers and their young that spawn on our beach. The eggs are unearthed and protected in the hatchery until the hatchlings are awaited, which occurs approximately after 90 days of incubation.
At birth, the most beautiful time arrives: the time to direct their first wingbeats in the sand towards the sea, an activity that we carry out in the company of our guests so that they can live this emotional experience.
The Hotel receives approximately 400 turtles per season and each of them lay between 80 to 120 eggs, this during the June to January season.
