David.
So the story begins... it has to be said that all stories start with words and David is our "Word Master"! Check our socials for David's weekly 'Word of the Week'.
But who is David?
David's journey began in Melbourne, where the bustling streets and vibrant culture shaped his early years. He ventured northward to Darwin, drawn by the promise of adventure and the allure of the tropics (and his dad). David recounts his time in Darwin fondly, reminiscing about the breathtaking sunsets over the Timor Sea and the wild beauty of the Top End, all watched out of Fannie Bay on one of his regular twilight sails on his boat, fondly known as the 'NTS'.
After several years in Darwin, David found himself gravitating towards Adelaide, a city that would become his true home for over two decades. Adelaide's friendly neighbourhoods won him over, as he has settled into life in an ECH village in Glenelg.
While David's health has had its challenges, he talks of his plans for the next trip to Indonesia with his partner Josie. They support 'Mandiri Crafts' that come out of Yogyakarta.

His philanthropic nature is evident, as he has dedicated himself to volunteer work, pouring countless hours into various community initiatives. He spoke animatedly about his experiences, from supporting the homeless at the Hutt Street Centre, as well as through the Pilgrim Church, to choirs in Darwin and in Adelaide. He has also been the 'library trolley' service at the Royal Darwin Hospital, an OpShop worker, and a Guide at the Bay Discovery Centre in the Glenelg Town Hall.
David's passion for community engagement is evident in every word he speaks!
But David's tale is more than just words; it is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and the profound impact one person can have when guided by a spirit of generosity and compassion. It is about creating spontaneous positivity, to help people travel through life...
