Greetings from Mark Miller Subaru NE IGH BO RS, As the world currently navigates the existence of the Coronavirus Pandemic with great uncertainty, there isn’t a better time to reflect on the good that exists all around us. It has been truly inspiring to see Utahns from all walks of life band together in support of others in our community during this time of crisis. It’s the unification and compassion of our family members, friends, and the generosity of complete strangers towards their neighbors that gives all of us at Mark Miller Subaru great hope for our future.

While there is certainly no doubt that the beginning of 2020 has been challenging, there is still so much to be proud of and even more to celebrate. It’s in this spirit that I humbly share with you Mark Miller Subaru’s 2019-20 Annual Report, a document that I’m incredibly proud of! The pages of this very special document will offer you a glimpse into Mark Miller Subaru’s recent work ‘Leaving a MARK’ in our local community. In the pages of this report we highlight the undeniable power of the Subaru Love Promise, a commitment by Subaru of America and retailers like Mark Miller Subaru to be ‘more than a car dealer.’ It’s the pillars of the Subaru Love Promise that guide us to be good stewards of our community with hopes that we leave our world a better place for our kids and grandkids.

And I’m happy to report that Mark Miller Subaru did just that this past year – we left 2019 better than we found it! To name just a few things, we helped secure over $130,000.00 during the Subaru Share The Love event, placed three service animals with U.S. Veterans, and united as friends with a local Subaru competitor for the first time in history as the Co-Presenting Sponsors of the 2019 Utah Pride Festival. We’re proud of our ‘MARK’ we’ve left on our community. I’m hopeful you’ll be proud of our work as well.

That’s because it’s you and your continued business, love, and support that Mark Miller Subaru is able to fulfill our mission of doing good in our community. So, on behalf of all of the mission-based organizations we support, thank you!

As you flip through the pages of this report, I invite you to depart from the uncertainty of today. Instead join me by reminiscing in the joy of our collective past while together we also begin daydreaming of the joy to come in our collective future… because a better future will indeed come. As we venture into this promising future, let’s continue to do so together. Let’s never forget that, in the spirit of Subaru, sometimes the road before us won’t be found on a map, nor will that road be typically leveled or paved, but that hasn’t stopped us before, and it won’t stop us now. That’s because when Subaru drivers are on a journey together, we’re unstoppable.

Meet the AllNew 2021 Subaru Crosstrek

Passing the Torch For nearly the past nine decades, the passing of the Olympic Flame from one Torchbearer to the next has been a global symbol of unity, strength, and passion. It has been this flame that has brought people of diverse backgrounds from around the world together in solidarity and peace.

A SIMILAR FLAME has symbolically passed generational hands multiple times since the creation of the Miller Automotive Group in the early 20th Century. The vibrant light of this Miller Family Torch was passed from Harry Carleson to his son-in-law Laury Miller in 1953, then from Laury Miller to his son, Mark Miller, on July 1, 1975, and it is with great excitement that Mark passes this same Family Torch to his sons, Jeff Miller and John Miller, on May 1, 2020.

- MARK MILLER From earning nickels by inspecting cars around the age of 7, to working his way thru each department and position at Mark Miller Subaru, Jeff has been preparing to become the next Miller Family Torchbearer for over thirty years.

Jeff’s journey hasn’t just been about learning the nuts and bolts of the automotive business though, Mark has long been committed to teaching Jeff about what the Miller’s Torchbearer’s flame represents: to care deeply for others and to leave the world better than you found it.

For decades the Miller Family has left an undeniable ‘MARK’ on the lives of Mark Miller Subaru’s customers, employees, and neighbors. It has been this philosophy of caring for others that Mark has instilled into the business, and into Jeff. In fact, Jeff recalls a special ‘teaching moment’ with his father when he was around the age of 16.

bore the Mark Miller Subaru license plate cover. Mark pulled over to help this customer, and in doing so, helped emphasize the importance that he and the Miller Family have long put on helping others. Nearly 25 years later Jeff still vividly recalls this experience, and he allows this experience to be his guiding light.

Amidst the uncertainty surrounding the Novel Coronavirus Global Pandemic, Jeff has shown a steady handed approach to leading and managing Mark Miller Subaru’s response. It has been his approach to implementing increased safety precautions to keep Mark Miller Subaru’s employees, customers, and community safe that, in addition to developing a business plan to keep every Mark Miller Subaru team member employed, is evidence of his ability to lead with compassion during a crisis. If the Coronavirus Pandemic has proven anything, it’s that Jeff is ready and prepared to carry his Family’s Torch.

In addition to leading a successful career in the Automotive Industry, Mark has long been a community advocate for the most vulnerable individuals among us. While it’s with a humble heart that he officially retires from Mark Miller Subaru, he does so with an even greater resolve to improve the lives of others in our community. From his volunteer work with United Way educating youth, to his volunteerism flying seriously ill or injured individuals across the country to access medical care, Mark’s next chapter will be anything but quiet. Because, as many of us know, Mark isn’t one to ‘sit around and do nothing’, especially when there is so much good left to do in our community.

Unlike the Olympic Flame which is ceremoniously extinguished at the conclusion of the biannual games, the Flame that lives atop the Miller Family Torch continues to Jeff Miller officially became the Torchbearer of the family business and became Owner, Chief Executive Officer, and General Manager of Mark Miller Subaru on May 1, 2020 making him a Fourth Generation Dealer. And while nothing about Mark Miller Subaru will change, including our name, which will continue to bare Mark’s name, this transition is a sign of strength and potential for the future of Mark Miller Subaru and for the future of our employees, customers, and our community.

It Feels Good To Do Good For every car sold during Do Good Feel Good, Mark Miller Subaru donates $75 to the Love Promise partner of the customer’s choice.

But it’s more than just writing checks, it’s about bringing the community together to build awareness around our charity partners, provide an opportunity for customers to interact with our partners, and give them a platform to show the public the critical programs they provide for our community.

RAND OM ACTS OF KINDNE SS Throughout the month, Suba Bleu Miller kept himself busy by doing random acts of kindness for members in our community. He left gift cards in shopping carts, visited kids at schools, and released riddles to the public to guide individuals to golden keys hidden throughout the city, with one lucky person winning a 3 year lease on a 2019 Subaru Forester.

COMMU NIT Y DAY CE LE BRAT ION At the end of the campaign, we celebrated by hosting a Community Day at Mark Miller Subaru South Towne and presented our partners with their donation checks.

The Community Day featured our Love Promise Partners providing activities to guests, including a puppy snuggle lounge from Nuzzles & Co., a family marble challenge from Discovery Gateway, a recycling activity with Recycle Utah, a balloon artist from the Sharing Place, a service animal naming contest with the Malinois Foundation, and coffee provided by Volunteers of America’s work training coffee shop, Maud’s Café. The event concluded with one lucky customer discovering their golden key to win a 3 year lease on a new 2019 Subaru Forester!

Share the Love When you share the love, - you change lives.

Over the last 12 years, Subaru of America, along with Mark Miller Subaru and other participating retailers, have donated more than $176 million to charity, through the Share The Love Event, with customers choosing between four national and over 1,220 hometown charities to benefit.

During Mark Miller Subaru’s 2019 Share the Love Event over $134,000 was donated to our two hometown charity partners: The Sharing Place and The Malinois Foundation.

These funds were split between the two charity partners, helping The Sharing Place provide more than 60 kids with grief support services for a full year, and helping The Malinois Foundation supply more than three service dogs to Veterans in need--quite literally helping save their lives.

Each Saturday during the Share The Love campaign, our partners joined us at the dealerships to interact with customers, share information on their programs, and provide mission-driven activities for guests of Mark Miller Subaru.

It was a record fundraising year for our two Share The Love hometown charity partners, and we couldn’t be more excited!

SUBA BLEU CIDER For the third year, Mark Miller Subaru partnered with Mountain West Hard Cider to create Suba Bleu Cider, a seasonal hard cider to promote our Share The Love campaign. Special thanks to our restaurant and bar partners who sold Suba Bleu Cider: Red Rock Brewery Fashion Place and Downtown, We Olive, Laziz Kitchen, Level Crossing Brewery, and Good Grammar.

PRIN CIPLES OF LOVE IN ACTION Mark Miller Subaru General Manager, Jeff Miller, and Love Promise Ambassador, Suba Bleu Miller, met with three young men from Freemont High School in March 2019 to discuss their trip to the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) International Career Development Conference. They completed a research project on the benefits of cause marketing and presented at the Conference on ways to grow Mark Miller Subaru’s impact through the tenets of the Subaru Love Promise.

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

ECO RANGERS VISIT MARK MILLER SUBARU To kick off Earth Month in April, Recycle Utah and Park City Day School visited our Midtown location to conduct a “Green Audit” on the dealership. The Eco Rangers (a group of 5th graders committed to sustainability, outreach, and education) showed up ready to evaluate, question, and learn about the sustainability practices of Mark Miller Subaru. The students toured the entire facility, including the car wash and service areas. They checked out everything from the contents of the recycling bins to the faucets in the bathroom and the solar panel information.

They asked some tough questions and gave suggestions, ranging from decreasing the amount of time the men’s sink faucet ran to asking if Subaru would make a car with solar panels on the top. After their tour, General Manager, Jeff Miller, brought the students into his office to listen to each of their questions and concerns. These young environmental advocates are honing skills that will help them throughout their lives, not just as environmental advocates, but also as strong community leaders!

KEEPING WRAPPING PAPER OUT OF LANDFILLS Last year we decided to make it a little bit easier for our customers and neighbors to recycle their wrapping paper.

That’s why we partnered with TerraCycle and Recycle Utah to collect this holiday waste at both Mark Miller Subaru Midtown and South Towne locations, and transport those hard-to-recycle items to our partners for proper recycling.

And when we asked, our community delivered. In fact, we collected enough used paper, bows, ribbons, and other wrapping supplies to fill over FOUR Subaru Ascents.

Subaru Loves Pets 2019 Outcomes

Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

LOVE GOES THE DISTANCE On April 24, 2019, Nuzzles & Co. and Mark Miller Subaru loaded up five Subarus with 3,000 pounds of dog and cat food and medical supplies, and a caravan of volunteers set out for Southern Utah! Upon arrival, the food was distributed to our reservation fosters and partners, before getting ready for our 3rd annual “Love Goes the Distance” rescue mission.

The next day, Mark and Jeff Miller piloted Mark’s private plane southward to load it up with the reservation dogs and cats in most need of medical attention. They flew two round trips in one day to get pregnant dogs, orphans, and critical needs pets back to Salt Lake City, where more volunteers greeted the plane and its adorable occupants, and swiftly transported them to the Nuzzles Rescue Ranch for care. At the ranch, the animals were given immediate medical treatment from a team of staff and even more volunteers who were ready to bathe, feed, and snuggle the newest rescues. Meanwhile, Subaru volunteers loaded up the Subarus with crates of dogs and cats healthy enough to make the six-hour drive back to the Rescue Ranch.

DISCOVERY GATEWAY HOSTS THE SHARING PLACE FOR AN EVENING OF EXPLORATION, DISCOVERY, AND PLAY AS A WAY TO ADDRESS CHILDHOOD GRIEF In April 2019, The Sharing Place and Mark Miller Subaru invited the community and families from our grief support groups to celebrate “National Sharing Day” at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum. Together, we shared free passes to the museum, face painting, arts and crafts, and snacks. Sharing Place staff helped families from the community create a “Message in a Bottle” to someone they love. This easy craft project is a favorite that has a special place in our grief support groups, where kids often write secret messages to a person they can no longer talk to. We had so much fun teaching families about sharing feelings, and families from our support groups enjoyed quality family time to explore and learn through play with Discovery Gateway’s interactive exhibits. NEW SENSORY AND TRAINING WALL HELPS SERVICE DOG LEARN LIFESAVING SKILLS Special thanks to Mark Miller Subaru for sponsoring our sensory training wall. It has allowed The Malinois Foundation and Dog Training Elite to expand resources for over 90 Service Dogs in our community by exposing these dogs to different tools they will encounter with their handler. The hand dryer is an excellent resource for dozens of our puppies to explore at a young age. We are able to practice turning light switches on and off, as well as open doors for our Mobility Assistance Service Dogs.

With more advanced training, we can also teach these dogs to press a button to call for help if needed. Many of these tools are life-saving for Service Dogs to practice with before being placed with veterans and other people in need of service animals.

RECOGNIZING VETERANS AND THEIR SPOUSES How can we thank our veterans enough for their countless sacrifices? Last year for Veteran’s Day, we decided to honor them by giving their spouses a little love. To recognize the selfless sacrifices made by the many spouses of our veterans, we worked with our Share The Love partners The Malinois Foundation and The Sharing Place to encourage families and friends to nominate someone they know. The response was amazing! From the 73 nominations received, we randomly selected 10 spouses to recognize and honor on the court during the Utah Jazz v Minnesota Timberwolves game on November 16, 2019. Jeff Miller presented them all with a small gift as a token of our appreciation for the part they play in keeping our country safe by being the rock, raising the kids, and keeping the roof on the house. Thank you!

MEETING THE GROWING NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY Statistics show 1 in 16 Utah kids will lose a parent or sibling before the age of 18. That’s a lot of kids in need of grief support and coping skills, and a number that exceeds current resources of The Sharing Place. To help meet this growing demand and reduce wait list times for kids and their families in need of grief support programs, they launched Sharing Place West, a new location in Taylorsville with the capacity to serve an additional 80-100 families in need of their services. With more space comes the need for more volunteers. Hosting Operation Heroes’ Fallen Soldier Memorial The Subaru Share The Love event is a special time to unite as a community in support of something so much bigger than ourselves.

That’s why Mark Miller Subaru was honored to support Utah’s Hometown Heroes for the duration of the campaign.

In addition to supporting two causes in our community that offer critical support for our veterans and their families, Mark Miller Subaru is truly humbled to host Operation Heroes’ Fallen Soldier Memorial for the first time in the Salt Lake Valley, and for the first time ever in an automotive store. The Operation Hero Memorial consists of 278 boots, each one representing the death of a Utah solider since 9/11. The exhibit is both an emotional and meaningful experience for those who visit and is meant to raise awareness within our community about each of Utah’s Fallen Soldiers and the sacrifices these heroes made.

Operation Hero is a non-profit organization established by Antoinette Stapley to continue the legacy of her husband, 1SG Tracy Stapley, who passed away on July 3, 2013, in Qatar. In launching the Subaru Share The Love event in an emotional ceremony on November 14th, Jeff Miller, General Manager of Mark Miller Subaru, offered the following message: “... my team and I are humbled to host the ‘Operation Heroes’ Fallen Solider Memorial. Freedom isn’t free, and this memorial is an emotional reminder of this reality. This is a beautiful tribute to those who sacrificed everything, including their own life, in service to our country - this place we love so much.”

Giving Utah’s Youth A Chance Through 8th Grade Math Mark Miller Subaru’s caring leader, steward, and former owner, Mark Miller himself, alongside members of the Mark Miller Subaru team, have had the honor of tutoring 8th Grade Students at Kearns Jr. High school, students who are among the most vulnerable in our community.

Kearns Jr. High is located in Utah’s “West Side” and is home to some of the most diverse and financially disadvantaged families in Utah. Family sizes are larger, household incomes are smaller (requiring parents to work more than one job), and access to illegal substances

continues to be a growing issue. Simply put, the cards are stacked against these bright, capable, and talented youth… and they need our help!

Mark Miller Subaru united to support these youth because of these three known facts: 1. Based on low test performance, Kearns Jr. High has an academic rating significantly lower than the average for Utah middle schools and is ranked 128th out of 138 on the list of best public middle schools in Utah.

2. 71% of students in 8th Grade at Kearns Jr High are more than two grade levels behind, with a significant number of students testing at the 2nd grade level.

3. Grade Level Competency for 8th Grade Math is an indicator of future success. In fact, students who are at (or above) grade-level at the completion of their 8th grade year are ~67% more likely to graduate High School!

Mark Miller Subaru is home to some incredibly talented individuals, so we knew we could extend a helping hand!

T IME S PE R W E E K By the end of this school year, Mark Miller Subaru is estimating that employees will volunteer 1-2 times each week before their workday to help tutor students.

In fact, I was recently helping a young girl named Amelia count from 9 to 15. Sadly, Amelia’s story isn’t the exception, it’s the standard. These 8th grade students have reached a point in their educational career where they are meant (and required) to understand algebra, the Pythagorean theorem, and other advanced math theory, but they cannot even do simple addition! This is why so many students, especially students in communities like Kearns, fall through the cracks and do not graduate. Sadly, the education system has failed these youth.

But when all seems gloom, there is so much for Mark Miller Subaru to be proud of!

Mark Miller and Mark Miller Subaru are working together to make a difference in the lives of these students… not because it’s good for business, but because it’s the right thing to do.

As an employee of Mark Miller, I am continually inspired by his generosity of time, and the financial resources he’s invested in helping make our world a better place. Watching him speak from his heart about why leaving the world better than he found it (which is usually accompanied by a quivering voice and a water-filled eye), I’m continually reminded why I’m a proud part of the Mark Miller Subaru team.

Keeping Families Moving Safely During COVID-19 On March 18, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area (RMHC) received a notice from our global office that all hospital programs, like the Ronald McDonald Family Room, were to be suspended, and that our space should immediately be turned over to our hospital partners to provide care to individuals affected by COVID-19.

Transitioning how our charity would deliver its mission in the community following this news was already a major challenge, but then another disaster struck – a 5.7 earthquake hit Salt Lake City at 7:09 AM on that very same day. The world beneath us was both metaphorically and literally shaking.

RMHC serves families of pediatric patients – children with a serious illness or injury who are being treated in a nearby hospital. The patient families who were still being housed with RMHC on that fateful day had children with the most critical and serious cases, many of which required they stay close to the hospital, even as COVID-19 was spreading across the country. The decision was made to PAGE

find temporary emergency housing for these vulnerable families. They needed access to a private kitchen and privacy in common spaces, away from other individuals.

Their health and safety was our top priority. Finding them remote housing also meant that providing them with food and transportation was going to be much more difficult.

It was no surprise to the staff of RMHC that one of the first phone calls to come in offering help was from Mark Miller Subaru, a consistent supporter of our work. Due to their relationship with us, they are aware of the unique needs of our families, and knowing families would be further away from the hospital without access to transportation, they immediately offered to provide Subaru rentals to qualifying families at no cost to RMHC or them.

One family, for example, has a child receiving life-altering behavioral health care. They have been with RMHC for a very long time and will continue to need treatment for the foreseeable future. When the mother of the family realized they would be a recipient of a Mark Miller Subaru free rental, she wrote this to us in response: “This is a big help and blessing to our family. Our resources and funds are very limited and this help is extremely beneficial to my husband and I and our family!!”

Another family has a baby in the NICU who needs surgery and will be in Salt Lake City, far away from their hometown, for another 4-6 weeks. Right as Mark Miller Subaru called with the offer of the cars, this family’s car broke down. The pre-mature babies’ mother was so grateful and said that it couldn’t have come at a better time. Having the rental allowed them to get their baby through the surgery and then deal with getting their car repaired after.

All of us at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area are so thankful for the love and care shown to us by Mark Miller Subaru. This is just one more example of how they care for this community – and in this case, for us and the families we serve.

Not just because we’ve been lucky enough to keep our jobs, allowing us to support ourselves and our families, but also because we’ve witnessed the manifestation of their long-term believe that “If you take care of your employees, they’ll take care of your customers, and the rest will take care of itself.” It was no surprise that after

Jeff & Mark put so much effort into taking care of us and guaranteeing our paychecks, many employees started asking how we could show the Miller family our appreciation.

We immediately got to work writing personalized thank you cards, but we knew we wanted to say ‘thank you’ in the Subaru spirit, and in a way that aligns with Mark & Jeff’s value system. Because of this, we decided to ask our employees to make a donation in Mark & Jeff’s honor, to help support those in our community who have been severely impacted by Coronavirus, and our employees delivered in a HUGE way. After a week of collecting ‘thank you’ letters and donations, we as employees are humbled to share that we raised $5,377.00 worth of cash donations to donate in the Miller family’s honor.

Our goal was to specifically help those who are experiencing food insecurity during this pandemic, so we distributed the funds as follows: $1,500.00 to the Utah Food Bank, $1,500.00 to Meals on Wheels in Salt Lake County, $500.00 for Ronald McDonald House’s Food Pantry, $500.00 for Volunteers of America’s Food Pantry, $500 for Utah Pride Center’s Food Pantry and $500 for the Utah AIDS Foundation’s Food Pantry. The balance of our donations were used to secure cat and dog food for community members struggling to feed their pets because of their own food insecurities.

In conclusion, as employees of Mark Miller Subaru, our hearts are full… they are full of love, gratitude, and a burning passion to continue to work tirelessly on the Miller Family’s behalf. In fact, one of our employees from our BDC Department said it best: “I feel like there’s no amount of money that’s enough to say thank you to them for what they have done for us.” Simply put, we love Mark Miller Subaru, and even more, we love the Miller Family.

Suba Bleu is Doing Good in the ‘Subaru Loves to Care’ Month

Businesses are built for profit— corporations distribute profits among shareholders. Until 2007 there were only four ways to form corporations: C-corps, S-corps, Limited Liability Corps (LLC) and Nonprofits. When a business decides to do good works, make charitable contributions, trouble starts. Why? Shareholders may question a business’s contributions or in some cases, a joint owner could disagree with a charitable contribution, resulting in a lawsuit. Ugly but true.

The PLACE co-host Suba Bleu, who is also the Love Promise Ambassador for Mark Miller Subaru joined us, along with Aunndrea Kunz, Marketing Manager for Mark Miller Subaru to talk about the annual ‘Subaru Loves to Care’ month. Mark Miller Subaru and Suba Bleu have partnered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Ronald McDonald House Charities. They gathered messages of hope from customers and employees in June and those will be delivered along with 160 blankets to cancer patients on July 11. First, Suba Bleu and his team will visit Ronald McDonald Family Room at Primary Children’s Hospital to deliver half the blankets and cards to patients there, and then they’ll make their way to The Ronald McDonald House for a superhero-themed ice cream party where the rest of the cards and blankets will be handed out. Stacie Kulp, Executive Director for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society says they have a mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Katie Smith from the Ronald McDonald House Charities says they create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.

The growingly popular incorporation B-corp status provides protection, allowing people and the planet to share the profits. Local business owners, Keven Stratton from P3Utah.org and Jeff Miller from Mark Miller Subaru, lobbied to allow LLC’s to also claim this protection. As Miller explains, “We’re going to invest in our community regardless, but reincorporating as a Benefit Corporation is our proclamation to the world that being a good corporate citizen is part of our DNA.” It’s proven that good deeds are good marketing. Mark Miller Subaru, having donated over $2M to local charities through its local Love Promise program and the Subaru Share the Love event has resulted in increased traffic and interest in Mark Miller Subaru’s product offering. While Miller proudly argues that “Mark Miller Subaru gives back because it’s the right thing to do, not because it’s good for bottom-line,” seeing increased traffic is certainly a sign of an effective marketing strategy, and something that other businesses, Miller hopes ‘will catch on to.’

As a couple of nature nerds, our weekends began as a constant pursuit for a quick outdoor adventure.

That love of the land grew rapidly into a lifestyle, so naturally we joined the Subaru family and bought our very first Impreza. Next thing you know, we’d set out on a 4,000 mile long road trip. We hiked, biked and camped for three weeks straight, returning home safely without any problems whatsoever, all because of that awesome car we now lovingly call BabyRu. After that, we were hooked! Our adventure bucket list continued to grow, and so did our fleet. We bought the new Outback Onyx Edition XT to join the family, and of course affectionately named her MamaRu. Chris Kopecky MIDTOWN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN 25 YEARS Chris comes into work every day with a great attitude, ready to get the job done, and looking to help in as many ways as he can. Because of his extensive knowledge, experience and expertise, he is always helping us find ways to do things differently and better. Chris has trained a lot of the technicians that currently work for us, and always does his best to make sure that everyone is taken care of. Chris is one of the most self-disciplined people we’ve ever had, and we are lucky to have him on our team.

SOUTH TOWNE SALES MANAGER 8 YEARS Chase always shows up with a positive attitude and ready to help. He jumps in to help wherever he’s needed, including parking cars, jumping a dead battery or cleaning snow off of cars. Chase will walk around to make sure everyone in all the departments are okay, and to see if he can offer his assistance anywhere. Chase arrives at work every day in a good mood, and greatly contributes to a positive atmosphere. Chase sends out an inspirational email at the end of every month, with words of encouragement and/or praise. Chase always leads by example, and makes you want to work hard, because you know he wants everyone to succeed.

Dawn truly treats everyone like family. There are very few employees that engage with every employee, in every department, but Dawn makes an effort to be friendly everywhere she goes and to get to know everyone. Dawn is always smiling, happy and really fun to be around. If you’re ever having a bad day, just talk to Dawn and she’ll turn your day around. Dawn does an excellent job at making her customers feel cared for, and giving them an all-around great experience at Mark Miller Subaru.

When Jose first started last spring, he came in with a bright smile and a passion to take care of every guest that comes into our service department. He exhibits every one of our core values, and works hard to make sure that not only our guests are taken care of, but that our employees are taken care of as well. Jose will jump in to help wherever necessary, and stays calm during stressful situations.

When Jose is here, we know things are going to get taken care of.

Ryan is an exceptional employee, colleague, friend and person. He is not only innovative in the digital realm, which he’s extremely talented at, he helps us innovate for the bigger picture. From sales to service, to traditional marketing and event activation, he is always the one that we can rely on to get his advice, opinion or recommendation to make things not only bigger, but better. If it weren’t for Ryan, this place wouldn’t be what it is today.

Staff Anniversaries and Retirements With humble hearts and happy thoughts, we wished Kelly Warren (retired in 2019 after 24 years), Al Juston (retired in 2019 after 8 years), and Mark Miller (retired in 2020 after 53 years) a wonderful retirement.

In the infamous words of Calvin & Hobbes: “There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want.” We’re jealous of all the extra time you now have to do all the nothing you want.

Mark Miller Subaru is a special place because of the amazing employees we consider family.
