Alumni Cadets

Scholar Athletes: Academics play an essential part in all aspects of the Marmion Advantage. Athletes are required to pass weekly grade checks to remain eligible to participate in their sport(s). Many athletes exceed this expectation and are recognized for their academic and athletic performance each season. Over the past 3 years approximately 75% of all Marmion varsity athletes maintained a 3.0 or higher GPA and were named Academic All-Conference by the Chicago Catholic League.

Students have the opportunity to get involved in many extracurricular activities at Marmion Academy. Athletes of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in one or more of the many sports we offer. Marmion athletes are dedicated, disciplined, motivated and respectful young men who represent their school with pride.

Hard work and dedication are two key factors in becoming a successful student athlete. Since 2015, over 65 Marmion athletes have gone on to play their sport at the collegiate level. Approximately half of these athletes were also rewarded for their time and talent in the form of an athletic college scholarship from some of the best colleges/ universities in the nation including (but not limited to): • University of Michigan • University of Minnesota • UNC, Chapel Hill • University of Pittsburgh • University of Wisconsin (Madison & Parkside) • Villanova

Beyond College

Several alumni have also extended their athletic careers beyond college. Marmion alumni athletes include: • an Olympic triathlete • several players drafted by MLB • five NFL players

Conferences

Marmion Academy is a proud member of the Chicago Catholic League (CCL), The Metro Catholic Aquatics Conference (MCAC) for swimming and The Chicago Catholic Hockey League (CCHL).

We compete within the guidelines of our governing body the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) .
