Mark Miller Subaru is proud to be Utah’s only automotive retailer registered as a BenefitCorporation. As a B-Corp, Mark Miller Subaru voluntarily commits to: Have a corporate purpose to create a material positive impact on society and the environment. Consider the impact of our decisions not only on stakeholders, but also on our employees, the community, and the environment. Make available to the public an annual benefit report that assesses our overall social and environmental performance against a third party standard. This is that report.
Greetings from Mark Miller Subaru F RIE N DS, There is no doubt that the past 18 months have been challenging. From a global pandemic and a magnitude 5.7 earthquake, to navigating the current microchip shortage that is drastically impacting the automotive industry, it’s safe to say – and knock-on wood – that ‘we’ve seen it all.’ Yet, if there is one thing Subaru owners know, it’s that the BEST views come after the toughest climbs. While the journey to the peak we’re currently on has not been easy, I’m reminded of the many times that my team and I took a break from climbing to help those struggling in our community. From distributing over 10,000 units of PPE to underserved and at-risk individuals and families, to donating nearly $50,000 to organizations who support social justice initiatives, Mark Miller Subaru didn’t let the environmental challenges facing our business stop us from leaving a very special MARK on our community. After all, helping others and lifting voices is the business we’re in, and the Subaru Love Promise is our Northern Star. As you read through the pages of our 2020/21 annual report, you will see that my team and I have so much to be proud of, and I hope you too are proud of all that we accomplished. Because, after all, it’s YOU who make our work
in the community possible. Your partnership with Mark Miller Subaru helps us fulfill our mission of ‘being more than a car dealer.’ So, from the bottom of my heart and on behalf of Mark Miller Subaru’s 260+ human employees, our one canine employee, and on behalf of the charitable organizations we support, thank you! After a year of steep climbing, the horizon looks beautiful. Thank you for standing by our side as we take in the breathtaking views of what’s to come. On behalf of my family, both at home and inside of our stores, thank you for sharing your Subaru journey with us. Jeff Miller General Manager and Chief Executive Officer

Meet the All-
New 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition
Mark Miller Subaru’s COVID Response When the pandemic struck the nation and Utah, Mark Miller Subaru was quick to act and make our main priority the health, well-being, and safety of our staff, visitors, and guests. Here at Mark Miller Subaru, we treat everyone like family, and we were committed to making sure our Subaru family safe, while keeping our doors open for critical, frontline services. Although many people were staying home, many people were still going to work and needed their cars serviced. When restrictions started to loosen, we had many customers with service needs from their cars sitting idle for so many months. We took many proactive steps to keeping our service doors open and protecting our family, and followed all recommendations and guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and County Health Department.
May 2020-June 2021 •
Mandated masks for employees and all people who visit Mark Miller Subaru.
•
Require temperature checks for all employees prior to the beginning of their daily shifts.
•
Installed hand sanitizer dispensers at all entry-points to Mark Miller Subaru in addition to increasing the number of hand sanitizer stations throughout the stores.
•
Posted relevant signage throughout the stores which provides information about COVID-19, and critical ways to avoid being exposed to it.
•
Installed distance markers throughout the store to encourage social distancing.
•
Invested in two industrial strength and state-of-the-art electrostatic disinfection devices whereby we thoroughly sanitize our stores to prevent the presence and/or spread of germs.
•
Purchased additional cleaning supplies whereby every member of the Mark Miller Subaru team can assist in cleaning and sanitizing high-contact areas throughout the day.
•
Directed our janitorial team to ensure that cleaning and sanitizing of all high-contact areas, such as door handles, desktops, railings, doorknobs, etc., on a nightly basis.
•
Worked to ensure that all high-contact features and areas on vehicles (including door handles, steering wheels, shift knobs, etc..) are properly sanitized before guests are permitted inside of them.
•
Instruct all employees who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 to visit a doctor immediately, and if the physician feels they are a good candidate, to be tested and quarantine while they wait for results.
These actions paid off, and we are pleased to announce that as of July 2021 we only have had 40 positive COVID infections among our staff of 200. When the vaccine became available to the public, Mark Miller Subaru incentivized our staff to get vaccinated by offering $100 bonus when they got the vaccine and held four weekly lotteries of $1000 that all vaccinated staff were automatically entered. So far 82% of our staff are fully vaccinated because of our efforts and our commitment to keeping our community safe.

What a great experience. During a pandemic I was able to purchase my car over the phone/email. They ordered the color and style I wanted and kept me in the loop the whole time. Curtis Holt was my sales representative and he was AMAZING!! I most definitely recommend leasing with Mark Miller Subaru!

I purchased a used Crosstrek from Mark Miller. Since then the service department has been highly professional. I have had 5 star service on every visit.

This is my kind of dealership! You don’t haggle the price as the prices are already on the vehicle. No pressure from the sales people, just down to Earth people who love their jobs!
Ryder F.
Absolutely amazing experience. It was so laid back, no pressure at all. I wasn’t swarmed out on the lot when I was just looking and when it came time to get serious my salesman Mark was super helpful and relaxed. Can’t recommend enough.

I’ve leased 3 cars from Mark Miller Subaru, and the cars have been awesome! The salespeople have been really great to work with, and the dealership has built more programs to support customers than ever. I hate the car buying process, and I can say that they’ve made it as much of a pleasure as possible.

Mark Miller Subaru truly cares about people and the world. I’m so glad that I bought my Subaru from them!

DIVERTING WRAPPING PAPER FROM LANDFILLS For the second year, Mark Miller Subaru collected wrapping paper waste after the holiday season for proper recycling. Salt Lake County residents filled up a 30 yard roll-off container, equivalent to about 180 13-gallon (kitchen size) trash bags, helping divert 2,340 gallons worth of used wrapping paper from our local landfills. After unwrapping Christmas presents and seeing the mounds of paper in our living rooms, people really want to do the right thing and recycle it, but with all the tape and ribbons and bows, used wrapping paper isn’t the easiest to recycle. Thanks to everyone who joined us in recycling their wrapping paper and being good environmental stewards!
DIVERTING E-WASTE FROM OUR LANDFILLS Mark Miller Subaru partnered with Recycle Utah to host a free E-Waste Collection Event on October 3, 2020. More than 100 Summit County residents dropped off 2,000 pounds of electronics, which were recycled and diverted from our local landfill. Did you know that e-waste represents 2% of America’s trash in landfills but it equals 70% of overall toxic waste. Do you part and properly recycle your electronics and hazardous waste. Learn more about Recycle Utah at www.recycleutah.org.

NO FUR UNFED EVENT No one should have to decide between feeding themselves or feeding their pets, but when the pandemic hit and thousands of people lost their jobs, that’s exactly what happened. Mark Miller Subaru worked with our Loves Pets partner Nuzzles & Co. to host our No FUR unfed event. Together we distributed over 1,000 pounds of pet food, cat litter, and supplies to people in need. To help accommodate homebound older adults with pets, we made a donation to the Meals on Wheels Pets Plus program, donating $1,500 in cash, 300 pounds of pet food and supplies, and several gallons of hand sanitizer and 150 N95 masks for their delivery volunteers. Suba Bleu Miller got to hang out with his friend Shireen Ghorbani of the Salt Lake County Council to spread love and support for all of our FURiends.
SUBARU LOVES PETS MONTH Mark Miller Subaru celebrated Subaru Loves Pets month in October by partnering with Nuzzles & Co. and donating $200 each day to cover the adoption fees of 62 homeless pets, making a total donation of $6,200. We also hosted a free adoption event at our South Towne location on National Make a Dog’s Day, October 22, finding an additional 16 pets their forever homes. The event was much smaller due to COVID restrictions in the fall, but we came together to offer a safe adoption event outdoors and find loving homes for homeless pets.
2020 OUTCOMES It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
MILL CREEK ELEMENTARY VOLUNTEERING Did you know that less than 44% of Granite School District students are at grade level competency? While the gap between a student’s grade level and competency level widens every year, it is expected to grow more rapidly this year as a result of the pandemic. It’s because of this that Mark Miller Subaru employees have been volunteering their time to mentor elementary and jr. high math students for more than three years to help them reach grade level competency. To accommodate virtual learning, we used the iReady math tutorial program to help 3rd grade students at Mill Creek Elementary get caught up to grade level proficiency. It’s part of our commitment to helping ensure this gap doesn’t grow as part of our Subaru Loves Learning commitment to community.
WEST SIDE COMMUNITIES LOVE TO LEARN
FREE ACTIVITY BOOKLET Arts and museum centers were acutely affected by the pandemic since hands-on exhibits and groups are major vector points, but thanks to their creativity and dedication to learning many have been providing online workshops, classes, and other virtual ways of engagement. Mark Miller Subaru worked with Discovery Gateway to create a new Activity Booklet with STEM-based activities for kids and families to do at home. You can pick one up at the kid’s play area at either Mark Miller Subaru store, next to the Mark Miller Subaru Ascent Exhibit at Discovery Gateway, or available for download at markmillersubaru.com. SERVICE DOGS SAVE LIVES Blaine is one of the many veteran clients who received a service dog from The Malinois Foundation last year, one sponsored by Mark Miller Subaru. Blaine’s unit flew to Kuwait at the beginning of 2005 and drove across the border to Iraq to take over a Forward Operating Base and relieve the previous unit. Once in the country, the unit took over Abu Ghraib prison and Blaine became a prison guard, either guarding people inside or guarding the outside against attack. The unit also had the only morgue in the area and had constant deliveries of corpses they would search before letting them enter. Blaine’s unit was under constant attack from either small arms fire or mortars and had a constant 24-hour security detail. The unit lost 13 good soldiers that year, a long year full of great memories and heartbreaking losses. When Blaine left the Army, he got a dog that never left his side. He didn’t realize the positive effects of his special canine until she passed away in December 2019, sending him into a tailspin. That’s when Blain contacted the Malinois Foundation and got placed with his service dog, Justy (named after the vintage Subaru model). Justy is now living her best life with her best friend, serving as a PTSD service dog for Blaine.
STORIES FROM OUR VETERANS WALL Mark Miller Subaru designed a new recognition wall for The Malinois Foundation to highlight the stories of their Veteran clients. The “Stories from our Veterans” wall features all of the Veterans and their service dog placement stories, including the service dogs paid for by Mark Miller Subaru contributions. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank all of our Veterans for their service and sacrifice.
A HERO LIVES HERE To celebrate Veterans Day 2020 and express gratitude to all our heroes, we partnered with The Malinois Foundation to place over 80 “A Hero Lives Here” signs in veteran’s yards throughout Salt Lake County and surrounding areas. After taking online registrations from friends and family members, we snuck out at night on the eve of Veterans Day to place the signs and surprise our local veterans. We cannot say it enough--thank you for your service!
2020 OUTCOMES We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
GRIEF SUPPORT POP-UP After the memorial mural was created in the Granit District area, The Sharing Place and Mark Miller Subaru hosted a Grief Support Pop-up for visitors of the memorial to leave prayer flags and talk through grief support with The Sharing Place staff. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, but there are healthy ways to deal with the grieving process. If you or someone you know is struggling with grief, contact the free SAMHSA’s National Helpline 24/7/365 at 1-800662-HELP. Visit The Sharing Place website at www. thesharingplace.org to learn more about their grief support groups and services for youth and families.
BLANKETS FOR HOMELESS In recognition of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month this past November, Subaru of America donated 50,000 blankets to homeless shelters across the country, and locally Mark Miller Subaru donated 160 blankets to the Volunteers of America, Utah Youth Resource Center. Earlier that day, staff from our sister store Mark Miller Toyota volunteered to cook breakfast for the youth. The Miller Family exemplifies how uniting for a common cause is the most powerful thing we can do as community neighbors to support one another during hard times!
MASKS & HAND SANITIZER & DISINFECTANT, OH MY! Keeping our community safe is top priority for Mark Miller Subaru during the pandemic, which is why we distributed over 10,000 units of PPE and multiple gallons of hand sanitizer and disinfectant to those most in need. During the month of June 2020, we placed a bottle of hand sanitizer in the car of every service customer as a “thank you” and “keep safe” gift. Later in the midst of winter 2021, we started giving our Subaru masks to all Mark Miller Direct customers as a reminder of how serious we take mask wearing in their cars as we conduct pick up and delivers during service appointments. Small gestures that go a long way to instill confidence, trust, and safety for our customers and community! PAGE

MEMBERSHIPS TO RECOVERY The ways in which the pandemic effected our community are wide, far reaching, and ongoing. Several clients at Fit to Recover (FTR) lost their job and were unable to afford their monthly memberships, already priced very low. Without access to FTR’s community center, the risk for relapsing back into substance misuse was a very real concern, and FTR was in no financial position to offer everyone free memberships. As a small way of helping, Mark Miller Subaru sponsored 10 rotating memberships, so that clients needing to access the center could stop by and use one of our membership scholarships. It was a reminder how a lending hand today can be a new life for someone tomorrow. Flip to our “Love Promise Stories” section to read a story from one of these scholarship recipients.
HELPING KEEP FOOD ON THE TABLE DURING THE PANDEMIC At Mark Miller Subaru, we believe in helping our local community in which we live, work and play, not because it helps our bottom line but because it’s the right thing to do. Helping others is central to our Love Promise, and it’s one more reason why Subaru is more than a car company. When COVID-19 pandemic swept across the country, Subaru of America and local retailers jumped into action to help those most affected. In April 2020, Subaru donated 50 million meals to Feeding America and food banks across the nation, including 620,000 meals to the Utah Food Bank. When the second wave hit in the winter, Subaru renewed their support for local communities and donated an additional 100 million meals, including 450,000 meals from Mark Miller Subaru to benefit the Utah Food Bank. We also held a staff food collection drive to donate an additional 100 meals. Over the course of the pandemic, the Utah Food Bank saw a 113% increase in their services, so this help could not have come at a better time for our neighbors in need.
2020 OUTCOMES Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to our culture. It drives how we make decisions and how we treat each other as humans. From our employees to our customers and community, we value each unique story by creating the space for belonging and by working toward a more just world where everyone is celebrated as equal.
CELEBRATING NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY Each year on October 11, the LGBT community celebrates National Coming Out Day to support people to “come out of the closet” and be proud of who you are! The Utah Pride Center celebrated the 32nd annual National Coming Out Day in 2020 with the Utah Pride Road Rally. The public event attracted 400 cars and thousands of viewers as community members dressed up in their favorite Pride colors and decorated their cars to “drag” Main Street with their family and friends. Mark Miller Subaru sponsored the event and cheered on participants as they drove down the Road Rally corridor. Thirty-two years ago, on the anniversary of the National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights, we first observed National Coming Out Day as a reminder that one of our most basic tools is the power of coming out. One out of every two Americans has someone close to them who is gay or lesbian. For transgender people, that number is only one in 10.
THE BLM MOVEMENT OF 2020 2020 will go down in history for many reasons, one of which was the impassioned growth of the Black Lives Matter movement and protests after the unfortunate deaths of many of our black community members. It was, and continues to be, a time for action. Mark Miller Subaru made a decision to publicly support the movement and donated $55,000 to various social justice organizations within two weeks. You can read the full Love Promise story in this Annual Report.
Missed the Road Rally? Watch the recap video on our website under the Love Promise page.
WOMEN OF MARK MILLER SUBARU HONOR WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY Women’s rights groups across the country celebrated in 2020. The year marked the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment, granting all citizens the right to vote regardless of sex. To honor this centennial occasion, Mark Miller Subaru made a $2,020 donation to the League of Women Voters of Utah on Women’s Equality Day and hosted online giveaways. Although we know there is still much work to be done, this was a time to reflect and honor how far we have progressed. Several of our staff members shared what women’s equality means to them, watch the video on our Facebook page! PAGE

Elevating black voices because
#BlackLivesMatter As someone who was born with the unfair advantage of White privilege, I’ve never had to worry about another person trampling on my rights because of the way I speak or the way I look. It’s recognizing this privilege that reminds me of how important it is to advocate for the rights of individuals who don’t yet have the same rights and privileges I possess every day. The killings of George Floyd in Minnesota, Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia and Breonna Taylor in Kentucky are harsh reminders of the dangers that Black Americans face by simply living their everyday lives. Our world should be a place where people don’t have to worry about their right to life being taken away from them because of the color of their skin. Everyone needs to work harder and with greater intention to ensure that our Black neighbors feel welcome, respected, cared for, and protected. Utah, and everywhere else in America, needs to become a more welcoming and inclusive place. A place where every human, regardless of race, feels safe enough to raise a family and live a comfortable life. Business owners, myself included, must do a better job of emphasizing diversity in our companies. We need to do more to encourage the
advancement of our Black neighbors by providing them with greater opportunities inside our businesses and throughout the community. While Mark Miller Subaru has long championed diversity and inclusion, I know that, like many others, we can do better. I promise you that we will do better. That starts now. I’m honored to announce that Mark Miller Subaru announced a $5,000.00 challenge grant to our community in support of both the national and local ACLU Affiliates. We offered to match dollar-fordollar for any donation made to the ACLU to help support the Civil Liberties of the Black community in Utah and throughout the Country. As soon as this was announced, a Mark Miller Subaru customer reached out to me personally and generously offered to ‘match our match’ which led to a total of more than $15,000.00 donated to the ACLU in less than 5-days! We were also proud to join Subaru of America following the completion of this Community Challenge by also donating $10,000.00 from Mark Miller Subaru Midtown to the Equal Justice Initiative, and an additional $10,000.00 from Mark Miller Subaru South Towne to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Teaching Tolerance Project. In total, and with the generous support of Subaru of America, Mark Miller Subaru and our local community generated more than $55,000.00 (in less than two-weeks!) towards raising the voices of America’s Black community. As the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said: “we cannot walk alone.” To those who are scared and are hurting, please know that Mark Miller Subaru sees you, we hear you, and we grieve with you. Please never forget that Mark Miller Subaru is here to walk alongside you. We always have been and we always will be.In Solidarity,

Love Heals All, Including Renezmae This is a story of love, fear, heartache, overcoming, and gratitude. This is our story of our daughter Ren and the fight for her life. This is a story of love, fear, heartache, overcoming, and gratitude. This is our story of our daughter Ren and the fight for her life. My family lives in Pocatello, ID, and in October of 2014 my wife, Michelle and I went in for an ultrasound for our expected daughter. Fear struck when the tech said something did not look right. This news led to the first of many, many trips to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City--the best pediatrics specialty hospital in the region. To our dismay, our daughter was diagnosed was dilated cardiomyopathy (DMC). We were told she would be born with an enlarged heart and would likely need a heart transplant within a year. Heartache struck. We were beyond devasted, our daughter, not yet born, was already slated for major heart surgery. Ren was born on October 16, 2014, where upon she was whisked away to Primary Children’s NICU in a bubble with tubes and monitors. Far away from our family and friends, we took shelter at the Children’s Hospital as this would be home for the next couple months. Michelle and I researched and studied so that we were prepared as parents to

take care of Ren for the short time we expected to have with her. Ren was finally released to go home with 24/7 oxygen support and a cabinet full of medications. It was challenging, but we were back in Pocatello and Ren was finally home with her two brothers! Over the next year we took frequent trips to Primary Children’s. She started overcoming her condition and was about to be released from oxygen and medications until she got rhinovirus. She eventually recovered and no longer needed oxygen, but the doctors had more bad news. We were told that her heart was no longer improving and the virus exacerbated the situation. Ren needed on-going monitoring and inevitable heart transplant because she had one of the most acute conditions of DMC the doctors had seen. The next five years were full of love, family, and prayers. Ren got to live life as a little girl and do all of the things healthy kids do— she learned to swim, sing and dance, and went on roller coasters and camping trips. One night in January 2020, Michelle noticed a change in her breathing pattern as she slept. Before we knew it, we were back in the familiar setting of the emergency room. We were told her heart was failing and we were preparing for the worst. She was finally listed for heart transplant. It’s at this point in the story where Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and Mark Miller Subaru came into our lives. Ren had three open heart surgeries over the next three months, was intubated for 17 days, and had a RVAD (right ventricular assisted device) and a LVAD (basically a portable pump that is inserted into the heart to help pump blood). We became full-time residents of RMHC, and because of the COVID-19 pandemic they had to give us off-site housing. That meant multiple trips from the house to the hospital each day. Money was tight, but luckily RMHC gave us a free Subaru rental vehicle through the support of Mark Miller Subaru so that my wife and I could be there for our daughter while still trying to keep our family together. We cannot thank Mark Miller Subaru enough for their support; without it, life would have been utterly chaotic while juggling life with two boys in Pocatello and a sick daughter in a Salt Lake City hospital. Many long and solitary months passed by until finally in January 2021 we got the call—a compatible heart transplant became available. Everything with the transplant went textbook perfect and recovery time was unheard of. No child should have to go through what our little Ren has experienced these past five years, but our love prevailed.

Suba Bleu’s Clues “Love Promise” Scavengar Hunt During a normal summer, Mark Miller Subaru would be active and busy outdoors supporting all sorts of community and cultural events, festivals, and other public activities. But this has been no normal summer. In an effort to stay active in our community with our Love Promise charity partners and help draw attention to their incredible work and need for public support, Mark Miller Subaru hosted a community scavenger hunt. Suba Bleu Miller is Mark Miller Subaru’s “Love Promise Ambassador.” Together, he teamed up with all six of our Love Promise charity partners to host our Suba Bleu’s Clues “Love Promise” Scavenger Hunt. Twelve questions took participants online and outdoors, with half the answers found on the respective organization’s website and the other half found at the GPS coordinates provided at registration. For each question answered correctly, participants received one entry into our gift outdoors-themed grand prize drawing. Thanks to
everyone who participated, and to the below individuals who left these heartwarming notes in their answer forms. “Both of my boys are diagnosed as Highly Gifted Autistic kids, and while there are difficulties and benefits to anything that separates each of us from anybody else, it is difficult for Mom and Dad to find any activity that they both “fall for”. Your scavenger hunt was great. Now I have to come up with another one myself.” “My girlfriend and I have been cooped up all summer with COVID-19. We made a date night out of the scavenger hunt. We took our bikes out to all the GPS points for some exercise. It was a lot of fun learning about all of these cool non-profits. Thanks for all you do, Mark Miller Subaru.” “Although we didn’t get outdoors to answer those questions, my kids loved going onto the non-profit websites and learning about their work as they answered those six questions. Bravo on creating a fun event during these crazy times.” Mark Miller Subaru’s 2020 Love Promise charity partners that helped make this a fun, successful, and safe event include Subaru Loves Pets: Nuzzles & Co., Subaru Loves the Earth: Wasatch Community Gardens, Subaru Loves to Help: Fit to Recover, Subaru Loves Learning: Spy Hop, Subaru Loves to Care: The Sharing Place, and Subaru Loves Veterans: The Malinois Foundation. MMS In The News 51 Wasatch Front Businesses Call for More Water Conservation FOX NEWS, JUNE 14, 2021 More than 50 Wasatch Front businesses, as well as the Utah Rivers Council, are asking Utah’s governor and legislature to do more to conserve water. “They need to do far more from a conservation standpoint,” said Steve Schmit, owner of Western Rivers Flyfisher. “We need to do something and we hope the governor is more aggressive, and the state overall has done very little from a conservation standpoint.” In a letter to the governor, the 51 businesses ask for a 2% reduction in water usage per year.
“We have a lot of outdoorsy customers and they are out there,” owner Jeff Miller said. “And they are on the lakes and up in these mountains and they are seeing these rivers.” The Subaru dealer is already doing a lot to conserve water and energy. From solar panels and xeriscaping to a recycled-water car wash, Miller says he is happy so many businesses signed the letter. “It’s heartening to see that others feel the same way that we do,” Miller said.
An Excellent Equation for Success THE MILLCREEK CITY JOURNAL, MARCH 2021
Wasatch Touring also signed the letter.
Mark Miller Subaru is in the second semester of a volunteer project, tutoring third-grade math students at Mill Creek Elementary School. The first semester started with a partnership with the United Way, but this semester they have taken it on as their own with Marketing and Guest Relations Director Mike Aguilar leading the effort to help students reach grade level math competency.
“The levels of the rivers and the reservoirs that we love to play and explore and recreate in have been going down,” said Co-owner Dylan Timmer. “It’s definitely coming to a point where it’s going to take kind of a rallying cry for this.”Another business calling for water conservation is Mark Miller Subaru.
Aguilar said that the effort comes from Mark Miller’s “commitment to making a difference in the lives of others”’ and desire to help struggling children in our community. ‘”If there is one thing people should know about Mark Miller is that he has a huge heart,” Aguilar said.
“We need water,” Schmit said. “Not just the trout that we fish for in our streams but also for water quality, I mean it all trickles down to us eventually.”
Mark Miller Subaru employees are using Zoom to help tutor several dozen students with the goal of getting them caught up and proficient in math for future success. The tutors start with a Kahoot quiz each day to engage the students and get their attention before breaking into “tutoring teams” using an iReady math tutoring program. individualized and small group attention not only increases math comprehension and learning strategies, but can boost students’ confidence and approach to getting help in the future. According to the Utah Education and Network (UEN), Utah Grade 3 mathematics focuses on four critical areas, “developing understanding of multiplication and division and strategies for multiplication and division within 100, developing understanding of fractions, especially unit fractions, developing understanding of the structure of rectangular arrays and of area, and describing and analyzing two-dimensional shapes.” As an added incentive for students to stay motivated and do well on their iReady lessons, Mark Miller Subaru gives them a “Suba Bleu Buck” for each lesson they pass to collect and redeem at their “stores” that are set up to have fun and educational games and prizes. They held a Christmas store, Valentine’s Day store, and will hold another store at the end of the semester. Bleu, the dog pictured “Watching these kids grasp a new concept in mathematics is something truly remarkable. Not just because they’ve learned something new, but because. they are gaining confidence knowing that they can do anything if they put their mind to it including, but not limited to, a challenging math problem.” on the “Suba Bleu Bucks,’” is a mixed-breed dog adopted by Mark Miller Subaru and has the role of “Love Promise Ambassador” greeting customers and offering comfort and joy to all. Aguilar said he would not change the experience of working alongside Miller and other Subaru employees helping the students at Mill Creek Elementary for anything.
Mark Miller Subaru is giving the gift of transportation FOX NEWS, MAY 12, 2020 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic,Ronald McDonald House Charities made the tough decision to suspend their communal living model and instead found safe, separate temporary housing for pediatric patient families with high acuity children. However, that left many families with no means of transportation to get to and from Primary Children’s Hospital. Mark Miller Subaru heard about this and quickly moved to offer Subaru loaners to families in need. Mark Miller Subaru is also donating PPE face masks to all of the Ronald McDonald House employees who are interacting with patients and the public to ensure staff remain safe and healthy while providing thee critical services. This is one of the first things Mark Miller Subaru’s new General Manager and Chief Executive Officer did. Jeff Miller bought his dad out, after Mark Miler was in the automotive industry for 45 years. Jeff Miller now marks the fourth generation of the Miller family businesses that started in the early 1900’s.

What Has Suba Bleu Been Up To? As Mark Miller Subaru’s “Love Promise Ambassador”, Suba Bleu Miller keeps busy working with our Love Promise charity partners and other local non-profits to help strengthen our community and make the world a better place. Check out what Bleu has been up to. BLEU ’S N E ST I N G BOX Bleu partnered with HawkWatch International two years ago to install a bird box on-site at our Midtown store. This box was part of their America Kestrel Study, and while we have yet to see a Kestrel in the box, Bleu’s Nesting Box was occupied for a second year by a pair of European Starlings. These are not native birds to North America, but monitoring invasive species still provides valuable data to the scientists. HawkWatch hosted a virtual “Birds in Our Backyard” presentation to help our customers learn more about common birds, invasive species, and the environment we all share.
