Let us be impressed that "setting our minds on the things above" is not having our head in the clouds. It is not spending our time in a day dream, rather a changed mind is to result in a changed life. Also remember that God is demanding that people who were addicted to such things (3:7) cease their practice. God does not accept the excuse that one cannot change. Colossians 3:8 “but now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth” “But now”: Seeing that the wrath of God is coming to punish those involved in
