World Book Day Special It was a very unusual start to WBD month, but it ended on a high with all students back in school! WBD on Thursday 4 March, was celebrated by students and staff alike, with a ‘Match the Selfie with the Shelfie’; the winners were all called William! They each won an Easter egg for matching the most correct ‘Selfies with the Shelfie’. William Cadle

Hymers College also had the honour of remote visits from two nn award-winning authors: Sophia ett Bennett in January and Sarah Mussi in March to celebrate World Book Month. Both inspirational talks gave an entertaining and fascinating insight into how they became successful authors and the obstacles they had to overcome.
