No commitment required. This program is available to any high school students with a valid Drivers License and mode of transportation.
APPRENTICESHIP
Apprenticeship is a unique opportunity that combines classroom and handson training with on-the-job experience. Apprentices earn a livable wage while they learn. Through on-going training, they add to their employability and knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
› Must be 18 years of age
› Have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSED)
› Have a valid driver’s license or consistent means of transportation
› ACT Math score of 15 (within last 5 years) OR Next Generation Accuplacer score of 237 (within last 5 years) OR pass the local math assessment
BENEFITS
Benefits may include health insurance, pension contributions, training, and vacation funds. Veterans may also be eligible to collect their GI Bill benefits while going through their Apprenticeship.

Pre-Apprentice @ 55% of Journey-Level Rate Earned: $25.05 / Hour
1st Year Apprentice @ 60% of Journey-Level Rate Earned: $54,640*
2nd Year Apprentice @ 70% of Journey-Level Rate Earned: $63,760*
3rd Year Apprentice @ 80% of Journey-Level Rate Earned: $72,860*
4th Year Apprentice @ 90% of Journey-Level Rate Earned: $81,980*
Total wages earned during four-year Apprenticeship: $273,240*
The Apprenticeship Program takes about four years, with a minimum of 5,840 paid hours of work experience and 560 hours of schooling.

YOUR NEXT STEPS
1. Contact the nearest Training Center to provide ACT or Next Gen score OR make an appointment for testing.
2. Once you provide the documentation to the Training Center and meet the requirements, your Joint Apprenticeship Committee will provide you with instructions on how to proceed.
3. Locate an employer to hire you as an Apprentice. We can help with this!
4. Meet the Joint Apprenticeship Committee where you will sign your Apprentice Contract with the State of Wisconsin, Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards.
5. Begin work and school as soon as scheduled for you.
