July–October 2023

16 July
Praise God for the many churches who have booked holiday camps. Pray for the youth attending that they will continue to dwell on the word spoken to them at camp.
Pray also for the renovations underway at Deer Park to improve the bathroom facilities. Pray for safety for the builders and an on-time delivery.
23 July
Pray for Special Religious Education (SRE) starting back in schools for semester 2. Pray that young people will be eager to learn the more about good news of Jesus and that God would sustain the SRE teachers as they help them explore the Word in a deeper way.
Youthworks College on campus start of semester2. Pray for a strong and uninterrupted start to second semester for all students and faculty.
30 July
Praise God that young people are being trained and equipped through the ministry of Year 13 and are gaining skills that will help them share the gospel with confidence and conviction. Pray that the students will continue to be deepened in their faith as they spend time in God’s word through the program.
6 August
Pray for Youthworks Media’s newly released title for grandparents, as well as our other resources released this year: Bringing Forth Life, You and Me by the Book and The Puzzlemaker, that these will strengthen and equip ministry to parents and children.
13 August
Give thanks for the Youthworks Council in their governing role, and for staff working in IT, accounting, administration, communications and fundraising. Pray that God would equip them for every good work to continue to effectively support those in ‘frontline’ ministry.
20 August
Pray for Youthworks College Open Day - pray for staff and students who will be leading, that they will be well prepared and inspire more people to study at the College. Pray also for the Ordination students who will be attending Synod. Ask God for it to be a fruitful time as the students grow understanding the Anglican systems of governance.
27 August
Youthworks Staff Conference – pray for each member of staff across Youthworks’ various teams, that they will use their time well, enjoy community with each other, reflect on the first half of the year and plan for the year ahead.
Pray for House Conference happening on 29-31. Pray for the children and youth ministers attending, that they would grow in their knowledge of helping young people become disciples of Jesus. Pray also for Rev Dr Keith Condie and Dr Kamina Wust as they speak over the course of the conference.
3 September
Please pray for next week’s meeting of Synod. Pray for the elected parish representatives and our church leaders, that God would bless them with creativity, enthusiasm and wisdom.
10 September
Please pray for the Conference Centres team as they undertake training and professional development this week. May they bond closely as a team and learn new skills to serve our guests well.
17 September
Pray for Christian Outdoor Education (COE) recruitment – that many people will come forward to pursue work in this ministry. Pray for the team, that they would be given much wisdom and discernment as they seek the right candidates for the various roles available.
24 September
Pray for Leaders in Training (LiT) spring camp – theme ‘Unexpected Hero’. Pray for the youth attending, that they would be challenged, equipped and encouraged as they learn how to be a servant of Jesus and his people in their community.
1 October
Pray for the churches and groups attending Conference Centres over school holidays. Pray for youth to grow further in their faith journey and for the safety of all groups. Praise for the Conference Centres team that serve our guests.
8 October
Christian Outdoor Education (COE) – Pray for camps running in Term 4 and that young people will enjoy their time in the great outdoors.
Pray that the end of year recruitment drive towards COE’s December intake of trainees goes well. Pray for a miraculous influx of applicants and wisdom for those in charge of interviewing
