Mark Miller Subaru and Utah Jazz team up for West Lake STEM Jr. High
Mark Miller Subaru is proud to be Utah’s only automotive retailer registered as a BenefitCorporation.
As a B-Corp, Mark Miller Subaru voluntarily commits to:
Have a corporate purpose to create a material positive impact on society and the environment.
Consider the impact of our decisions not only on stakeholders, but also on our employees, the community, and the environment.
Make available to the public an annual benefit report that assesses our overall social and environmental performance against a third party standard.
This is that report.
Greetings from Mark Miller Subaru
FRIENDS,
Change is one of the few constants in our universe, and as everyone has been experiencing the past few years, the landscape of the automotive industry is quickly changing. What the ultimate outcome of these changes means for the sector is anybody’s guess. Industry acronyms like ICE (internal combustible engine) and EV (eclectic vehicle) are now becoming mainstream language as the demand for electrification is surging. But us Utahns know how to deal with changing landscapes. Whether basking in the beauty of the seasonal changes or learning how to mitigate certain effects of climate change on western landscapes like the Great Salt Lake, change presents itself and we adapt.
Subaru of America has been quietly working to electrify its fleet, and we launched our first EV this year—the Solterra. This is the first of many electric and hybrid Subaru vehicles in the works, and we are excited to see what the future holds for the Subaru brand. While the demand for EVs is currently outpacing the production, we know the laws of supply and demand will bring this landscape into better balance. We commit to working with our customers to make sure they get the car they want as inventory starts to level out in the coming years.
As we navigate these changing landscapes, we are working hard to prepare for the future of the automotive industry. At Mark Miller Subaru, we have always prided ourselves on being innovators, leaders for positive change, and good stewards for and on behalf of our customers. What does that mean? It means leading by example and becoming Utah’s first Subaru stores to be certified as Subaru Eco-Friendly Retailers, changing our business to a Benefit-Corporation to hold ourselves accountable, installing over 1,200 solar panels on our rooftops to harness renewable energy, and recycling up to 75% of the water used in our carwashes. It means thinking about the future and installing more EV charging stations at our stores, offering our Promise Price model for a transparent and negotiation/pressure-free experience, and creating a welcoming space where everyone feels safe and comfortable. Lastly, it means working with community partners to protect our environment for generations to come. We do this not because it’s good for business, but because
it’s the right thing to do. We call this the Subaru Love Promise!
Through our sustainability and Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Mark Miller Subaru was awarded the Cox Automotive 2023 Leader in Sustainability Award. Along with Tom Doll and other Subaru executives, I was honored to receive this award at the NADA Conference in Dallas, TX in January 2023. While we certainly don’t make these changes for awards and praise, it does allow us a moment to step back and reflect on how far we have come and give credit where credit is due. We have roughly 250 employees who work tirelessly every day to make Mark Miller Subaru the example of what a good car retailer can and should be. Accountable, transparent, and always caring for people, pets, and the planet (three of the seven Core Values our staff live by).
As part of this designation, Cox Automotive gave Mark Miller Subaru a $10,000 award to use on sustainability projects, but we instead gifted this award to our Subaru Loves the Earth partner, HawkWatch International, to support their environmental conservation programs. We’re amazed by the work they do and lives they touch, and proud to be a longtime partner with such an astounding organization that is working to protect raptors and our shared environment.
By staying ahead of the changing landscape taking place in the automotive industry, and helping protect our environmental landscapes for future generations, Mark Miller Subaru is committed to being a good community partner for another 50 years!

PRINCIPLES OF LOVE IN ACTION
Rhett Allen is a Finance Manager at our South Towne store. His co-workers nominated him for a Love Promise employee of the month award last year because he is always working hard. “I’ve never seen him take a break or refuse a request from a customer or fellow employee. Just the other night he dropped what he was doing and helped a customer who came into the store late with tire trouble. He worked with them for over an hour to help get the customer’s vehicle in working order. He wasn’t asked to do this, and it isn’t necessarily part of his job duties. He just saw a customer in need and stepped in to help.” Thanks for always going above and beyond, Rhett, and congratulations on receiving the Love Promise employee of the month award!

I have seriously never had such a great experience buying a car. They were so thorough going over the paperwork. I’m used to dealers saying sign here and here and leaving not even knowing my interest rate. They exceeded all expectations and then some. I had 2 other cars that I wanted to test drive at other dealers before I decided what car to get and I canceled them as we were filling out the paperwork. Our salesperson asked if we wanted to go home and think about it for a day, not pushy at all, we signed our paperwork right then and there. I priced a tow package and he put it on our loan and I got a call within 2 days to schedule the install. The entire process was fantastic and smooth!

Mark Miller Subaru and their team have been our go-to resource since moving into the Salt Lake area about 6 years ago. Anthony in Finance and Mark on the sales team have been above and beyond any time I’ve reached out for information or with a need. Their team’s helpfulness was always the same whether we were there for a service help with the technology or looking for a new car.
Mike L.
Great, honest, and friendly people! I highly recommend this dealership! I will drive from Ogden to Salt Lake to get my Outback serviced. Super impressed with the way they get you in and out and explain the details. Very smooth running shop and very impressed by their staff.

SUBA BLEU’S HAZY HUNT FOR HOPE
Suba Bleu hosted a special scavenger hunt style event to get the public searching for seven keys, one of which unlocked his vault containing $2,500 in cash. Each week, a riddle was dropped to help people find the key. Not only did we hide one of the keys at Proper Taproom, we partnered for one of their trivia nights and sprinkled in some Subaru trivia questions for some extra Subaru prizes. At the end of the seven weeks, we hosted a vault opening party at Proper Burger with everyone who found a key. One lucky key holder walked away with $2,500 in cold hard cash!
SUBA BLEU’S HAZY NOT HAZY
Mark Miller Subaru partnered with Proper Brewing Co. this year to create a special brew just for the Subaru Share the Love Event. Our Suba Bleu’s Hazy Not Hazy Pale Ale was sold in all Proper restaurants, taproom, and beer store. Proper generously donated a portion of each can sold to support our two hometown charity partners, writing checks for more than $2,000! Thanks to everyone who helped support these charities by drinking for a good cause. We can’t wait to partner with Proper Brewing again next year and see what special brew they create!
RETURN THE LOVE
Nothing feels better than giving love away, and for the third time, Mark Miller Subaru was able to #ReturnTheLove to one lucky person! That’s because every customer who purchased or leased a new Subaru from Mark Miller Subaru during the Subaru Share the Love Event was entered into a drawing to have three years of payments forgiven (up to $10,800). Congratulations to Steve Wilson who attended our Return the Love event on April 29, 2023 and was picked as our lucky winner!

To honor their hard work day in and day out, we hosted a “treat our teachers” day in spring 2023 with a free catered lunch, gifts and giveaways, and a tribute video showcasing notes of thanks from their students. Right as the teachers were getting comfortable being catered to, a special appearance by the Utah Jazz Bear brought some color and lively energy to the group. Nearly 2.3 million pounds of wrapping waste from the holidays ends up in landfills across the country every year. Mark Miller Subaru hosted our 5th annual Wrapping Paper Collection Event to provide a place where the public can recycle wrapping paper after the holidays and keep it out of our landfills. A huge thanks to everyone who helped us fill 11 large Zero Waste boxes from TerraCycle, properly recycling more than 200 pounds of holiday gift waste. A common mistake many people make around the holidays is loading their recycling bins with wrapping paper, tissue, ribbons, and more. Unfortunately, the shiny, laminated paper is, in fact, not recyclable in most circumstances. Did you know, you can collect your snack wrappers and disposable cups, lids, and straws at home and drop them off at Mark Miller Subaru in our TerraCycle Zero Waste Boxes for proper recycling? To celebrate Subaru Loves Pets month in October, Mark Miller Subaru partnered with Nuzzles & Co. to support one of our favorite pet rescue and adoption centers by making a $6,200 donation and helping a total of 161 pets find their forever homes. Nearly 60,000 shelter animals have been adopted in the last two years alone since Subaru began our national Subaru Loves Pets adoption campaign. Looking to adopt? Browse current adoptable pets at nuzzlesandco.org, and let’s help love win!
FREE VACCINATION AND FOOD PANTRY FOR PETS
Mark Miller Subaru joined up with Street Dawg Crew of Utah and Animal Care Center to support pets and pet
owners in need. More than 200 pets were served with free vaccinations, microchips, and pet food in April 2022. Volunteers setup in Pioneer Park for four hours to make sure everyone received the help they needed. The line stayed consistently long, and the positive attitudes were strong! Learn about how our Loves Pets partner, Streeg Dawg Crew of Utah, helps pets of homeless and other vulnerable populations at streetdawgcrew.org.
NATIONAL MAKE A DOGS DAY CELEBRATION
On October 22, 2022, Mark Miller Subaru celebrated National Make a Dog’s Day with over a dozen pet vendors providing free pet adoptions (Nuzzles & Co.), free pet microchips (Salt Lake County Animal Services), free pet portraits (Fuzzy Love Photography), free pet treats (Street Dog Crew of Utah), and a variety of vendors selling homemade pet treats and handmade leashes, collars, and other pet accessories. It was a cold, wet and windy fall day, but all our pet vendors and ruff-ly 1,000 guests braved the weather to make this our most successful Subaru Loves Pets event ever! At the end of the day, six dogs and three kittens were adopted, and 85 pets were microchipped. The highlights of the event were our pet costume contest and our Baja Toy Grab, where we filled the back of a Subaru Baja with dog toys of all sizes and used a Subaru Pet Accessories ramp for hundreds of dogs to walk into the back of the Baja and pick out their favorite smelling toy.

DINOSAURS FOR ALL AT I DIG
Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum opened their newest exhibit last year. I Dig Dinos is a new paleontology exhibit where kids get to dig for fossils, take them to the lab and identify their find under a microscope, interact with real fossils found in Utah, and learn about kids who have actually discovered dinosaurs. Mark Miller Subaru attended the special opening event to interact with guests and hand out dino eggs for all kids to take home and excavate their very own dinosaur toy. Subaru Loves Learning, and everyone loves dinosaurs!
SUPPORTING TEACHERS THROUGH ADOPT-A-CLASS.ORG PARTNERSHIP
Most teachers spend on average $750 out of their own pocket every year on supplies for students who cannot afford them. That’s why last year Subaru of America, Inc. partnered with Adopt-A-Classroom. org as the national Subaru Loves Learning partner. Adopt-A-Classroom.org is a nonprofit that helps teachers get the school supplies they need for their students, so students can focus on what matter most— learning. In the second year of partnership, Subaru and participating retailers across the nation supported 114,000 students. Locally, Mark Miller Subaru adopted 6 classrooms each at Farnsworth Elementary and Kearns Jr. High to help STEM teachers by donating $6,000 to help them purchase classroom supplies for their classrooms. You can help and adopt a teacher at adoptaclassroom.org.
NEW MARK MILLER SUBARU EXHIBIT COMING TO DISCOVERY GATEWAY CHILDREN’S MUSEUM IN 2024
After five years of our Mark Miller Subaru Express Service Exhibit inside Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, we are excited to announce we will be redesigning and launching a new permanent exhibit inside the Museum in 2024. This new exhibit will be designed and built in-house by the Museum’s exhibit staff. Stay tuned for more information and our launch party next year. In the meantime, make sure to visit our Express Service Exhibit while it’s still open, where young children learn about the science that drives vehicles like the Subaru Ascent. Visit discoverygateway.org to learn more and see Museum hours of operation.

CELEBRATING 4TH OF JULY WITH CONTINUE MISSION
To celebrate Independence Day, we teamed up with Continue Mission to host a craft making booth at the Sandy July 4th Freedom Day event. Thousands of residents attended for a full day of vendors, music, food, a parade, and a fireworks finale. Everyone who stopped by our booth learned about the veteran services provided by Continue Mission, and made a personalized bracelet or necklace with red, white, and blue beads. What a spectacular event hosted by Sandy City! Learn more about Continue Mission and how they’re helping veterans at continuemission.org.
PROUD TO HONOR OUR STAFF VETERANS
Mark Miller Subaru honored our staff veterans with a special token of our appreciation for their service. Jeff Miller personally thanked each of them and presented them with a Veterans Day challenge coin and personal note of thanks. Every year we honor several staff members who served in the military at some point in their life. Some served in the Vietnam War and some served in the Iraqi War, but all of our staff veterans sacrificed many years of their lives to serve and protect our country. Thank you for your service!
SALUTING UTAH VETERANS ON VETERANS DAY
Veterans Day is a time for the nation to give pause and honor the countless neighbors, friends, family, and other individuals who have served our country to defend democracy and our freedoms. For the fourth year, Mark Miller Subaru teamed up with our Subaru Loves Veteran partner, Continue Mission, on Veterans Day to honor the men and women who have “watched our six” and kept us safe over the years! To celebrate their service, we held an open nomination process for people to submit a veteran they know or love to have a special sign placed in their yard on Veterans Day that reads “A Veteran Lives Here.” For each sign registration, Mark Miller Subaru donated $10 to Continue Mission, placing 150 signs in the yards of local veterans throughout Salt Lake County and surrounding areas, and donating $1,500 to Continue Mission. Although we work each and every day to honor our veterans, there’s something special about Veterans Day when we all come together to voice our thanks and love to the many men and women who served our great nation!

DONATING BLOOD TO SAVE LIVES
Mark Miller Subaru partners with ARUP to host onsite blood donation drives with our employees. ARUP Blood Services is a nonprofit collection center and sole blood provider for University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and South Jordan Health Center. In the past few years, our staff have donated 82 units of blood. Each unit saves three lives on average, so staff donations have helped save the lives of approximately 246 local Utahns. You can schedule a blood drive for your work or donate blood yourself at ARUP Blood Services at utahblood.org
PIZZA ACROSS AMERICA SUPPORTS YOUTH RESOURCE CENTER
National Pizza Day takes place every February. To celebrate, we partnered with Bella Pizza Truck to provide free pizza dinner to all the unsheltered youth at the VOA Youth Resource Center. We also raised $800 in staff donations through a pizza day at Mark Miller Subaru where employees donated $2 per slice. On Random Acts of Kindness Day, February 17, we delivered our donations and several boxes of handwarmers to help keep VOA’s unsheltered clients warm over the weekend. You can support at voaut.org.
SERVING HOT MEALS TO HELP FEED HOMELESS YOUTH
Volunteers of America, Utah’s Youth Resource Center is a drop-in resource center and emergency shelter for all youth aged 15-22 imminently at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. Approximately 400 youth are served every year through a variety of programs to help feed, shelter, and case manage these individuals. Over the past year, Mark Miller Subaru staff have been volunteering their time to serve up monthly hot meals. Nothing was more special than spending time with some of the YRC youth on Christmas Day when we served breakfast and gave out Christmas presents. Valentine’s Day was made special when we served a Prime Rib steak dinner with hand-dipped chocolatecovered strawberries for dessert. A big thanks to Carvers Steaks and Seafood for donating the steaks and sides, and to CAWS who brought some adorable foster dogs for the youth to love on. Engaging other businesses and organizations in the Subaru Love Promise is what made this dinner extra special!

DONATING 1,000 PAIRS TO SOCKS HELP UNSHELTERED YOUTH
Socks are always one of the most requested items at shelters. To celebrate our inaugural Subaru Loves to Help month in February 2023, Mark Miller Subaru donated 1,000 pairs of socks to the Volunteers of America’s Youth Resource Center and Granite Education Foundation to help our unsheltered youth. Nationally, Subaru of America and local retailers have donated a total of 500,000 pairs of socks and 100,000 warm blankets to those most in need through the Subaru Loves to Help initiative!

MARK MILLER SUBARU STAFF GIVE BACK
The Subaru Love Promise isn’t just about donating money, it’s about “Leaving Our MARK” in our community and supporting in any way possible. Mark Miller Subaru staff stepped up this past year to volunteer a recordbreaking amount of their time to support our partners. Whether it be serving monthly meals at the VOA Youth Resource Center to unsheltered youth, helping prepare snack kits and back-to-school backpacks for kids served by Granite Education Foundation, helping setup YWCA’s Candy Cane Lane, or volunteering through the United Way of Salt Lake’s Day of Giving to help paint at Cottonwood High School, we could not be more proud of our staff for going above and beyond to live the Subaru Love Promise in their everyday lives! Visit us on social media @mmsubaru and tell us how you #LeaveYourMARK.
BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF UTAH GETS A REFRESH
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America went through a rebrand a few years ago, but it takes time and money for the hundreds of local chapters across the country to update their buildings, trucks, collection bins, and more. Last year, Mark Miller Subaru helped Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah get new window graphics at their Donation Center in Holladay. Not only did this help reduce sun and heat in the building and provide extra security on the front doors, but the window vinyl gave a much-needed refresh with the new Big Brothers Big Sisters branding and image to help align them with the national look. Next time you have some gently used clothes or home goods to donate, visit the BBBSU Donation Center in Holladay to drop off your goods and check out the new window graphics. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to our culture. It drives how we make decisions and how we treat each other as humans. PROUD TO SHOW OUR COLORS AND SUPPORT OUR FAMILY
June is always one of our favorites months—the start of event season and the celebration of Utah Pride Month. Once again, we partnered with Project Rainbow to leave our collective “MARK” at over 5,000 houses through their Spreading Love campaign. Utahns across the state signed up to have a Pride Flag placed in their yard during the week of Utah Pride, and an army of more than 200 volunteers helped install the flags in yards. The money raised goes into Project Rainbow’s Community Fund, which finances projects and events that promote LGBTQIA+ visibility in Utah. To kick-off the month, Mark Miller Subaru staff served a Pride breakfast at the VOA Youth Resource Center. Did you know that 40% of those who utilize the Youth Resource Center identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community? Providing a safe space to love and be loved is one of the best ways we can support our community. Join the Spread Love and get a Pride flag in your yard, visit projectrainbowutah.org.
MARK MILLER SUBARU STANDS AGAINST RACISM
On International Women’s Day 2022, we featured some of the powerful women who help make Mark Miller Subaru a diverse and wonderful place to work, visit, and do business. IWD is an opportunity to reflect on
all that women in our community (including non-binary, transgender, and women of color) have done to fight for equality, inclusion, diversity, empathy, respect, and so much more! In fact, we were honored to work with our Loves Diversity partner, YWCA Utah, to further this effort. Today and every day is a time to honor and thank women who have paved the path for future generations of young women. We supported and partnered in their Stand Against Racism Challenge to help further everyone’s learning in race equity and focus on ways to dismantle racism as a community. You can get involved at ywcautah.org
MAKING ART AND BUILDING AWARENESS FOR YWCA UTAH
The Utah Arts Festival is an amazing event that showcases artists across the state. Last year we supported the festival and had a booth with YWCA Utah in the Emerging Artists section to help explore artists who are breaking barriers in our community. The Emerging Artists program provides opportunities and a platform for under-recognized artists to show their work and evolve in a variety of genres and mediums. Mark Miller Subaru and YWCA Utah were spreading awareness on the work of the organization and letting participants make free spin art creations. When we come together to break barriers, anything is possible!

Transgender Day of Remembrance: Even Just One Flag is Too Many
– Jake B.
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) occurs each year on November 20th to honor the lives lost the prior year to transphobic violence and suicide. To help raise awareness and honor the lives lost, a somber display of Transgender Pride flags is created at Washington Square Park in Salt Lake City each year. The flags are on display for the entire week, Transgender Awareness Week, leading up to TDoR. It takes over a dozen volunteers more than seven hours to erect the display featuring more than 400 flags, each representing a documented life lost during the last 12 months to transphobic violence or suicide. Accompanying each flag is the name, age, photo, and cause of death of the individual for which the flag hangs in reverence. With the support and encouragement of my employer, Mark Miller Subaru, I was able to co-chair Project Rainbow’s Steering Committee for set-up of this year’s memorial display. Our first volunteers arrived at 8:30 AM to load supplies and materials from a storage unit into a moving truck and deliver them to the memorial site. Our volunteers stayed late working tirelessly in the 30-degree weather. A warm catered lunch, provided by Mark Miller Subaru, was a more than welcomed break allowing volunteers to rest, warm up, and continue on. Mark Miller Subaru has a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equality for all. Their website states “As a growing business, our goal is to partner with local nonprofits [such as Project Rainbow] to make our world a more just and diverse place and learn from their expertise on ways to continually align our values with our actions. From our staff to our customers and beyond, Mark Miller Subaru is PROUD to support our LGBTQ+ community through our actions, partnerships, and philanthropy. When it comes to embracing diversity, equity and inclusion, we strive to leave our MARK!” One flag was of particular importance to me personally. My best friend lost his only child, his transgender daughter, to suicide in March of this year. Her name, photo, and story hang alongside one of the flags--one of far too many flags. Only in times of greatest crises can we survive and grow as a community!

Learning is the single most important thing for students when they go to school, but when you don’t have school supplies or go to school on an empty stomach, learning can be difficult. Several staff members from Mark Miller Subaru recently volunteered at the Granite Education Foundation to stuff new backpacks with school supplies in preparation for back-to-school season. In total, 12 employees prepared 931 backpacks that were distributed to students in August for the 2022/2023 school year. Granite School District, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, operates 90 schools. With more than 64,000 students, Granite is the second largest district in Utah and is among the largest public districts in the nation. It’s also the most diverse district in the state, home to 70% of Utah’s refugee population living within district boundaries, which includes an amazing 106 languages and dialects spoken among students. Unfortunately, these are the populations that experience poor socioeconomic conditions, and 54% of district students live at or below poverty level and 3.25 of 5 students are “food insecure.” To help these families and students, the Granite Education Foundation was founded in 1988. The organization is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit that works to improve the academic success and wellbeing of each student with a particular emphasis on supporting students at risk of not graduating. This is accomplished through the engagement of business and community partners in the support of Granite School District and the academic achievement of all its students. Students and families served by the organization are low-income and underserved populations that struggle to meet some of the basic needs for their children. When students go to school hungry or without warm clothes or don’t have access to essential school supplies, it creates learning barriers that no student should have to face for the simple act of trying to get a good education. Granite Education Foundation helps fill these gaps by providing weekend food kits and school snacks, new clothing, school supplies, and other items for basic needs that students encounter at home or at school. By working directly with teachers and student advocates, individual student needs are identified, and support is provided with dignity in mind so that students maintain privacy and avoid being labeled or picked on by other students for any reason. Together, the Foundation and teachers provide the necessary support students need to not only succeed in the classroom, but to also succeed in life. Supporting our students is exactly what the Subaru Loves Learning initiative is all about, and Mark Miller Subaru is proud to be a business partner with the Granite Education Foundation, helping them to fulfill their mission of improving academic success for students in our community! There’s a reason Subaru of America was selected as one of The Civic 50, the 50 most community-minded companies in the nation, because we care deeply about our local communities, and Mark Miller Subaru will continue to be an example of how a local business can be successful AND a good community member that gives time, money, and resources to help the causes that matter most!

Helping Ourselves to Better Help Our Customers and Community
– Nate L.
Subaru Loves to Care and Subaru and its retailers know this extends to our staff as much as our customers and local communities. Mark Miller Subaru recently held our annual Health and Wellness Fair to support the wellbeing of our staff, which included a variety of physical, mental, and financial health vendors and fundraising opportunities for our partner United Way of Salt Lake. The Fair takes place during our yearly employee payroll giving program with United Way, and for several years now our staff has achieved 100% of employee payroll giving to support the important work of United Way, donating more than $30,000 annually to help every child and family in Salt Lake succeed in school and in life. Our Wellness and Culture Departments welcomed vendors Intermountain Health Care Employee Assistance Program, DexaBody, Vasa Fitness, Wellcents Financial Services, Fit To Recover, Foot Zoning, The Joint Chiropractic, Planned Parenthood, MMS Cares (staff grant program), MMS Wellness, and United Way of Salt Lake. Each vendor talked to staff about their services and provided giveaway opportunities. ARUP Blood Services, a Utah-based blood bank, brought their mobile blood bus on-site for staff to donate and help save lives in our community, with a total of 27 units of blood donated by employees (each unit of blood has the potential to save up to three lives)! Who says you can’t have fun while taking care of yourself and others? As part of our Loves to Care activities, staff hosted some extra FUN-draising games, like paying $5 for a basketball free throw to win raffle tickets and a “pie in the face” game where staff donated for the chance to pie their fellow coworkers (in a fun and playful manner). No one was above a pie in the face for charity! Staff donated to nominate other staff members for a pie, and when that employee received $50 in donations, they got a face full of pie. Even Jeff Miller, Mark Miller Subaru CEO and General Manager, raised $150 to get three pies in his face! In total, staff raised an additional $2,200 for United Way of Salt Lake!! Nothing brings people to the party like free food, which is why the Mark Miller Subaru café catered a healthy and free lunch for all staff, with a spud (baked potato) bar and a side salad. With all this fun, it’s no wonder Mark Miller Subaru staff look forward to our annual Health and Wellness Fair. Employees learn how to take care of themselves so that we can take care of our customers and community. Together, we work every day to live the Subaru Loves to Care commitment!

CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY WITH MY STREET DAWG CREW
I feel so lucky to have been surrounded by so many awesome coworkers that celebrated me on my 7th birthday! In lieu of bones and treats, I asked all my furiends to donate to Street Dawg Crew of Utah to help me give back. We raised over $300 to buy food for those furry pets living on the streets.
GIDDY UP COWDOGS
Volunteers of America, Utah hosts their annual Silver Spurs event to raise so much money for my hooman friends living on the streets. I dressed to impress for this special event!
I LOVE ADOPTIONS
Here I am taking notes before I went to Farnsworth Elementary to deliver some classroom supplies we were donating to teachers. As part of Subaru Loves Learning, Mark Miller Subaru partnered with Adopt-A-Classroom.org to support several teachers with a $500 credit to help them get the supplies they need for students.
JOB SHADOWING
What a fun day getting to shadow one of the best jobs around— our receptionist! It was National Receptionist Day, and I had some extra licks to give. I really like being the first to greet all the hoomans that walk in. The receptionists at @mmsubaru are pretty paw-some if you ask me!

OUTFITS FOR ALLIES
One of my hooman besties, Shireen Ghorbani, and I tried on several outfits for the annual Equality Utah Allies Dinner. This is one of my favorite events and supports one of my favorite organizations. It was hard to choose; luckily, Shireen is a style and outfit guru. Check out the rest of our outfits on my Instagram @subableumiller.
SERIOUS CEREAL FOR A SERIOUS CAUSE
I helped my friends over at Mount Jordan Middle School by dropping off a Subaru full of cereal boxes to distributed to students experiencing homelessness. Two paws up for this important program! By taking some breakfast to my friends, I hope it helps them excel in class with one less worry!
RESPECT FOR SERVICE
So many of my furiends have a pawrent who is a veteran, so I went out with my co-workers to deliver special signs to lots of veterans who live by us. I got to work with Continue Mission on this project. I love the work they do for veterans!
HOPPY, HOPPY, JOY, JOY
Although I don’t think pink is my color, I put on my best bunny ears to head to a Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Youthlinc. Our friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah were attending the event and collecting clothing donations, so we teamed up to help and have a hoppy good time!

Each day in the United States more than 1,000 people are injured in crashes reported to have involved a distracted driver. Working with our award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, the DriverFocus system is like having an attentive co-pilot along for the ride, available to give a helpful alert if a driver becomes distracted or drowsy. For added convenience, DriverFocus can also recognize up to five different drivers and remember their preferences.
SUBARU STARLINK® SAFETY AND SECURITY
STARLINK Safety and Security offers an array of connected services to help keep you and your Legacy safe whether you’re in your vehicle, at your computer, or on your smartphone. Advanced Automatic Collision Notification will alert an operator in the event of an accident, and SOS Emergency Assistance can get you roadside help at the push of a button. Remote Engine Start with Climate Control, accessible via your smartphone, ensures your Legacy is always ready and comfortable. There are also STARLINK Concierge services for personal assistance with tasks like navigation.

MORE THAN A CAR.
STANDARD SYMMETRICAL ALLWHEEL DRIVE
With standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and its all-weather traction, you can go more places in an Impreza. The balanced design of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive creates uniform stability and delivers an optimal distribution of power for maximum traction in virtually any weather or road condition. It delivers better handling, improved efficiency, and a quicker response to road conditions than competitors’ optional systems.
PRACTICAL, VERSATILE HATCHBACK BODY STYLE
The perfect blend of practicality and style, the all-new Impreza elevates the hatchback form with modern design. From the striking scales of the front grille to the sculpted lines and contoured facets of the rear hatch, the 2024 Impreza packs capability, space, and athletic good looks into a right-sized 5-door package. Inside, you get up to 120.9 cubic feet of roomy space — more than the Toyota Corolla Hatchback — and a redesigned interior clad in high-quality premium materials and durable, attractive upholstery.
STANDARD ROOF CROSSBAR MOUNTING POINTS
The 2024 Impreza features standard roof crossbar mounting points so you can get even more flexible cargo hauling capability for gear and equipment like bikes, skis, and kayaks.
THE BEST-HANDLING, BEST-PERFORMING, WRX. EVER.
Boring gets left in the dust. You won’t find anything more exciting to drive on a street, track, or muddy back road like the 2023 Subaru WRX all-wheel drive sports car.
SUBUARU PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING
With its standard 2.4-liter direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER® engine, the four-door 2023 WRX delivers 271 horsepower. That’s more than the Honda Civic Si or Volkswagen GTI. Race-proven Subaru engineering means you’ll have miles and miles of high-performance excitement –95% of Subaru WRX vehicles sold in the last 10 years are still on the road today. The Civic Si and GTI can’t match that, either.
VERSATILE WITH ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Every WRX sports sedan in the lineup is packed with state-of-the-art technology. Next-generation available features include a STARLINK® Multimedia 11.6-inch touchscreen and the active protection of EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology. Inside the spacious cabin, sport-design front seats, a D-shaped steering wheel, and premium materials throughout form a cockpit that’s made for precision driving, while the comfortable, five-seat interior with 60/40-split flat-folding rear seatbacks provides surprising cargo-carrying versatility.
FORGED IN CHAMPIONSHIP RALLY RACING
Drawing from generations of U.S. National Rally Championship race cars, the 2023 WRX is a sports car that delivers plenty of power, a track-tuned suspension for precision control, and standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive – a feature the Honda Civic Si, Hyundai Elantra N, and Volkswagen GTI don’t even offer. The 2023 WRX is another thrilling reason why Subaru is a six-time Best Performance Brand winner, according to Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.

ENGINEERED FOR PERFORMANCE
The 2023 BRZ gives you plenty of power for extra fun with a powerful, 2.4-liter direct-injection SUBARU BOXER engine delivering 228 horsepower – that’s more standard horsepower than the Mazda Miata, Mini Cooper S, or Honda Civic Sport.
ICONIC SPORTS CAR LAYOUT
With its iconic sports car layout – front engine, rear-wheel drive – and razor-sharp handling, the 2023 BRZ can make any drive feel thrilling. The front-wheel-drive Mini Cooper S, Volkswagen GTI, and Honda Civic Sport just can’t compare to the classic, balanced rear-wheel-drive design of the BRZ.
DESIGNED FOR DRIVERS
The 2023 BRZ is full of features for serious driving, like quick ratio steering, heavily bolstered sport seating, and a customizable digital instrument cluster with a digital G-force meter as well as Sport and Track modes.

Employee Of The Year Awards
Mark Miller Subaru has seven Core Values which help guide our behaviors, decisions, and actions as a retailer and as individual employees. Each year our staff nominate their fellow co-workers for our annual Love Promise Employee of the Year awards to recognize those individuals who embody our Core Values and go above and beyond to help out staff and customers. The Kaizen Innovative Employee of the Year is awarded to two employees annually whose innovative ideas have made Mark Miller Subaru a better place for our employees, customers, and community.
In addition to these peer-nominated awards, one employee annually is selected for the distinguished Mark Miller Award. This award, which is our most prestigious honor, is bestowed upon one employee individually selected by members of the Miller Family themselves.
