Good afternoon and a very warm welcome to Loughborough University Stadium for our United Counties Premier division fixture versus Quorn AFC.

The team have been on great form in recent weeks having been unbeaten in the United Counties League in our last 3 games. Our fixture versus Heanor Town last weekend was an exciting one as we came back from 1-0 down in the 75th minute to score a flurry of goals in the final 20 minutes and come out 4-1 winners. The team had endless chances but left it late to capitalise and win the game.

This week our BUCS teams have been back in action with our Men’s 3s, 4s and 5s all picking up wins. Our 5th team are sat top of their league table and hoping to stay there as they approach the end of the season as well as the 3rd and 4th team now sat mid table. Our Women’s teams also had a successful Wednesday with the 3rd and 4th team coming out on top to continue their fantastic run of form.

Quorn AFC will be a tough game today. Despite facing each other very early on in the season and coming out 4-1 winners, Quorn have found some good form since then and we expect today to be a competitive encounter against the local side.

Next week, we will face Abbey Hey at home in the Fifth Round Proper of the FA Vase. Please do put the date in the diary as we are expecting a big crowd to come and support the Scholars as we look to progress to the Quarter Finals for the first time in the club’s history! It would be great to see you all there. We would like to welcome the players, supporters and directors of Quorn AFC and look forward to what will no doubt be an exciting game
