Nothing spurs self-reflection quite like one’s Spotify Wrapped, because as we’re all aware, the one thing that data doesn’t do is lie.
Which leaves me no choice but to reckon with this:

Yes, you’re reading that correctly: Andrew Lloyd Webber, famed showtune composer, was my top artist this year, followed by Anton Dvořák, a Czech composer from the late 1800s.
This probably has you wondering, “what are two obscure men (one of whom is long dead) doing powering the mental motor of Marove Agency, THE digital solution central for women-owned businesses??”
What can I say, I’m a Broadway girlie! And, I like to work while listening to classical music, especially because I can’t simultaneously grind and listen to music with lyrics (the glaring exception being the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack...).
by Madelyn Veith, Founder
Considering that Ellie Goulding has been my unflinching top artist for the past 4 years, this year’s data is statistically significant: This was a year of putting in the work on Marove.
Through the motivational forces of this eclectic music selection, I got some big things in motion in 2024:
Redesigned my services packages
Upgraded my website
Collaborated with lots of really exciting clients
Contemplated new revenue growth strategies
Launched Magnifier Monthly 2.0
Unfortunately for my street cred, what you’re not seeing on this list is Megan Thee Stallion, my go-to hype woman. I like to listen to her music in the car, and especially Girls in the Hood after any and all obnoxious encounters with misogyny (if your ears are more on the sensitive side, do NOT click that link).
That genre signifies my other big action items this year:
Moved WHQ into an office
Attended an incalculable number of networking events
~Hired~ a bookkeeper
Relocated WHQ to another office
As per the cycles of life, this year saw the usual ups and downs. My biggest takeaway for 2024 was learning to ride those waves with confidence in myself that I’ll always find a way to keep things moving forward.
Thanks for “tuning” in () this year, and I hope you have a restful holiday season.
