Tips & Tricks for phone photography

Use The Rule Of Thirds Getting focus and exposure right is crucial in photography, but composition is equally important. Without good composition, your photo isn’t likely to be very eye-catching. The rule of thirds involves mentally dividing up your image using two horizontal lines and two vertical lines, as shown below. You then position the important elements in your scene along those lines, or at the points where they meet. As always, rules are made to be broken! Sometimes the situation calls for a different approach. Don’t Use The Zoom If you want to take a photo of a far away subject, don’t use the zoom. Walk closer instead and use the camera as normal without any zoom. You’ll end up with a far better quality shot.

Take Multiple Shots If you see something that catches your eye don’t just take one shot and hope for the best. The chances of getting a good photo with your first shot are very slim. You should take shots from various angles and distances. Keep reviewing your photos as you go to get an idea of what is and what isn’t working. If you find an angle or point of view you like then take multiple shots from that position. This helps ensure that you get a well composed shot that is in sharp focus.

A CAMERA IS A SAVE BUTTON FOR THE MINDS EYE!

Shoot From Different Perspectives You should always look at alternative points of view when taking your photos at any location. Most beginners will take shots from a standing position, but the beauty of the Phone is that it’s so small and light it can be used in places that a bigger camera wouldn’t work. You should consider getting down low and shooting from ground level or you could also try shooting from high up to get a bird’s eye view of your subject.

Confessions of a photographer You may not be aware, but some of us were born with a photography mind. They see the world in photographs, squares and rectangles. Sometimes it's hard, but you will get used to it.

Celebrate life

Celebrate life They contacted me because they were going on vacation together to Curacao and wanted to celebrate life. Both of them went through a rough time, but during that time they became closer then ever. PHOTOFLASH the magazine | 12

So what better way then to celebrate this and capture these precious moments, during their vacation on Curacao.

Friendship Where would you be without your BFF? Childhood friends. School friends. Neighborhood friends. College friends. Work friends. Best friends. Boyfriends. Girlfriends. We work our entire lives building friendships. From preschool, where we all learn that "it takes a friend to make a friend," through adulthood, where we mingle at bars and water coolers, we crave closeness with other human beings. We just need to know that someone out there "gets us."

Whether we have a small group of close friends or an expanded group of personalities, each of our friendships brings something new to our lives, inspiring us to see the world a totally different way, giving us a new shoulder to lean on, and a new cheerleader to root us on. Friendships come in all sorts of forms: serious ones, like the college friend you discuss politics with, silly ones, like the squad you do Halloween with, chill ones, like your wine and Netflix buddy. Each friendship offers something totally unique — and irreplaceable. Each friendship ultimately makes us who we are.

This is why we spend so much time cultivating these relationships and learning how to be a good friend. This is why we show up after breakups, at graduations, at weddings, and at funerals. This is why near or far, our friends hold a special place in our hearts forever. We all know, a true friend is hard to find. So when you do find one, hang on tight!

The COLORS of Curacao

Pietermaai small I love Pietermaai. Small shops, bars, restaurants & hotels have found their home in Pietermaai District. Together they create a lively, cozy and safe part of Curaçao. Not all neglected monuments are restored yet, but that is what gives Pietermaai that special vivid and raw edge. In short, the right location for people looking for something really different. 2018

"I don't shoot what it looks like, i shoot what it feels like." 2018 what a great year . I went to New York City for the Fashion Week, made pictures of the shows and found time to do a city shoot in NY with a supermodel of only 7 years old. I was asked to deliver pictures for IBIZA MAGAZINE a dutch lifestyle magazine, for an article about Curacao. Totolika ( an organisation for special needs people and their family) asked me to make a picture for their billboard. Which will stand for 6 months on one of the crossroads in Curacao. And i did lots of great and fun shoots, with the best clients! Thanks everyone!! For believing in me and for helping me making my dreams come true!!
